Hey, this video was recommended to me and I loved it. I started flying on VATSIM about a month ago and its the best thing ever. I remember being so nervous and scared but honestly the controllers just want to give you guidance, its very rare that they will ever judge. Keep up the content!
Thanks for sharing. That first Vatsim flight is very stressful. Overall, not a bad job. If you can afford it, a Navigraph subscription is the way to go. Cheers.
Apologies for not uploading much recently. I went to England and I didn't bring my laptop so I couldn't edit anything. And sorry for not having different camera POVs in this video. I don't know what happened to the recordings of the different POVs. They just disappeared. And I also want to thank all of the controllers for being so patient with me, really thankful for that. Lastly, I would really appreciate you giving me some tips for future flights and/or tell me what I did wrong in this video, and please let me know what I should have done when I didn't understand something (for example when I didn't know what STAR I had).
Great job, my friend! Seems like you know the basics of the operations. Much better than some others that I have seen. You will acquire experience and confidence with each flight you do. Smooth flying and landings!
Im a little late but i couldnt help but notice the bug here 1:17, i had the same issue before. I would go to the menu and then back to the cockpit, and the flaps and speedbrakes would go all the way down, same as yours, as well as the throttle.
@@DiligentNosyemelie i think it just has to do with my systems because i currently run it on a gaming laptop, and laptops have a tendancy to mess up things in msfs like calibration and this. glad im not the only one with the issue though.

@@TUIfly_simpilot thank you! And thanks for the tip, I didnt know the difference between the versions so I just stack to the normal one. Ill make sure to update it as soon as I get the chance.
Yo great for first try bro! I’m 12 and I can fly the 777 a310 a320 and 737 but I don’t have vatsim since I’m on Xbox and I would really like to try it out sometime also remember to slow down to under 10 knots during sharp turns on taxi and before u go toga on takeoff, stabilize your engines to 40% and return ur side stick to neutral at 100 knots (80 in a Boeing) and most importantly stay on the center line and flare at 30 ft from the ground on landing this will really improve your flying
@@DiligentNosyemelie very understandable my friend, you tried ur best that’s all that counts what I would do is really learn the a320 well and study it until your confident with it then go onto vatsim ;)
@@Olek_da_Aviator yeah ive been flying the a32nx for a pretty long time and ik it, still stressful when u cant only focus on ur aircraft, but have to focus on atc aswell
your flying skills could do some work but overall you did good for starting vatsim for the first time, I recommend getting comfortable with the plane you're flying so you dont struggle with the landing and takeoffs.
you are insane I dont mean this in a rude way but my computer runs better than yours and youre still way better than me keep up the great flying and the vids! Edit: Youre also so calm when you have glitches, I could NEVER!
@jannadarr So yes, I have the pmdg 737-800 and I have the tca thrustmaster sidestick and throttle quadrant and the thrustmaster rudder pedals. My tip for starting VATSIM would probably be to just do it since the longer you wait the more nervous you get. And start small, dont start with an event at a massive airport. I started at some relatively small airports, I think I shouldent have gone to copenhagen tho as it was quite busy, but it was kinda the only place with atc. Good luck!
Honestly this is a great video like 👏👏👏. I just have a few questions, What are your pc/laptop specs? What do you use to fly (joystick or yoke) etc. Lastly, don’t be nervous when on vatsim, it may seem intimidating but atc is always there to give you guidance. I recommend you watch Alpha originals as he plays on vatsim and you could learn to use atc more confidently from listening to him. Also great editing especially for your age. Anyway, you’ve earned yourself a sub! ❤️
Idk what my specs are, I have a Dell laptop so it isnt the best but i have the thrustmaster tca sidestick ans throttle quadrant. And ty for the tips, I do actually watch alpha originals. @@Numbtea they are actually really good, espacially for airbus aircraft, I might get the addon for it too soon, and I also have the thrustmaster rudder pedals
You didn't crash that a good thing already. i also had this bad take-offs on a keyboard. I am also tring to set all of my root from departure to aprroach and arrival before the flight. So with this i usually doesn't have questions about what star i should use. Main rule of aviation: 1 Aviate 2 Navigate 3 Communicate. Be carefull next time about that overspeed. If something goes wrong you should act properly. A 320 has a table in the cockpit of a maximum speed for each flaps configuration. So if for 1+f flaps max speed is over 215. i usually set 210 knots manually and only then i set flaps to 1+f. And ye you really need a better PC for this game.
@@Valentin_MeL yeah I kinda crashed on takeoff haha. But yeah about the star, I thought I would get one from atc, cuz they wouldent know which one I put in, but yeah about the overspeed, I didnt really care about it cuz 1, its only a sim and 2, I was at like 160 knots on final because of the steep decsent and I really had to slow down. And my laptop runs the game just fine tbh, it would be good with a more powerful one or a pc but yeah, it is what it is.
@@DiligentNosyemelie I am usually tring to be as professional in a sim as i can be. But i guess it's up to you how to play. But like a capitan joe always saing: A good pilot is always learning.
@@Valentin_MeL yeah i mean me too ig, but in that situation i just had to slow down cuz otherwise my landing speed would have been 190kts haha! But yeah in the future ill probably be less stressed when on vatsim so things might go better then.
