I'm learning this song for a middle school presentation with a young friend of mine. I've never heard of this musical, or this tune. It's fun to play, but I feel there's room to relax that incessant Dsus within the chorus with a quick pinky lift into the Em. Just my opinion. Thanks for posting this tutorial; it helped a LOT!
I know. I felt the same way about the Dsus4, but it's what the piano's playing. Use what i have here and adjust it to your liking :).

One Music School Have you heard of The Last Five Years? There's a song called Summer in Ohio and it's played with a uke and piano and it was a great uke part!! You should take a listen :)
I actually taught that song to a couple of advanced students a year go, and I have to say it is really hard. It changes chords so often and so quickly, and I can see why no one has really tackled it. It took me three weeks to teach it to my students, and they gave up. "I'm Still Hurting" is much better :).

You're strumming pattern is not consistent with the strumming pattern shown on screen, and during the pre-chorus, you added extra strumming and an extra chord during the play-along without saying anything. Also, the play-along was extremely fast.
Somehow my guitar sounds different than yours.. I've tuned it but still-

This song has a lot of syncopation in it that can be frustrating for a beginner. The chords are easy, but the strumming might not be for you yet. If you still want to try to tackle this one, I did make a video on how to slow down or speed up any youtube video so that you can slow it down to your liking. I hope that helps. If you want some suggestions for songs that are great for beginners, let me know and I'll link lost videos.
