I m not a musician ,but I'm very familiar with the experiences that inspired Vangelis to write this music.When you walk alone in the mountains of Greece in the autumn , looking down at the sea ,When there's only you the nature and the smells, then you feel surrounded all the souls from Antiquity who passed through there ,whisper to you,.And if you have talent ,you can fully express with this music what they say to you.

I've been searching for this song for SO FUCKING LONG that I just cannot believe it finally found me. Right now I'm on the 3rd year of med school, and the first and only time I've heard it was about 15 years ago, on my cousin's medicine graduation. I didn't want to be a doctor back then, but I've really enjoyed the song. Many years later I've remembered this song and started looking for it... I REALLY tried my best and couldn't!!! Attended the Andre Rieu concert the other night in Detroit. Second time we've seen him and he is just magical. I had never heard this piece however until last night. Absolutely stirs the soul.
For most of my life (which probably means over eighty percent of it) I thought Vangelis was a band.
It's never too late to learn, to know and therefore appreciate what might have been underapreciated before.
