- I built a new mansion in the hills of Del Sol Valley for the one and only Judith Ward! This celebrity has a gold & marble covered mansion with tons of entertaining space - and a view of the entire city! Her old home was tragic, so this one needed to be fantastic! Let me know what you think!

Judith, even with her horrendous reputation, deserved a much better house. This looks great!
i love how this turned out! i think judith wouldn’t even own a car, she has a personal driver and goes everywhere in a limo, i think i would’ve decorated the garage as a hangout space for all her butlers,maids, etc. I don’t think she would’ve put it there herself but she hasn’t been in the garage in years and doesn’t know it’s there 😂
why is this the funniest and most accurate thing, she would find out they have the hangout space in the garage and make them take it all down and then continue not to use the space herself 😭
I was thinking the same, I would put a limo in driveway and turn that into her employes space.
I feel like Judith would have a room dedicated to just an absurd amount of portraits of herself in it

I third this! I did a renovation to their house a few months ago, I randomly added my own Sim in as a "butler" because at the time I had removed most of my CC and I wasn't certain how much I'd get into playing her, and it improved the house by so much even though I did very few direct alterations to the building itself. I'm thinking of redoing it again because I kinda regret how I handled the foyer and stairs but ya know... They could also use an extra room for an actual butler IMHO. They really need the help with cooking and cleaning and childcare. Both parents are working and get offers for recording stuff that takes hours to film and edit while the kiddo attends school and edits videos but their bedrooms are gigantic lol there's plenty of extra room. I didn't even steal one of the bedrooms for my own sim, I felt guilty doing that 'cause Octavia deserves better, but I shrank Orange's room... I didn't even shrink the bathrooms though I did turn one into multiple smaller rooms for privacy if a Sim walks in while another Sim is already using the toilet or tub and in retrospect I could've used platforms for that.
But an entirely new mansion expressly built for the Bailey-Moon family would be *wonderful.* It'd be even funnier if Tonya decided to do one with an EA restrictions and their budget (maybe with a little extra to make up for depreciation), just to see how far she can push it. I mean, I get that one of the reasons they got a terrible house is the devs were limited to Base game and Get Famous (plus whatever toilet never got made RIP every bathroom) and we've had a bunch of updates since then that they didn't have access to but STILL... That said, I also love not worrying about all that because that's how we get truly beautiful builds.
@j.stanley1669 I also remade there house in my save but it's nice to see how others interpret different homes in the sims 4 glad you had some fun with it and I would love to see it with base game and get famous as well but I would be happy with whatever she comes up with

Judith and my actor sim are besties. She invited me to her house and I was shocked by it. I guess my expectations for her were too high lol.
I would love to see you do the delgato house! They have such a big, awkwardly furnished house in brindleton bay and i feel like with all the newer kids’ stuff we got since cats and dogs, you could make such a fun house for that family! Squishmellows ❤

I’m showing my age here, but this reminds me so much of Cher’s house in Clueless. I just love it! 😍😍 As for the garage. I might have put a bunch of cars in there. Judith would have a car for every day of the week 😂

Builds like THIS is why the Sims team creates such detailed objects! 😍😍😍 How you designed this house, The vault, the two kitchens, the beautiful seating areas, etc., this is how I believe they intended for us to use build mode! Amazing girl!!
I definitely agree that Del Sol Valley needs a refresh! Del Sol Valley is borderline unrealistic where you have glamorous-touristy Hollywood, urban-suburban Los Angeles, and Calabases luxury all in ONE.
I wish they made it just straight up valley OR super metropolitan, I wouldn't mind Del Sol Valley being damn similar to San Myshuno! Judith Ward could be living in a penthouse suite, just saying!
I love watching you build from the outside in. I have been doing my floorplan for optimal gameplay/room proportion first and then ending up with a roofing job that takes 50 tries not to look like garbage lol. I'll have to try working on the outside first one day. Hard to break old habits but the other day I actually worked off a floorplan on the internet and the house is super functional and the roofline is beautiful cause I copied it.
I build floorplans first, and exteriors and roofing after as well, to optimize gameplay. Luckily, roofing usually comes to me fairly easily. Adjustments sometimes need to be made to the floorplan. I have built outside-in before, and while it usually looks good, the interiors are often compromised. Sometimes I get lucky, and it works out, but I'm a form follows function kind of girl. I've always been mystified about how all these Sim builders seem to make it work. It's just not how I was taught. Copying floorplans is a smart idea if you're challenged by roofing.
Loooooove when there are renovations of those bigger lots! I would be so happy if you shared a renovation of the Villarreal mansion, that one is soooo needed! And the Delgato family house as well 🥲 And for houses with no Sims in it, definitely the Rio Verde in Oasis Springs and that massive Brindleton Bay mansion!

I love this home! The interior reminds me of the Hollywood Regency style. The plush materials, gold accents, and expensive drapery and carpets make me think of this style
I love the way your mansion for Judith turned out! The kitchen is magnificent!!! I was inspired to rebuild the Ward Den a few weeks ago-I also added butler’s quarters, but now for some reason I no longer have the butler option in the game?! Like, when Sims go to the hire service option, everything BUT the ‘hire butler’ choice appears! #squishmallows!

This is my favorite remake of yours so far. Captured the essence of both the character and the original vision, plus it takes advantage of the size of the lot and blends in with the surroundings

i think it would have been nice to have turned the attached garage into a studio/one bedroom apartment for the butler and then turned the butler's room into a work space for judith. like kind of an office but mostly a place to her to practice her lines and hold meetings with her agent
That's a good idea actually 🤔 and i just realized she doesn't have an office space at all in this house, and no computer, which I think u need one for the acting career to choose an agency and browse/ find acting gigs. I don't think u can do all that on the phone, so yeah it woulda made sense to have an office for her, also with a microphone in it to build her charisma and like one whole wall of the room covered in those floor to ceiling mirrors so she can stare at herself lmao and practice her craft. (btw, in ur comment you wrote "attached garage" lol but I think u meant "DETACHED garage", since it's not actually connected to the house, it can't be "attached"😊)

I'd love to see your take on the Bailey Moons or the Roswells if you're in a mansion mood. If you're open to non-townie builds, it'd be so cool to see a home for a more eclectic celebrity - someone with a ton of money that they spend tailoring their home to their special interests
The way you mixed colors together in this build really helped me actually like the more gaudy pieces from Get Famous the color scheme is really well done!

I love the way you did the marble flooring too! I rarely use it edit: because it's either underwhelming or overwhelming when it's all one color and so expensive but the soft checker pattern works wonders! Almost like it's subtly glowing. I'm gonna steal that. Edit: squishmellows lol
I love this series of townie builds so much! This finished up beautifully from when I saw it last! It's better than Judith Ward deserves, but she's got the money to buy a designer.

I love sims like Judith. Out of all my creative mediums, writing is my favorite and most advanced. So when I build homes for them or fix the sims themselves, I think of things they would say and how they would interact in the real world

Squishmellows, this build is so elegant and extra. The level of fanciness reminds me of the first hotel and casino I stayed at in Vegas.
My family and I had just left the North? rim of the Grand Canyon. (they had no cell service, that’s how middle of nowhere we were.) I could feel the light layer of sand over my legs from my morning walk. And I still had a stick (thatvI stepped on) embedded into the heel of my shoe. I felt filthy, too filthy to be in such a fancy hotel. I felt out of place, like I should just leave and go back to the middle of the desert. It was so pretty though, I didn’t want to leave. I get that same feeling with your build.
So much better than the original! This feels way more like a home that is the last gasp of old Hollywood, which is how I picture Judith Ward. I really hate that My Wedding Stories completely replaces base game weddings because it is still so glitchy that I know I would hate playing like that, but I LOVE the build/buy, especially those windows! Everything you choose was just perfect. Squishmellow.

Love the build! A lot of mansions like this have a “luxury garage” where your cars are just on display- not that Judith is a car enthusiast but why not? 💰🤪 another thing I thought of was including a private screening room where Judith has parties to watch the new films she’s starring in. Just a fun idea. 👍🏼
I’m living for the concept of Judith banishing her s.o.’s unsightly workout equipment to the garage lol, tho I could definitely also see her using the space herself as a personal gym or yoga studio so she doesn’t have to be seen by the public (gasp) while she’s exercising
not me giggling at the idea of a boytoy bedroom and imagining her just banishing the guys there when she's annoyed with their boring conversation XD also as you went on in the build I'm realizing more and more how similar me and judith's taste in deco are similar lmao, like the bedroom in particular gimmie all the pink and gold luxe stuff lmao

I'm not sure if I'm sad or grateful that squishmallows became so big/a thing after I grew up. Because now I don't want to acquire too many things in general, but as I child I would've been obsessed and had like an entire roomful if my parents allowed it.
Also, love the build. Was so excited to see this. Get Famous really does have some of the all time worst builds. Amazing job.

He's so big and squishy~ I loved this build you did an amazing job! I get so intimidated by the larger plots! You filled the space so well. So stunning!

I'm so glad there's a better version of the Ward Den now! Most of the ones on the Gallery aren't very practical. The one I currently have was VERY extravagant with its 4 floors, many bedrooms, any amenity you ever wanted, golden everywhere, etc. -- which fits Judith Ward extraordinary well -- but it wasn't very practical to play in. I appreciate the time and effort that builder put into the aesthetics of the house, which served me well, but I think I'ma have to exchange it for Gryphi's version

What an awesome build! It looks SO much better than the in-game lot. Judith is so awful, but I like the idea of her having extra drama thrown her way. I always imagine she had a baby when she was very young that she put up for adoption/shipped off to distant relatives because she didn't want a child to interfere with her career that comes back into her life as a teen or older and moves in with her.

I like the idea for the garage, I would have made it into a storage area for her costumes from past movies, or some props from shows she worked on. That way she can have a "garage sale" every few months to sell to museums.

Omg I just so many ideas for some of the homeless (well, not really) occult sims, i.e.. the sages. I know they can't really live there, but home designed around their personalities. Beautiful home as always 💖
