I totally agree with you about your discrepancy with the friction shocks but, as for every thing else, I couldn’t disagree more. The plastics to me on the inside are of the same quality as an hbx or WLtoys, the power out of this is impressive, to me the tires made great contact and hook up, I do think a light duty foam would be beneficial for these tires. The controller for my large hands felt fine and worked extremely well. I’ve beaten mine pretty hard and other than the body shell cracking everything has held up beautifully. Over all ( other than the use of friction shocks) I was pleasantly impressed. I like it as well or better than my 1/16 Hbx trucks and would say it’s on par with Remo hobbies brushless rocket( which also needs oil shocks as well) and is actually a bit faster than remos brushless car. That being said , I still enjoyed your perspective on this rc, even though mine may differ. Please don’t take any offense to any of it as we all have differing opinions. Hope you have a great weekend brother! Take care!👊🏼💯😎🙌🏼
Mine came yesterday from bang good… the range is only about 50m but it is great fun and the friction shocks add a little comedy to the way it runs but I will be changing them out
I will say the 1/24th scale look really good with lights. Especially drifters at that scale. Also my outside buggy i have a single light to run that beast at night. I love night bashing with the boys!
I ❤ the cheap stuff. I just got in the hobby a couple years ago. Starting out cheap is the best way to learn IMO. I knew I wanted an Infraction eventually and that would be an expensive vehicle to learn on. Thanks for your content!

I bought this one and i think i have a cracked out version, this thing ripps.. i mean its just killer, i pop willies all day i cant even keep it stable. Upgraded the shocks and thicker tires and it still ripps .. nuts. 😂. Btw ran it with a 2s lipo and and it ripped at medium level
@9graff9 I put the stock tires back on because they performed better. But what I did do is extend the wheels with 20mm extensions, which made the stance wider and help with not flipping over.
Love you honest reviews man, I would not buy another RC without oil filled shocks or brushed. Brushed the motor blows after a bit and the RC’s meant for off-road need oil filled shocks. The added cost to buy them separately you can sometimes buy another rc that is better with the upgrades done, especially when you consider if it has plastic gears vs metal etc. I have the MJX 16209 which I got on extreme special and I would get that over this one.
I got this for my son as his old hbx 2in1 went wrong and can only get shipped to uk for like £30! I got the bl version and upgraded to oil shocks (£ 6) not much for all those moaning about spend for upgrade. He & must admit i love it. So much fun off rd and is a good size, with functional lights he loves. I think it cud do with a fan as the bl gets hot. I added more grease to the diffs so runs even smoother. Theres not a lot of bl short course trucks out there for ~£80. In all this is a dimond in the rough but the potential is definitally there😊 nb. The original springs are actually slightly diff thickness with the red bit easier to compress than blue. Hence 2 odd colour combo!
When searching for parts or even the car, search both jjrc and scy. I find when searching scy and the part number there’s more, and cheaper parts available. Ive got 3x scy cars for my kids. We’ve broken a front drive shaft, but that was down to driver error, and the steering is quite slow/weak, but otherwise I’m happy.
My opinion for the price point. The truck performs well from your video. The two colored spring’s have different rate’s I bet. It does suck with the friction shocks. But the entire package for 110$ would be pretty amazing.
Yeah but for 100 bucks there are mjx hyper go cars which are a lot better they come with oil filled shocks heatsink on the motor metal driveline parts, better servo for the same price...
Mate help something happened to my JJRC battery.. I bought new JJRC but it is not moving backward or forward but yes the steering works, it turns left and right but the light of the RC flashes continously which is a sign of battery mal fucntion, Now what should i do?
I just got mine about 2 weeks and I love it. I doesn't look special in any way but it works really well. I want to sell all of my wltoys because I am tired of replacing axles after 1or 2 runs. I bought the mjx not too long ago because of the unbendable axels and it's great but the throttle delay is terrible and I changed the receiver no improvement. I changed the shocks after the first run on the jjrc but i don't blame the companies for not wanting to deal with complaints of leaky shocks out of the box or soon after. I will take the trade off. Give me a drive train that handle itself. Thank you JJRC
Nice video, got mine a few days back and i agree...upgrades are needed what do you recommend? I've got a few bits to put on and see if they will improve the game.
finally a good review that will help you if you want to buy this car 👌 which wltoys or haiboxing can you recommend for about the same money? Would the Wltoys 12423 be a good choice for a 12 year old child with no RC experience?
Thank you! I can’t sugar coat the fact it’s not very good. Some of the videos out there are starting it’s awesome right out the box.. it’s not. Needs upgrades to be good. Wltoys 144001, 144010, 124019, mjx hyper go brushed/brushless, hbx 901a, hbx 16889a are all priced similar and are better out the box with minimal mods.
shame as it looks so good,, the brushed version is 52 pounds delivered so very reasonable,, so maybe if you can get some oil filled shocks for a decent price?
I watch all your videos as soon as they release and think you create great content, but what I can’t stand is the hating on simple things. Your videos would be very much more enjoyable without the repeating negative remarks.
hating on friction shocks is a simple thing? Made the car undrivable in my opinion.. in this price range it should have them from the start. Not reapeating negative remarks.. I cant/and wont sugar coat a turd.. not on this channel..

WLToys is one of the worst RC company, just change the case or change the motors then increase the price terribly, HSP do the same, but FS and ZD racing are much better, the LC racing and Rlaarlo are quite good but they also not cheap at all😢

Link to shocks and tires?
Which battery i can use to drive this car for long timee bro. Suggest me which battery i can buy
@antonyshibu7791 here is the link a 2s that could work. One of best batteries I have. I'll post the 3s.

I love the cheeky video title. 😂
Had to be done 😂😂
hi what best motor for normal high speed rc 1/10 3650 11000KV works good and stable? without go in air and without flip?
Good review Ricky thanks for your upload 👍🙏🐈
Thanks mate
I bought one and put oil filled shocks on it and it has a lot better handling.
I think that’s all it needs to be good 😅
@beyondRC a bigger battery helps and making the tires softer too. Soaked my tires in oil to soften them up a bit.
which shock do you indicate? Please
@@higorcarvalhohchello, do you an idea of which oil shocks I can upgrade this car? Didn't find a single article talking about this :/

I put some cheap oil shocks on mine it did help, but with the 2 wheels on the back, it will sag in the back bad.
What kind of oil shocks do you put on?
Great review bro
Yeah better of with other options, but thing is we r lacking on short course truck within that price range
Is this better than hbx 901a ?
Love your vdos ❤
No! 901a is superior in every way
Great Video.
On The remo hobby rocket how can ya find the esc size ive seen ppl run 3s
I am actually considering one of these to upgrade a good toy grade body to higher performance.
Should do a back to back out the box and then shove some wltoys shocks on it and say look at what it could of been.
