We were season pass holders for the last 8 years, and became friends with some of the employees. The rumor always was thar Cedar Fair was having a hard time with the city. After doing a loiter research, I believe when the opportunity finally came around to sell the amusement park side, the only way they could do it was to get rid of the waterpark side. I looked online, and at one of the Auora City Council meeting minutes they actually say that development can't happen " until the waterpark is gone." It's all very sad & unfortunate.
I was a lifeguard there in the summer of 2016. So nostalgic to see the place I worked 10 hours a day 5 days a week. Kinda cool to see where I jumped in, I could point it out to you exactly where I got all 9 saves. Such a sad thing.
Nice video. I tried to fly my drone over Geauga Lake last summer and as soon as I pulled into the parking lot, a Bainbridge cop stopped me and kicked me out :(

+Brennan S I'm glad you enjoy the video! I'm guessing they will be taking the slide tower up to cedar point...they cleared a large piece of land up there for something that size.

Baconthedrone i think the old aquarium building is still up, its mostly just empty fields that look awkward, but anything would be great.

Can you do one now? I want to see it in it's first summer without water. I like the winter videos but winter can make it look worse than it is.
I sure will! Currently I am busy moving and dealing with my wedding but I will shortly.
