i love this beanie so much...i crochet for the homeless, live in south dakota, so we certainly have needs for hats, i make one or two of these for the different give aways every year...
I have been crocheting for a month. Your instructions are so easy to follow that I have made two so far. I bought your pattern. I love them, thank you 💕
Hi Tiffany, I am a total beginner but I wanted to try this and although I had to rip it out numerous times and start over , I finally got it and it turned out beautifully! Thank you so much!! Now onto the shawl!
This beanie is kicking my butt! I though I was doing it right, but looks like I have one of the rows inside out, After about 3 plus hours, I'm just to the V part and decided to give myself a brake. I really struggle with the beginning (where to place the first stitch) and last stitch on the rows. It's such a cute beanie and I'm determined to finish it.
Thanks for trying on the beanie at the end of your tutorial - I can really see how it fits! You’re the first and only artist I have seen do this! I hope you do it with all of your hats!

Thank you Tiffany!! Such a beautiful beanie and a WONDERFUL tutorial. I can't wait to show you all on Wednesdays meeting! Can you let me know how to make it an adult large. I bought the pattern but it didn't have that info on it. Thanks!
Hi I absolutely love this pattern, I have done the 62 rows for the brim and it measures 16.5 inches. The friend I’m making it for has a 22 inch head so how do I increase the size please? Thank you x
Round 5.....these are NOT front loop dc's. It's front post dc's. Also, I used Back Post dc's for round 2 and Back Post sc's for round 3. Now the ridges face straight out instead of up. Try it. Now I'm getting ready to bpsc round 7. I saw a picture of the hat but didn't realize what a challenge it would be. But I like a challenge. After 60+ years of crocheting and teaching it, I'm up for it. I know a strong pattern concept when I see one. I see how old this is, so when I finish this hat, I will snoop around and see how far you've come. I can't wait to see.
Thank you so much for including all of the tips and corrections you found in this Paige Beanie pattern. This was one of my first patterns I typed up for people so yes it is very rough. I should go back and update it. I think you will be shocked to see the comparison of this pattern compared to something I have recently released. So much growth. Thank you for seeing and understanding the time difference and how someone can grow and change. It is very much appreciated. ❤️
@@CrochetWithTiffany Agreed. It's a strong pattern that just needs tweaking. It would also be nice to see measurements and multiples listed. I did a lot of adjustments and mind-reading that I don't think a beginner could do alone. Thanks for getting back to me!

Looks great! Aren’t the “v” stitch parts actually quadruple-crochets? Trebles only have you wrap the yarn twice, not three times, I think. Single-crochet = 0 yarn-overs Double-crochet = 1 yarn-over Treble-crochet = 2 yarn-overs
You are correct! At the time of me making this video I was not familiar with the term quadruple crochet or double treble. Learned to much just by creating videos on youtube
@@CrochetWithTiffany Something else considering the right terms: when you say 'front loop double crochet', do you actually mean 'front post double crochet'? Because the loop is on top of the post, which should be ignored when you do a front post double crochet. No big problem, I can see what you are doing so it's fine, but it might confuse beginners. Thanks for the lovely pattern!

Hi Tiffany! I started working with this beanie yesterday... I love the design..👌 But I’m having trouble in ‘V’rows.. I end up with 12 V’s, each V’s takes up 5 stitches.. so 12x5=60. At last two stitches are remaining between first ‘V’and last ‘V’. Where I went wrong? I need help. 😊

Hi Katherine! So excited you are making this beanie. My apologies for the confusion. You should have 13 'V''s. The last 'v' may be tight in there with one less stitch in between. You may have to eyeball what or where to make the last 'v' but it will all work out! Having trouble with the "V" stitches. How many should there be? I'm having trouble dividing the 62 stitches. I've ended up with 13 V's. Is it one V uses 5 stitches? Sorry?!!!
Hi Gary! Thank you so much for asking! It sounds like you got it. I also count 13 'V' shapes on my beanie. The 62 stitch count gets a little weird here at the Diamond pattern. If you need to fix the stitch count after the 'v' row by adding a stitch that is perfectly fine. Best place to sneak in a stitch if you need to actually is in the first row of single crochets. Sounds like you are doing great! Keep going and let me know if you run into another question. 😊🧡🧶
Hi Ali! The stitch count requirement is Multiple of 6 + 2. If you would want to make this beanie larger I would recommend making your brim 68 rows (which is a multiple of 6 + 2) or even 74 rows. Though I don't think you would want to go bigger than that. The other adjustment you will run into is at the top after the last row of Sc BLO where we start to decrease. You will want to increase that to Dc Dec then 6 Dc with a decline in Dc each row there after just like the pattern shows. If you are going to use the 74 rows then I would begin the Decrease rows with Dc Dec then 7 Dc with a decline in Dc each row there after. Let me know if this makes sense or not to you. If you don't hear back from me within 2 days send me an email. It's easy to miss comments and I want to make sure I can help. Hookedforhope@gmail.com

Hi Sharon! Ok, if you are working on the band at the beginning of the pattern then you will turn your work and sc in the Back Loop Only of the very first stitch. If you have made the band and are now working on the body of the beanie you have probably just finished your first row of Dc's in which you will chain 1, turn your work so you are looking at the inside of the beanie and sc in the Back Loop Only of the first stitch and in each stitch around for row 2. I hope that helped. 😊

Hi Gary! Thank you so much for asking! It sounds like you got it. I also count 13 'V' shapes on my beanie. The 62 stitch count gets a little weird here at the Diamond pattern. What multiples to you use in your stitch count to increase the size?
I am attempting this and wonder if after you ch 1 from the first row do you start sc in 2nd stitch?

Um, just made one and it doesn't fit me. It fits my toddler lol. I crochet tight so that probably why.
Hi Becky! Oh No! Bummer. Haha, sounds like you made a super cute beanie for your toddler though. 😄. Hmm, Try making this beanie again but increase your crochet hook size. Let me know if that helps. 😉🧶🧡
I made this for my 12 year old and it’s a little tight. Gonna try it again with an I Hook. 5.25mm
