Hi Sarah! What an Fabulous tutorial for your almond stitch beanie! Thank you for your sharing your love of crochet and for your patient and loving teaching method! I will try this working into the magic circle hat top technique! Wow! What a neat method! Thank You Sarah! Kind Regards and happy crocheting from Texas ❤
I never thought this beanie is so easy to learn and do. Tried before with other instructors many times but failed. This time I am so thrilled that I got it with your clear instructions. I did it
I love the textured look of this hat. I am working on it but can't get it to come out right with 40 stitches. I ripped it out 4 or 5 times. Since the brim is 10 stitches and the rest of each row is worked in multiples of 4, I finally started with a chain of 38 stitches. That gives 10 stitches for the brim and 28 stitches which divides into 7 multiples of 4. The pattern is working for me with that alteration.
This is amazing. When I'm done with my commissions I'm going to make these with the hope that Dana Farber Cancer institute, where my husband goes for his treatments, starts taking donations again. He goes weekly for infusions, and I would bring a basket every week of hats to put on the donation table. And when covid started they stopped taking donations. Like the yarn could carry the virus. But regardless I'm going to make these, and sell them. Thank you so much for this pattern! One of my most favorite yarns also used for this pattern. I have about 50 balls of it! Have a great day. Stay safe, stay healthy.
people like you will always hold a spot in my heart. I received a crocheted item from Dana Faber during my treatment.. it is appreciated so don't stop.
you are just the bomb diggity.. I love to listen to your voice as you teach.. Reminds me an elementary school teacher.. You always leave me with my mouth open to find I can do something that sounds so daunting. {btw} I ordered 6 more Rowan Crochet hooks. They work just beautifully.. I highly recommend them folks.
Thanks a million. I tried several times to make it but failed to do so but I didn't give up. Now I made my first hat and it turned out beautiful, thanks to the written pattern that helped me .
thanks, lovely hat. I took a bit of the bulk out of the top by doing a single crochet instead of a half double crochet in the first 8 stitches of the crown end. It keeps the pattern going with a little less bulk
All of your hats are so beautiful, that it's so difficult to choose the only one in order to begin to knit the hat. Thank you so much for your video. ♥️
I love this pattern! I wish I had it last week when I was making the 5th hat for people my husband works with. When it gets cold again I'm sure I'll have more orders! Thank you!
Hello, thanks for sharing this beautiful pattern. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but the almonds are coming out stacked instead of staggered. Please help. Thanks again.
it looks like. you are using the front of the stitch to close the beanie? am I seeing correct? you ay back look but that's not where you hook is going. 15:56
Hi There....question....when you talk about joining the seam at 15 mins 16 seconds, you indicate the have the beanie "right side out", then you say "turn right side out after closing magic loop" at 16 mins 30 seconds. So I am a bit confused....when joining the side seam shouldn't this be 'right sides together, wrong side out' ?. Thank you. Gorgeous pattern ! Stunning.
I am doing exactly what you say but I always end with the half double instead of the slip stitch.. I slip stitch 10 then 4 more then 4 half double and so on and I end with the 4 half doubles.. Can't figure it out..
This is at least 2 years old now, but before steaming, you said to have the hat ride sides out. Then you seamed it and said to turn it right side out. I'm guessing it's supposed to be wrong side out while seaming? I've been making different pattern hats to try different stitches and patterns, and this will be my next one!
I'm having the same problem with a stitch left over so so so frustrating. I'm going to do what the other lady said and do 38 or 38 so it comes out. I sent an email to rich textures but didn't get a reply. I would love to know how she makes this work
No, it really is the back loop. The "3rd loops" of the hdc sts you made in the previous row are always facing towards you since you turn the work after every row. And also slip sts don't even have 3rd loops.

Yay! That’s wonderful!!
Love this, Sarah! Please, more hats where the brim isn’t made first! Great method here🌻
bedankt voor allemaal die mooie mutsen en duidelijke uitleg, groetjes uit Nederland🧶🪡

Yep same here, the original stitch count of 40 didnt work for me either
Same here.
Same here, so frustrating. I'm going to do 39 skip 1 then stay pattern for 38 stitches left. Before I kept having 1 stitch left over
Try with 46 stitches. Ten stiches for the brim and the rest is 5
Yes! Same here. It's so frustrating. I like your alteration. Thank you.

Brilliant!
How many rows did you do for this pattern
I love the look of this beanie but try as I might I just can't seem to get it right. I've tried 40, 43, 46, and 38 beginning chains. I give up.
Can you share where you got your fur pom pom? Is there a brand you can recommend? Thanks pattern looks unusual and beautiful

Спасибо за мк красоты.
When you say slip stitch, it looks like single crotch - is it the same?

Türkçe anlatım da olsa daha iyi olurdu çok beğendim
Can't find the written pattern .
You will find the written pattern here: richtexturescrochet.com/almond-beanie-crochet-pattern/
Wouldn't this stitch be lovely in a sweater?
It would be!
Nice! I used the link for the pattern, but there is so much ads! I will view the video!
😊😊😊😊
It looks like you’re working in the “third loop” rather than the “back loop.”
No, it really is the back loop. The "3rd loops" of the hdc sts you made in the previous row are always facing towards you since you turn the work after every row. And also slip sts don't even have 3rd loops.
How many rows did people do to get to 18 inches?
