Will definitely let you know because run this one and tactacam and looking to add one or more of other and this year will be a test. See how they hold up in Wisconsin weather. I'm not planning of taking them down .
Hello Jase, thank you for your feedback. Currently, some of our cameras may experience faster battery drainage due to potential impacts during transportation, but this is not a normal occurrence for us. Regarding the issue of water damage to the camera, our cameras are designed with IP66 waterproof rating, and we haven't encountered such problems with the large number of cameras we have sold. We would be more than willing to investigate and understand the specific issue that occurred.
Same problem you did. Get it to turn all green set it up and went to hook solar panel to it and boom it was off already tried to see if just needed to be trigger nope had to turn back on go threw all the flashing lights and all. Never sent one picture either.
I Did get mine to work after the firmware got updated. I can tell you battery drains fast 100 to 80 in 30 minutes. So I'm kinda wondering if you're died because battery went dead so fast. I hooked up to solar panel and 100% . I was absolutely ready to ship it back. But kept talking with customer service and we wanted to see if it was firmware and couldn't update that here at my house because of 40% signal strength. (first I was told it wouldn't operate on 40% signal strength but so many RUclips videos said they were running 40 to 60 so I found that hard to believe maybe just updating part but not sure. So I took it back outta the box since originally it was going back. So I threw batteries back in it and threw it in my truck drive 30 minutes away to town and it updated. Then the camera started working and functioning as it was suppose to stopped shutting off. Placed it on my shed for the night got tons of pictures. Still even at 40% signal. Just finally took it out to woods today. Since they have a 24 month warranty send yours back see if they can diagnose what happened to your camera 's. (See how well they hold up to warranty) . Companies backing up there products are a big selling point as well. I can say after a few days I actually really like the features way better then my tactacam 2.0 I feel. So we will see how they both do this year before I add more of one or another. Normally I never considered a cellular camera until this year because I live in kinda a dead zone. But my tactacam Verizon has strong service better then my phone lol. at&t well it's 40% even though there coverage map for my address says no service. Lol had to look it up few days ago.
@@Backwoods.country yes, batteries definitely die pretty quick. If you think of it, let me know how they work for you after a few months. Thanks for sharing all that!
So update on my camojojo experience! I did set this up with a cheaper 6v solar panel and put this camera out at the beginning of July. It is placed so it gets a few hours of sun a day but definitely gets shade too. It has been flawless! 100% battery and hasn’t dropped below. Good sound quality with the videos . Have this on a mineral site so it gets hit often. Also the day and night video quality is good enough but when you request an hd video it is amazing! I also stay between 60-100 % signal . Live feature has also worked perfectly for me as long as the camera is on the correct setting. I am honestly looking into replacing my tactacam with another camojojo! Also when you start to play a video on the app turn your phone sideways (more of a full screen view)and the video does get bigger. But you do need to hit play first. So solar panel is the way to go but I think with any cell cam that is what should be done anyway.
@@masterski03 awesome! Thanks for the update! Hopefully the service is getting better! I've stopped using mine cause it's just been too much maintenance. Solar panel is the way to go!
@Jase Outdoors if I only stuck with software engineering. Maybe chatgtp could write a code. They were so close at making this a killer product. I live in the boonies where you have enough reception to send a basic text (sometimes).
Not good. When I was having trouble with them and they stopped working again, it was because the batteries were dead. It was literally like 3 weeks. There are settings you can change to help with battery life but if you're going to buy these cams they need a solar panel
I don't recall exactly how many but I remember I said that was unacceptable. I had it at a spot I'd only get a couple videos per day, literally like 2 or 3. I did have it set to send instantly, who h used more battery consumption
I know a guy who loves them. I love the cam itself when it works. I just can't get them to work more than two weeks. Just gets frustrating. Maybe you'll have better luck. Let me know after a month!
@@JaseOutdoors I will do that. I’m hoping I like it too cause I was going to get another moultrie with them being on sale but instead trying something new. If it works good maybe I’ll get a solar panel attachment
Good quality vids, although I see some quivering in each of the example clips you gave and those were from the SD Card, decent pics; but limited to 10 Sec clips so is a no go for many... too short of a clip to be really useful or to share...
I'd be ok with 10 second video clips if the cams worked longer than a week. I have 3 of these cams and only 1 even turns on. I don't even use the 3rd because it'll stop working after 1 or 2 weeks
@@JaseOutdoors That is just crazy it happens like that. Some real snafu going on in the programming or processing within it.. something is telling it to shut off to conserve or is just not functioning with the cell signal well enough that it may need that to stay working in auto.. sad but true. They are going to have to prove it works all the time on at least 5 different units in order to trust it.. I don't trust others saying it is working well for them all the time when you get multiple units from them and they are all failing the same way... odds are that is representative unless you are doing something extremely out of the ordinary.. but you appear to have experience and know what you are doing with these products/cameras... Thanks!
Hi, I am in the market for a camera for my job with this special needs: I need to track rats in my clients is houses. They will b put in basements, crawls spaces or nay others hidden places where rats go. I need receive VIDEOS, not photos, and I need to receive it often and the longest videos possible , because I need to study the rats behaviour in case they don’t take my bait. I need to have access to live real time video too, in case my clients call me to tell me that’s something going on etc. And of course Night vision must be good and long batterie life, 15-days for exemple. In your experience could you advice me which one could be good for me? I live in Canada. Thank you very much.
Wow, that's an interesting request. Can't say I've even been asked about capturing rats before! Lol. So this CamoJojo has all that except one thing. It only sends 10 second clips. I have a review on Reolink Go PT Plus. You might want to check that one out as I think it would do everything you want. Also, Carpark that I'm reviewing right now might be a good option. Let me know what you decide and how it works.
