You cannot accurately predict the battery life on any camera because it is very dependent upon your settings, transfer time, and how many pictures a day you get. My recommendation, use an HME solar battery box as an external power source, and rechargeable lithium battery packs. It will save you tons of money in the long run over AA batteries.
What's the purpose for the solar panel ? It's not to keep the battery charged in the camera ??? That's the impression I'm getting from what you mentioned about that external battery lasting almost all of hunting season so whats the solar panel for
The solar panel has its own internal battery, that’s what the solar panel keeps charged. However, the battery does not have a huge capacity, so depending on sunlight, camera settings, and how many pics the camera takes, the solar panel may not be able to keep the battery charged. The external battery has a much larger storage capacity, so will last longer.
Me and Wendy have 3 of the regular Spypoint link micro and have not had any issues with those cameras. We may upgrade to the solar link micro. Thanks for the great content
My recommendation is to get the HME external battery and hook it to your Link Micros. Huge battery capacity! The Link Micro-S is a good camera, but the solar panel battery is not that big. amzn.to/4dWhiI3
I read that hme solar battery box cable doesn't fit in the plug on the flex s camera.. Im ready to buy one but just wanna make sure before I pull the trigger...
@@bombidude that may not run the camera. Or it could. I’m not sure, and my camera is out in the woods. Maybe contact Spypoint and verify before you spend money on an external
So do you put lithium battery in spy point camera and use battery box too or do you just use battery box and no lithium battery inside spy point camera?
The solar definitely extends the cameras time in the woods, but personally, I prefer an external battery pack. This is the one I use on all of my cameras; www.amazon.com/dp/B06X3X939W/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_AFZ743YYMJCKWTGE7020?linkCode=ml2&tag=hornnfinoutdo-20

Do NOT purchase this camera! It is build as an inadequate product that requires additional purchases in order to function. The number of photos you are sent is limited unless you purchase additional space and become an exclusive member.
Well, of course it requires additional purchase. Just like every other cell camera. They also explain the photo transmission plans right on their website. It’s not like they are hiding that info from you
@@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors it is really dumb to pay for an unlimited plan and then ask for an additional 100.00 a year for a stupid membership to unlock features that should be included with the camera. like favoriting an image for example. For how much these cost I was not impressed with all the fees to run basic funcitons. Not to mention it only takes three picture bursts and misses shots. with unlimited plan im still required to pay additional money for HD videos lmfao

Does the solar panel charge the external battery as well? Thanks mate 👍😊 would appreciate your feedback.👍
No, the solar panel only charges its internal battery
Thank you for thr the video. Would you happen to know the expected battery life of the g36 on regular AA batteries?

Thanks for the video. I hope that you have discussed the flash on them. No flash, black flash, red flash ext.
Sorry, something I didn’t touch on. You can find info about their flash on SPYPOINTs website. Thanks for watching!

I know the connector size fits spypoint, however, I’m not sure the Flex S has an external DC jack.
@@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors It has to have a jack.. you have to charge the internal battery.. plug it in to this jack.

Do any of these work on 4g LTE?
Yes they do. They automatically pick up the strongest signal
