This bag is awesome I just bought one! Can't wait to use it on our next adventure!Good review of the bag as well!
💯🎄🎄You should mention that these 3.0 tactacam trail cams DO NOT Work without cell service. This is confirmed by Tactacam Customer Service. So if you put in a wilderness area - it won’t function 🆘😑🦌🦌🌲🦌🦌🌲
You are partially correct. If there is no signal, of course it will not transmit pictures. No cellular camera can transmit pictures without a cell signal. The camera will still function and take pictures, however, it is always searching for a cell signal, so the battery will run down faster. But like I tell everyone who has an issue like you do with no cell signal available, I would rather buy a cheaper regular trail camera rather than spend the money on a cellular camera that you were going to put somewhere with no cellular service.
Do you have a preferable way to hang the cameras for public land hunters who can't legally screw things into the tree?
I use these on state land. They work great. amzn.to/4g0WShl
1:00 bs you have to give discount codes you have to be sponsored
Uh….. go back and watch the video again. This time, listen to the words I say
@ OK my bad you didn’t say a code but how does me clicking the link help you out if they don’t sponsor you think about that for a minute
@ I find your attitude entertaining. Let me educate you. 1: I am NOT sponsored by anyone. 2: I don’t have any discount codes. 3: the way the link helps me is through the Amazon Affiliate program. If you click the link, it brings you to Amazon. If you buy whatever the link was for, I get a 4% commission from Amazon. Doesn’t cost you any more money than normal, it’s convenient and easy for you because it brings you right to the Amazon page, the manufacturer gets the sale, Amazon makes a cut, and I get a commission. Everybody wins. Now, do you still want to doubt anything else in my video?
But where did you go?? you were SO confident in your other comments. you didnt waste any time displaying your unknown ignorance, and now.... silence? but why? is it that you realized how stupid you were? How about "Oh man, Im so sorry, I was completely wrong about you and shouldn't have tried to start shit, especially since I know nothing about what you do."

I'm a newbie to cell cams. What would you recommend, the Edge 2 pro or the Reveal pro as far a quality and reliability?
That’s tough, both cameras are great! Since you are new to cell cams, I would honestly suggest the Reveal X 3.0. (Unless you REALLY want the “no glow” flash). The reveal x 3.0 is very easy to set up and use. However, if the only two choices I have are the two cameras you mentioned, I would suggest the Edge 2 pro. Slightly easier to set up and use than the Tactacam.
@@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors thank you for your input. I only chose those two based on your channel and your thorough instructions on each camera. Are there any other choices you would recommend over these two?
@@paulvogelman8423 thanks for watching the videos! since i started using cell cams, i started with spypoint, and learned quickly that i did not care for them (but the price was right). then i started using tactacam and loved them, and now ive also ventured into moultrie. those are the onlyl 3 brands i have cell cam experience with. i like both tactacam and moultrie
Love my lithium battery pack and my solar panel
glad to hear that! enjoy it!
This was really well done. Thank you.
Well thanks for watching!! -Tight Lines ‘n Short Blood Trails
How long does it take to fully charge this new battery pack?
honestly, im not totally positive, but i think its at least a couple hours
@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors Are you sure because I just bought the same battery pack you have and it's been 3 hours and it's still charging. Was on one battery light indicator when I put it on the charger and 3 hours later it's only blinking on the 2nd light indicator.
@ just let it go until it’s full. The charge time can depend on what USB port you have it connected to
Buck makes a fantastic knife. The 110 is a classic and very well made. Theres a good reason why it remains popular after several decades.
Yes sir! It truly is an iconic knife
what are your thoughts on the long term durability of the screen on the pro? it seems like the standard version would be longer lasting.
I’ve had my oldest one for 4 years and it’s held up. It’s protected by the cover. I have not had any problems with them, and I have 9
Hi! Just the thing I'm looking for a latest update review! Hahaha! How is the Rush 12 for daily carry in the comfort department.. the pack looks Solid and yet durable! All I know is that soldiers use this. I only worry that the back panel isn't that comfortable on long trips... I have a Helikontex Ratel MK2 25L now... It's ok but it gets very well saggy n not as comfortable... Only Direct Action's Dragon Egg has better padding... I'm from Singapore so yea... Wondering if I should get one
I love the Rush12. Actually, I love ALL bags from 5.11, I JUST got a rush24 and will be reviewing soon. The rush 12 is comfortable and makes a great day bag. I think you will be happy with it
I got one today
You made a great choice! Enjoy it.
Does it work with the bear box cover ?
I have no idea. I’ve never used the security box on the camera.
Awesome video I have a hard case for my crossbow and I don’t have a soft case for mine I may look into it thanks
Thank you. The soft case is great for traveling to and from your hunting area. I use it to store my xbow at home too.
You mentioned the last step was to shoot at 40 and adjust the speed accordingly. When you shot an inch high at 40 what did you adjust it to 460?
I actually did not adjust it again. However, if you wanted to adjust it, you would adjust the speed down

how long does it take to recharge that lithium replacement battery?
All depends how much charge is left, but from complete dead to full charge should only be about 3-5 hours. Honestly, I’ve never kept track.
A great comprehensive guide for the Tactacam Reveal X 3.0! Very helpful, great job.
Thank you so much!
I would like to see that step by step "on demand". I bought that extra and can't get it to work.
You have to set your “settings check” to “instant”. Then just “request on demand photo” by touching icon.
Great Video! All the Best in 2025
Thank you sir! Tight Lines ‘n Shirt Blood Trails to you!
Came upon this video. Apologies if I missed something but don't think it was covered. I plan to use this without cellular. Google stuff shows Tactacam responses saying to remove the SIM card if not planning to use cellular as this will extend battery life as it's not looking for the cellular. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do that. Is that actually possible with this version of the camera? I know they said it came pre-installed but is it inaccessible? Thank you.
You can not with this camera. The camera has an internal SIM. I think all you do is just not activate the camera through Tactacam. I’m not totally positive though because I don’t use any of my cameras as a “non” cellular camera.
@@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors 10-4. Appreciate the response on it. I've got a bunch of Browning cameras and this is my first adventure into Tactacam. Appreciate the response and info. Subscribed too. Thanks.
@@virginiatrailcameravideos welcome aboard! thanks for joining. Tactacam makes great products. once you get used to them, you will love them
@@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors Back with an update. I decided to write Tactacam about this particular camera I just bought. Not real excited about their response about the battery drain. I didn't see this in the marketing but maybe I missed something. In fact, I thought their advertising was that all of their cameras could work with cell or not. Here's their response. "Our older camera versions such as 2.0, Pro, and XB are well-suited for traditional trail camera use. Our 3.0 versions are not designed to work as a traditional trail camera. They do not have a removable SIM card, so the camera will always be searching for a signal if it is not on a plan. This will cause a faster than normal drain of the battery."
@@virginiatrailcameravideos in all fairness, you are technically trying to use the camera in a way it was NOT designed for. its a cellular camera, and you dont want a cellular camera. maybe your best option at this point is to research non cell cams and find one that you like? also, if you go into any facebook trail camera buy, sell, trade pages, you will be able to sell your tactacam easily
Heck Yeah!!
i agree!
Good thing about cell cams is people can steal them but can't use them. Can't activate someone else's cam and they have pass codes. Still won't stop jerks though unfortunately.
Yes, it is unfortunate. Hear about it all the time, and I’ve had a couple of mine stolen.
Thank you so much for taking your time and making a great video for not so tech savvy guys like me !!!! Very very helpful.
Oh man, that comment makes me SO happy! I’m glad you found the video helpful. Thanks for watching, and Tight Lines ‘n Short Blood Trails!
I bought mine couple of days ago, didn't know that blade is slightly tilted upwards (thought it was bent) but what was really unpleasant was the edge they put on the blade, it was sharp but really really crude, like it was done with an angle grinder. Hope my 110 comes with the better finish 😃🎉
I’m really surprised! Maybe you should call Buck and see if it was a quality problem. I bought 3 of them (2 were gifts), and all 3 were perfect
@@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors no, I didn't order it from Buck but from a European store, I live in Germany.
@@PetarSimovic-vr3nn oh ok, that's too bad. hopefully you can fix the blade up with a good sharpener.
Great dear congratulations😊
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
Will the camera work without the onboard solar battery charged with a external battery box ? This solar charger with the battery seems like a higher maintenance for remote mountain placement. wouldn't a camera with a independent battery and solar panel be better as the aftermarket solar chargers don't use a battery ? Also what's the max storage micro sd card on this one ? Thanks from the Adirondacks
Yes, you can plug an external box into it. I definitely prefer external boxes to onboard solar. And in PRETTY sure max is 32g SD card. That’s all I ever use and it never fills up. Good luck up there!
I watched the whole video very interesting thank you
Thanks for watching it! I hope you found some helpful information in there.
@ I did very helpful I’m going to order some stuff off Amazon on your links thanks
@@clayhaddon3968 man, you dont now how much i appreciate that! thanks again for watching. - Tight Lines 'n Short Blood Trails to you!
Great hunt and nice video Bill! I loved the way you made your first doe kill, a perfect shot! And your late-season hunt was a very long shot even for a RAVIN! I finally took my TACTACAM FTS out of the box, and used it once this year on my shotgun, but didn't use it for the hunt. Self-filming and getting the shot before a deer exits stage left, is always a challenge! Congratulations and Happy New Year!
Thanks Ron! Merry Christmas to you! The Tactacam FTS takes a little trial and error to set up properly to get good footage. I actually need to adjust mine a little bit.
$25 is a lot to pay for 8 double A batteries . Never heard how long these will last in the field under normal weather and usage conditions
The lithium packs will last longer than the AAs, but not as long as an external battery. (Of course, that all depends on your settings too). The REAL benefit is that they are rechargeable and easy to replace.
@@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors I have a bunch of 3S lipo's sitting around from my other hobbies (Drones, RC planes) . I use them on my 12V trail cams . Usually inside a plastic potato chip container and attach to a board with the camera and then the whole assembly to a tree. Works good for us. Just change out the battery when you change out the card. Also have used 48V ebike battery packs with a step down (to 12V) , inside a waterproof container . Lay it on the ground with a long cable to the camera, or use a hook to hang it in the tree behind the camera. I would buy one of these packs , but $50 is a lot for just 1 pack. I see other brands for half that on ebay, but they are probably not as good.
@ I get it, if you can power your cameras with battery cells you have laying around, that’s a good deal!

Mr. Garry here Bud. Found you when I was looking for unboxing videos for the SpyPoint Flex G36.
Hello sir! Welcome back.
Just got a 2 pack for Christmas hope I can find this again next year when I set them up, one concern is mounting them so low don't you have any trouble with bears
i feel your pain, bears have given me plenty of headaches with my cameras. fortunately, they have only destroyed ONE camera so far, they usually just knock them down or spin them around. good luck!
Awesome video. I wish I had seen this before I bought mine last week does this camera have GPS incase it's stolen
No it does not. I believe the Edge 2 PRO model does though
how heavy is this i need a bag like this for all my gear and another for inshore fishing to walk around with but i think that it might be heavy with all my loot lol what do you think i definitely need something smaller to walk with right? also two bins fitting in a small portable bag is too little as well right?
If you plan to fish out of this bag and keep moving, yeah, it’s probably too heavy. At least, I know I would not want to carry it around all day. I use it to carry all my tackle from the car to the boat, then I fish out of the bag while on the boat. If you want to have a more mobile tackle bag, I would get something smaller. For what I use it for, this bag has been a game changer
@ yeah i like it because it’s easy to take out and i have a lot of tackle and it would be nice to have one bag with nice bins easy to get to bc i got on offshore angler bag with some waterproof bass pro boxes but to get them in and out of the bag it has to fit perfectly and tilted so im getting tilted too thanks for the reply though happy holidays and happy new years
@@ragestarter thanks! i hope you find what you are looking for. Merry Christmas and Tight lines 'n short blood trails to you!
So if I wanted to upgrade the boxes I would need to get a 3600 size box? Wanting to replace them with either the Plano or buzbe boxes
you will want to go bigger. the boxes it comes with are 14" x 9".
Thank you for the info. Can some please tell me what the 3 pronged tab under the wing nut is used for? Thanks in advance.
That’s to hold the cable in place if you need it.
I’ve just purchased this solar panel it says it needs to be charged for 4 to 5 hours before installing on the the camera which is a Reveal Pro 3. However it is not charging at all. I have had it plugged in all night to a USB wall plug charger. There is not a charger included only a cable. What is going on?
Make sure that the wall charger you are using is compatible. i think they say it has to be at least a 5w charger. try plugging into a computer or a different wall charger and see if you can get it to charge.

Can you tell me what the brass screw port is beside the usb port on the Moultrie edge battery What size screw for in it ?
I think it’s to secure some sort of cable holder. I’ve never used it. Should be a 4-40 screw
Yeah, I can’t even get the manufacturer to tell me what it’s for. the batteries are really difficult to remove from the camera at times there’s nothing to hold onto or grasp, even when pressing the button and I thought about putting a screw in that hole to be able to pull the battery out with it. I tried a number four screw, but it was too big
