The cappuccino was born alongside the original hype of espresso and evolved into the drink we know today during the World Wars.
It ultimately arrived in Europe and the Americas around 1980. Now, they are very structure-oriented drinks, usually served in squat, 6 oz glass or ceramic cups.
That structure is truly their defining feature. Split evenly in thirds, you can almost feel the quality of a cappuccino by its weight. Ideally, it should be 1/3 espresso, under 1/3 steamed milk and 1/3 airy foamed milk. For this reason, cappuccinos are often considered the true test of a barista’s skills.

I love the part where he taught us how to make it
Parapampampam. I’m loving it
😂😂
This was less a "how to" and more of a "watch me make it".
Agreed, he's a showoff
seems like you didn’t want HIM in the video.. 🤷🏽♀️
Agreed. That was pretty useless.
I found this one much better:
ruclips.net/video/gvPetTPFsZM/видео.html
@@annm.1561 I definitely didn't
That's reality he is showing off
Perhaps some camera shots of what’s being made IN the cup instead of the side of the cup and your back?
We don’t know how much milk to start with which is what I needed to know.
Thank you!! I really appreciate your knowledge and sharing it!! I've been trying so hard to learn how to use my barista! You explained so well how to make a cappuccino!
Is batrista worth the money?
@M Amini if you're a true cappuccino fan and willing to learn, it's worth it. Plus, if you are the kind of person who has to hit up the coffee shop every day, it will save you tons of money in the end. I'll be honest, tho it's a lot of trial and error, so it's something that you have to weigh the pros and cons.
Came nicely packaged! Amazing Product!! Would buy again. Love it.
I'm trying to learn how to do the frothy milk for work. I've had multiple people show me, they each have their own way but can't explain to me what they are doing. They play with the knob, hold the milk jug at different angles, do the tap tap thing on the counter, and when I try to emulate it, I have no clue what I'm doing, and they say I'm doing it wrong, and can't seem to tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Yep that's the problem with all these videos including this one.
None can explain the milk 🥛 frothing and that's the biggest thing with all expresso drinks. 😶
I don want anyone with a snot ring doing my coffee
I just started drinking cappuccino
And bought a moka pot
Can you recommend an entry level machine, not sure what to look for
And how in earth does one choose a bean, I've been buying and grinding from bulk barn😂
I will be right over for a cup. 😋
So, that about 1:2.5 ratio of coffee grinds to liquid, correct?
I'm confused. Whats makes it a cappuccino? Is it the milk steam? Is it separate beans than what you would use for coffee. Does the milk make it naturally sweet or do you need to add sweetener? So many questions
It's literally just the steamed milk that makes it a cappuccino. Anything else you can think of is optional just like with a normal espresso.
I steam my milk and considering how cheap my machine is it taste really good but doesn't taste like any cappuccino I have ever drank. I'm not a fancy coffee drinker so most of my drinks have came from gas station machines. Do you have any pointers? Is it just what my taste buds have been use to? It really does just taste like a good cup of coffee to me.
@@TheMikehelton82278 not gonna lie, I never done it myself, but quality of the coffee machine and the technique while steaming the milk and mixing it back in the coffe I think is very important.
Fr wtf is steaming milk do they mean make it hot😭😭😭😭💀 boil the milk basicslly?
@@TheMikehelton82278 The "cappucino" you get from gas stations are powdered drinks. Literally the same as hot chocolate, except flavored differently.
When you make your own cappucino at home with steamed milk, yes, it tastes worlds different than what you get at a gas station. It is what cappucino is supposed to taste like; smooth, clean, sweet (from the milk) followed by a strong coffee taste. Like you said, it just taste like a good cup of coffee (with a nicer texture). Sounds like you are already doing it right; it isn't rocket science lol. Just brew the espresso, froth the milk and pour the milk on the espresso. You can flavor your cappucinos with various syrups (caramel, vanilla, etc). Pour a little in your milk before frothing.
I dont even know how gas stations get away with calling it cappucino.
At home you don't usually have such an expensive equipment :D
"How the back of the cup looks like while someone prepares cappucino"
This isn't helpful at all
so true
I love coffee 😩
This is a latte.. not cappuccino
Why don't you show the actual surface of the liquid when you're doing what you're doing so we can see what's happening instead of just how cool you look? :)
Most of the video you're either showing us your back or wide frames with you pouring some liquids in various recipients.
Would help to actually show closeups of what is happening inside the recipients so we learn what to expect.
If your wish was to make it a "how to" video.
Great description and general setup, though!
How is this different from Latte ?
How many ounces of milk? For gods sake
I'd say this is more of a latte. There is not much foam in the milk.
The key difference between a latte and a cappuccino is ratio. Latte has more milk/coffee. I'm relying on the cappuccinos I got in Rome. I saw one video here where the instruction was 1/3 coffee, 1/3 milk, 1/3 foam. I never found that in Europe.
No one has one coffee machine like that at home
At home? Do i need that HUGE machine? LOL!
👌🏼 Thank you! 👌🏼
Cool, thanks a lot
Looks good for what it is. What is it BTW? Looks like a latte. Claims its a cappuccino. Didn't catch the process.
“How to make a cappuccino at home”. Because everyone has an industrial sized espresso machine in their kitchen.
is steamed milk and frothed milk same?
Sometimes depends how you look at it
I tried this for the first time. I think I kept the steam wand in too long because my drink tastes watered down. Maybe I'll try with flavored creamer and it'll be better. 😊
watched the how to make a mocha video from this dude. literally the same exact thing?
Sorry but that milk texture is like a latte. You made it wrong
Where is your milk foam for your cappuccino..?
i wrote down the amount of grams of coffee but then you said something about 40 g water? not sure and then you didn't tell us how much milk.
There is good input for future videos. Pleasant chap though. Look forward to watching more.of these videos.
This is a latte?
Yeah he made latter, not capucinno
So what's the difference between a latte and a cappuccino
“At home” but do people really have these machines at home? 🤦♀️
Rich people use RUclips aswell 🤷🏽♀️ LOL
@@XteenGorgeous it's honestly not that expensive where I'm at
I have a bee like barista express. I really recommend it’s usually 700 but I got it for 450 on Amazon wearhouse
Why yes. Yes we do 🧐
Yes
In my opinion, your cappuccino tells no difference between a coffe latte.
because this is a coffee latte :)
I don't know why he said cappuccino
It’s basically the same, the only difference is the foam
Huh? The camera angles did not capture the how to make it. 😑
I can see any barista from the same angle that you were filming...what's the point of the video if I don't see how you pour the milk?
The music is unnecessary, you can not hear the milk steaming in the video.
Someone to help me: is he using cold milk or worm milk?
Cold milk
worm milk.
@@craffte 😂😂
Zero instruction, just watching him make it!
Background music way too loud.
Where's the foam?
but there was a cutesy milk design
The music killed the video
That’s a latte. A cappuccino has a thick layer of foam on top.
Nice but you didnt teach how to make it, you just made it, hahahahaha thumbs down
Ha ha that's right, another thumb down from Me
How is this a cappuccino and not a latte?
I genuinely came down to the comments to find that myself. There's no way that's enough foam imo
👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
I think that's Latte
Fk he didn’t show how he did that beautiful cappuccino
Cool video. As tutorial however it leaves much to be desired.
?
Cappuchino>>>>>>latte end of story
Bad camera angles, little to know worthwhile explanations. This is just a bad video.
It was not "at home" !!!
You have a machine at home! this is not at home recipe I need, I lost my time
Irritating music
Thanks for showing me nothing
Not helpful!!!
You talk too much
