Another play gone bad. Before they were Funt and Mundane they were Leslie and Linda Amherst. Here is one of their early sketches.
A drunken Carol falls so many times and she trusted them to catch her each time! 😅😅😅
53 years old and it's still hilarious! Timeless.
Great talent
so true
so true
You're absolutely right....
The whole cast was just so good together 👍👍thank you Carol🏆Harvey 🏆Tim🏆 Lyle🏆 Vicky🏆
Vicki.
so true
great show
This generation can't even comprehend the incredible talent and chemistry these entertainers had together. It was a privilege to watch, dying laughing every time
The best thing about the Carol Burnett Comedy is that the first time you see it it is so hilarious, and the next time you see the same episode it becomes more hilarious...never seems to get boring...One of the greatest Comedy ever.
I wish I could go back in time, anything is better than now, to see true talent and live in a more moral and motivated society. I wish I had a time machine.
try going to the a live play..they are pretty damn great...
Hmmm...a more moral society for some, more motivated....go check your history.
Yes, I see this "I wish I could live in the more moral time" comments regularly. I don't mean to be a spoilsport, but the Vietnam war was going on during this taping, people were openly bigoted towards Asian, Blacks, gays, etc, President Nixon was corrupting the government, and more. Bottom line is, people in 1970 thought the world sucked and longed for a more moral time, just like people today do.
me too
He was so good. He could pretend to be anyone. He'd always have those little mannerisms that certain characters always portray.
Incredible talent! Love her costume too. The great Bob Mackie.
Mackie is a GENIUS!
he was a great talent
Thank you to whoever is putting these on . With this virus and all we need to laugh.
You said it! We all need to just sit down and watch this hilarity.
Oh my gosh, this is sooooo *HILARIOUS!* 🤣 .....Carol, Harvey and all the cast on her show, were brilliant! 🥰
I never realized it when I was young, but Carol was a beauty!
I realized it WHEN I was young...
Carol looks better with longer hair. She looks great here. Beautiful gown, too.
I loved her hair like that. Yes that dress is gorgeous. Allot of these dresses are timeless.
Bob Mackie was a brilliant designer no doubt about it!!!! :-)
How can't you not like this....?
I love her look in that gown and longer hair beautiful I love Carol burnett show!!💕😋
Short hair rarely makes a woman better looking.
It should be great to see all the costumes in a museum
I absolutely love Harvey Korman!
Harvey Korman...brilliant. RIP.
Harvey king of parody. He was so funny!
Carol Burnett you look awesome what a beautiful gown even though you’re playing the part look great in the wig and dress💕
I love the Carol Burnett show! I still watch the reruns!
Admit it. We all tried that cheek-pop thing after Carol did it.
TY for posting. I watch these at least 3 times over.
I love the frustrated look he has, as he tries to keep the act going for the crowd. "Curtains you fools'
Harvey will always be the one. Don’t think I’ve ever seen such a talented actor. So underrated.
Carol Burnett had the BEST faces! This show is such a joy to watch!
4:07...priceless Carol !!!!!!
Our priceless Princess 🙂🙂!
Of comedy, of course 😉😉!
Great starting my day with a laugh. Thank you Carol and Harvey
Great comedians
Thank You for Sharing 😊
Love this show
I laughed at this 50 years ago, I'm laughing at this today.
Too bad they didn't use autotune.
LOL.
"Hey, Handsome! Your turn!!!" (We miss you, Lyle. RIP)
I would LOVE to have her dress!
Omg that dress is fabulous
"You broke my pillow!"
Couldn't get past the first minute!!! Those forward and backward collapses were too much to stomach! I'll need another half an hour to get back to normal. Ahhh, genius, if ever there was!
The dress!!!
Lol @ Harvey Korman’s hair piece.
You could always tell because of the giant gray sideburns.
Carol is a trip so funny she plays a funny drunk love how she sat like a guy she's halarious love Carol love the gown
I need that dress in my life.
Thanks for the upload. I'm from Germany and the Carol Burnett Show unfortunately was never aired there. But some german producers have stolen some sketches and the same sketeches were aired in Germany with german actors. And at that time 70th/80th nobody imagined that this sketches were stolen from this US. show. Interesting facts.
Wow interesting that it wasn't ever aired where you live
@@elizabethturner1246 Why ? Do you think that the show was aired all over the world ? We had our own cult shows in Germany at that time.
I saw some of it on the channel for American soldiers. AFN was nearby and my mom had it installed so that I could listen to more American language. There was no internet then.
@@claranimmer7349 : Okay. Interesting.
At this point, they weren't Funt and Mundane, they were Leslie and Linda Amherst.
I updated. They were always F&M to me. I have quite a few of these Amherst sketches but I keep getting strikes. Hopefully I can sneak another one in. So hard to do.
@@carolburnettcomedyqueen521 Ple4ase do! I'm always interested in watching the early stuff.
@@carolburnettcomedyqueen521 I have been looking for the sketch when Carol Burnett sings 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy' as ALL 3 singers of The Andrew Sisters..Patty, Maxine & Laverne. Have been searching to find it for a looooong time!! I have all the TimeLife Collection & Lost Episodes dvds but unfortunately this song sketch was not included!
How can I find it & obtain/purchase it???
@@carolburnettcomedyqueen521 - Which reminds me, at what point did they actually become Funt & Mundane?
@@masters1313 The Andrews Sisters skit is on the Time Life Harvey Korman DVD set if I'm correct. Check it out on Amazon.com

Dang, Lyle was a hunk & a half!😘
He still looks good!
Kathy Florcruz He also was a sculptor.
...Unbelievable talent..does anyone know
If she graduated from "Fine Arts"...?
Though "Funny" it is also sad as it is some peoples reality.😔
She is too funny😂😂😂
7:57
"I'm in love with Myra. What do you say to that?"
*hiccups*
What she meant to say is that she couldn't care less.
R.I.P lyle Wagner
Something tells me that banging Carol's head in the door at 1:40 wasn't in the script.
"Call Greg you silly...."
God, that was funny!
i just wish i could find a clip of the Drunken Sound Effects Man sketch.
I love that one!
She was nipping..now she's napping brilliant!😋
Adore
and
Love
her
xoxox
I wish I had a comedian duplicator
"I'll do my best, Mr. Amherst. " Thump.
2:19 what is that thing he is using? U mean, they didnt have a cellphone?? 😱😱😱
yes child cellphones are a thing from today
😂🤣😂🤣🥳
Parody of Lunt and Fontaine?
Wagner looks like a dashing Mitt Romney
Ha it's funny but it's not so much about the talent but it's about the greatest generation.
☺️
🤣💕
🤣🤣🤣🤣💕💕💕
Lmao😂😂😂
I know Harvey Korman and Carol. But, who is the other actor?
The other actor is Lyle Waggoner.
Classic! Classic! Classic! There will never be another like the Carol Burnett show.
Carol is acting like a child funny
BOYZ Now DOES THIS LOOK FAMILIAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good thing she only weighs 90#! Lol
didnt like this one much. She over acted and tried way too hard to be funny. She didnt do this much though. She was great. The rest of the cast was even better. Harvey and tim carried the show. Harvey deserves way more respect for what hes done.
My dad was an alcoholic and he hid bottles and he hid bottles all over the house.Good riddance to him. This brings back bad memories. This is not funny.
So sad. I'm sorry.
I find it very funny, man up and shut up.
