I’m getting out of an entire miniature scale (28/32mm). I’ve realised that I don’t really like skirmish style games. I prefer big battles, with smaller scale miniatures (10mm and below). For this reason, I’ve sold my bolt action and legions armies. I’m getting rid of all my AoS and 40k next! Going forwards, I’m focussing on Warmaster, Legions Imperialis and 6mm historicals.

Which historical are you trying out in that scale? After painting 3k points of imperialis I enjoy the bigger models to paint for sure. Still gotta try flames of war myself for that more full scale historical.

@@terrainkickerspodcast I like ‘Fire and Fury’ brigade version for the ACW, but I think I’m going to do my own simplified version. For the AWI I’m going to try out the ‘Little Wars TV’ set of rules - ‘Live Free or Die’. For ancients/dark ages I’ll try out ‘Age of Hannibal’ and ‘Ravenfeast’. For WW2 I’ll continue to use the rules I wrote and published myself on Wargames Vault - ‘All Hell Let Loose.’

For me, there are a lot of factors but definitely one of them is when I feel like I need to buy something to participate instead of wanting to buy something to participate. The loss of the enthusiasm is key.

Very good point. Large changes to army building/ meta crunch had really made it hard for me to stay invested in 40k. I don't mind updating lists but I don't like feeling invalidated.

I've been playing the same miniatures war game for 40+ years - and it keeps getting better every time I play it!
if you think it's 40k, that game has only existed for 37 years.
battletech has been true to it's players with the same rules through 5 editions, 3 different IP holders and only a couple of minor rules adjustments.
the battletech lore has been growing and expanding on a timeline that is more than 1400 years of pure human drama.

Warmachine screwed me. I had a complete Protectorate of Menoth army. Now they are gone. Guess I can use those models on OPR now. Makes me very cautious to support Warmachine now they are rebooting.

Are they supposed to update them at some point or just out of luck on that? I only follow as much warmachine as my group conversations show.

You can still use the older stuff. They've converted a sizeable amount of the old warjacka and units to be competitive in the new edition

@@SpymasterGaming but they killed the faction. It is in “Legacy” now. Not main gameplay.

@@tx_marauder I thought there was prime legacy factions too? So competitively balanced, just not getting any new releases

Well if you are taking requests, I would love some more 30k content. Always loved those episodes.
Great episode by the way, been in that situation before, still miss WAB.

Hopefully getting more 30k soon. I like having the other guys when doing that, especially since they played a lot longer than I have. Maybe once things calm for them both.
