Once the promo Buggy eventually releases in the west, Buggy is going to be so good. IMO I'd say Buggy is a Tier 2 deck since he has solid answers of 2 of the best decks (Doffy and Blackbeard).
Hopefully the upcoming op set can have some new cards that would effect the top tier meta like doffy, since doffy have been sitting at the throne for quite awhile. If not every nats all people can see its mostly doffy's mirror match or i might be wrong 😅
Since I am in China, I like to bring up a very interesting phenomenon. For unknown reasons, China has very few Teach players (like very low). But the result of this odd meta is a lot of Lucci players winning at the top. I still don't have a clear read on this, whether Teach has a direct effect on the Lucci performance, or........All the Teach players just switched to Lucci 🤭

Personally I have been murking blackbeard one after the other but I keep losing to purple Luffy because every damn dice roll I lose, they open law, ramp to zoro then ramp to Luffy and sanji 2 turns in a row . Im hoping I get one game they don't high roll for once
@atrocioustcg why you think so? In my opinion you can build very aggressive and fast...dofi and shanks are not a big deal and hes a good counterleader to blackbeard
Arguably smoker is better than Lucci right now just because of blackbeards presence. Definitely not better than Bonney but better than lucci😭 (imo) but I also think when promo buggy comes out he kind goes to middle of tier 3 just because we don’t see enough of him

Plus black navy just cool, can’t wait for that sengoku in eb02!
Smoker is and always will be a worse lucci wanna be. The gecko play is very underwhelming for smoker and if you can’t maximize gecko as a black deck you’re just a bad black deck

@@RmanTCGyour missing a whole lot bro, lucci is the superior mono black (teach is a exception) due to its insane gecko play, getting up to 21 Don value, and at least once per match, it’s simply not arguable, lucci is the most consistent black deck, since you get access to half of your deck by milling them, while smoker you build trash slow, you might not see all the pieces and you have much weaker gecko play. Not to mention that marine build just feels worse than CP most times, Tashigi and sengoku hard carries. And just can’t see why you lose w lucci since it has a good match up against most t2 - t3 and w certain techs can run through doffy and Blackbeard
BB is nowhere close to S there aren't even NA results to even prove it belongs there. Sure it does *well* to okay vs most of the tier 2 decks but it loses to both decks in tier 1 with it and loses to most decks in tier 3. That's not good consistency.
damn, blue really is the worst color right now. The two best decks, Doffy and Nami work nothing like the rest of the archetype, one is a constant spam of characters and the other is a deck out, the only deck that plays as what the archetype of blue is supposed to do is Boa, the rest of blue decks are dead, I guess bouncing stuff is underwhelming compared to removing by KO

I think it’s a mix of things! Both are strong decks, but IMO Lucci is easier to pilot
