About 2 weeks ago, I was approached by a local person in my area on eBay, asking if I was interested in purchasing their Jim Shore Collection, noting that I had quite a few listed in my store. I called eBay to address how I should handle this, since she was not trying to purchase an item - but rather sell me their items. They told me that as long as the buyer purchased an item, I was then allowed to provide my contact information. She purchased a random item in my store. I then provided my contact information. (after calling eBay again just to double check!) No issues. I'm not sure if anyone else has had that happen to them...just an FYI. In the end, EBay will benefit since I will list them on their platform! 😊 Great Videos Kevin! I don't miss an episode!

The reason the Vero list is growing is because so many people are trying to resell and so many business are moving there presence from brick and mortar to online so there restricting where there products can be sold especially new items most companies go after new items not used items that's why I mainly sell used most people that get banned from eBay and Amazon not to mention other sites is because there selling new items without the permission of the brand/company BTW if you think ebay is bad with Vero Amazon is 10x worse

To my surprise my mother saved mostly every mcdonald, burger king, wendys, etc toy in bags from when we were kids. She gave them all to me to sell on ebay. It amazes me what some do bring.
Yes it's a big niche been buying/reselling fast food premiums since I started selling online in 98' and yes most do not realize how collectible they actually are I use to sell them individually but now mainly sell them in sets if you can make sets especially older ones 80's and 90's they bring in big money most of the modern sets I normally get packed fast food toys for .25 or less and normally sell an 8 toy set for a minimum of $10 plus shipping I have no problem making $8 profit off a $2 investment ill do that all day every day

Vacuum tubes are really tough. The big money is in matched pairs and quads, and for that you need testing equipment. Of course, if you buy some good ones, you can wholesale them to the specialist sellers, who have the knowledge and the customer list.

I.. unknowleably posted an item ebay pulled. I recieved a message from someone I sent an offer too before it was pulled. Within a week a recieved a message on fb from this person who still wanted to buy. I did not exchange personal info purposely but I do sign my name out of habit on my messages. Just always seemed more personal. Anyway yes I sold it. But within ebay there was no deal making or phone numbers or emails exchanged just me confirming yes it apparently was against policy and they pulled it. So I think I was free to do it at that point. Maybe I'm wrong. But they (ebay) can't police everyone's life outside of the platform in every way. Technically crossposting is selling listed items outside of eBay too I guess. Anyway, great episode 👌 happy hunting and selling!

Bonanza doesn't delist from there site. It gets rejected from the Google Shopping search for strange reasons. Like "Identifier exists false misuse identifier exists and "Missing shipping " even though the shipping info is there. I try to tweak it and refresh feed. It still get rejected and then I give up. But the items are still on the website.
Nope, i won't circumvent even if it was allowed. I know seller protections aren't the greatest in the world, but there are still protections. Im not going to take the risk of selling something in the wild and get a chargeback. I mean they still can, but at least it is less common with the threat of being banned from ebay.

I will sell my entire card collection on whatnot (for the lowest price imaginable) to your card friend... I have about 5000 cards some graded and many many autographed.... I go live under the same name all the time
Although eBay prohibit sellers giving contact details to _potential_ buyers, for entirely understandable commercial reasons, UK (and EU) consumer law requires we business sellers here on eBay UK to display contact details, including a physical address, within one click of the listing. If anyone asks for contact details I always apologise and explain that eBay rules don't allow the exchange of details via the messaging system... but our full business details may be found at the foot of each listing. Although, in general, I'm not interested in complicating matters to save a few pennies by selling off-eBay, sometimes it makes sense. For example, a retail store in Germany contacted me wanting to negotiate a deal on around 200 new tour t shirts. Even at the agreed £5 unit price (I paid pennies in a massive 2-pallet mixed lot) that was a saving of around £150 and it was just a lot easier negotiating directly rather than trying to do it through offers and counter-offers as I also needed to agree a special price for shipping.

Sometimes I think it’s eBay trying to sting people, I think it’s easier just to sell on the platform because of the shipping sucking sometimes that outweighs the savings in the fees!

Hey, I have a question. I have the same rollo printer. Over this weekend ebay changed the format of their labels and now added in directions on the other half of the shipping label. With that added, I can no longer print labels without now cropping that part out to print them. Have you seen this happen?
I don’t sell but I do buy and I LOVE Mercari, my only issue is canceling of my order, I assume because of cross listing. I do look at seller cancellation rates and won’t buy from sellers with high cancellation rates

What do you want to know? You won't know where or what country the item is going to. The address you ship to is an eBay domestic ship center. They take over from there. If breakable I would be extra careful with packing since no way to know what that package might go through.
Nope your right to think that way I also have gotten those type of .messages over the last 25 yeaes of reselling online especially when there was no managed payments people wanted to just pay less directly from PayPal my answer was always nope not allowed to it's like the old analogy speeders will disobey the law till they get caught even they will still try to disobey the law I remember back in the day when you could link your website to yout about me page (for the old timers that remember that) its a scheme they did away with that but Iook back on it and say how much free advertising I got to my website

Kissyfur can be $20-50 sealed. I have a sealed circus one listed for $20.

Even at the agreed £5 unit price (I paid pennies in a massive 2-pallet mixed lot) that was a saving of around £150 and it was just a lot easier negotiating directly rather than trying to do it through offers and counter-offers as I also needed to agree a special price for shipping.

Sometimes I think it’s eBay trying to sting people, I think it’s easier just to sell on the platform because of the shipping sucking sometimes that outweighs the savings in the fees!

Hey, I have a question. I have the same rollo printer. Over this weekend ebay changed the format of their labels and now added in directions on the other half of the shipping label. With that added, I can no longer print labels without now cropping that part out to print them. Have you seen this happen?

I don’t sell but I do buy and I LOVE Mercari, my only issue is canceling of my order, I assume because of cross listing. I do look at seller cancellation rates and won’t buy from sellers with high cancellation rates

Ebay global shipping program tutorial can you explain this Kevin I have been asking other resellers to do that and no response. Do you do it.
What do you want to know? You won't know where or what country the item is going to. The address you ship to is an eBay domestic ship center. They take over from there. If breakable I would be extra careful with packing since no way to know what that package might go through.

Nope your right to think that way I also have gotten those type of .messages over the last 25 yeaes of reselling online especially when there was no managed payments people wanted to just pay less directly from PayPal my answer was always nope not allowed to it's like the old analogy speeders will disobey the law till they get caught even they will still try to disobey the law I remember back in the day when you could link your website to yout about me page (for the old timers that remember that) its a scheme they did away with that but Iook back on it and say how much free advertising I got to my website
