James Gurney?! Wow! Part of me is wondering how he could incorporate his style into this painting, the other is so looking forward to find out! I love what you've brought to this painting. I'm such a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland (the rabbit, suits, numbers and pocket watch - amazing!).
It's cool cuz he's been influential to all the artists that went before him. I wonder who HE is gonna pick.
Kiptoe set the tone for this one, interweaving his design with the original. Each new addition has been masterfully integrated to this collaboration. The attention to detail and incorporation of the white rabbit was wonderful to watch. I can’t wait to see where Gurney takes this collaboration. Absolutely amazing work being done.
Jesus Christ man. The value of that painting just skyrocketed. I've been a fan of yours for a while now. I've been a fan of tenhuns even longer. I love him for his graphic style. But he would agree, you are the artist artists aspire to be. To be able to do texture with such precision. Mixed with your story telling and pop culture references is magic. Your work is gorgeous. And the next artist is such a crazy pick. His name alludes me at the moment but I've only known him from his tiny paintings channel. Can't believe I didn't know he did those amazing books. When TenHun began this project, I was thinking that it would be epic if Greg got a piece of this collab, and here it is... It's unbelievable! This is now my favorite art collab to date. And it looks superb. 👌
Outstanding! I was nervous with how large and centered everyone else had gone, that there wasn’t room for much more than a background. I’m looking forward to how much Gurney paints over!
exactly, the last person used up way too much space. Basically made two pieces for the collab. Leaves a lot less space for the next people. I'm glad he went over some of it.
@@cmbcallum I think her hands anchor the piece beautifully though and her her work is gorgeous. If someone does a piece along the bottom there's a good chance some of her work will get covered and it will all balance out. There were 7 artists on the S1 canvas, and there's still plenty of room for 6 on this one. Ten Hun started off with a larger character than before, so I think it's totally reasonable if one fewer artist ends up in the piece.
@@JustinSlick the hands are good, no question about it. But that should have just been her piece. She then went in to add a rather large character right at the top too that has no relation to the hands. She made two pieces.

I love that the rabbit is coming out of the smoke, and that your style has a lot more realism to it than the other artists- it’s like the “fantasy” in this piece is realism, and I am here for it let me tell you

I'm so grateful I was introduced to your art because of this collaboration. I'll definitely be ordering some prints in the future your work is so mesmerizing. Choosing James Gurney as the next artist was so unexpected and amazing. I appreciate how you left plenty of space for others to be added though you could have easily added more of your beautiful work. James can fill up the rest with super cool dinos though right? ;
Simkins use of shading, detail and layering was a big reason I ever excelled in my art. Having him as a youtuber sharing his process has been a blessing for me as an improving artist. When I seen the collaberation of the other few artist I watch then hand the baton to this man I thought only "NEXT LEVEL". I love to see the styles blend and surely was blown away by the finished piece. Another Legend in Gurney was an amazing addition esp with his world building. Amazing work as always and thank you for always sharing your work!
I am beyond thrilled that you're part of this collaboration. I've been following you for years now and think it's insane more people don't know about you and follow on youtube. I get so excited to see your works and watch each step in how you create them.. you're probably my favorite living artist.. the way your lines flow.. the smoke, the clouds, the glossy objects, the harmonious colors and textures.. you're so very talented and it brings me so much joy!!!
Ah. It looks so amazing (love the octopus 🐙) My only issue is, the inner part of the clock would have looked dope transparent where you see the dragon 🐉 I think that looked so amazing at that part of the process. Would have kept it interesting. Either way love the painting!
I so agree when he covered the clock i was kinda disappointed..still love the end result though very dopee
I had the same thoughts. The clock starting to fade out would have been cool as an homage to the Cheshire Cat. But I absolutely cannot bring myself to critique his artistic ability or integrity. Might as well ask a poet to change a line. I am so enjoying the glimpses we are being given into the creative process.
Each artists’ style is so distinctive (including your own), yet, through story, you managed to connect your piece to the others’ work very cleverly. Unbelievable contribution to this amazing collab! Love it, and loved your choice of music…it felt very freaky Fantasia stuff to me! Your son’s appearance at the end was a treasure!

This might be a typical trait for an artist, but it amazes me how you guys dare to go over each other's work the way you do! Ten Hundred said it was allowed, but I think my own ego would stand in my way from doing so if I ever would collab with anyone. It's amazing how you guys add to each other the way you guys do! It's pretty hard to explain in words, but your addition is beautiful! I was in awe (and holding my breath a couple of times) just watching the whole painting proces

Did anyone else yell at their screen when Greg first started painting all over everybody else's stuff!?! Ohhhhh lord it was stressful, but turned out so awesome!!! Gotta trust the process! (Except when it involves fire!!!)
Completely agree. I thought it was very disrespectful, regardless of how it turned out. Just look at the efforts artists like Jazza & Martina (Nerdforge) went to in the first collab to protect the other artists work.
@@Chris_Seccull I would have been upset before, but right from the beginning Tenhun wanted everyone to paint over and around the works so they interacted properly. So in this case, I was perfectly fine with it.
Painting over isn't the issue, but I did feel it was just a bit too much. Especially those sweet dragonscales under the watch.. Luckily it's still an awesome piece though!
Not that his work isn't wonderful, it is.....but yeah I don't like how much of the other work got covered. A spot or two, ok, but it was too much for my personal liking 😕
The thing I love about these pieces is that every artist is genuinely trying to add to the piece and make it better instead of one up each other

Absolutely LOVE what you did with this piece!! Watching you build up those layers on the watch alone was just…fascinating. Mesmerizing!! Every new artist that touches this adds a whole new depth to the story of it and you friggin smashed this right out of the park.
