      I think you should get someone to make another popout character for the opposite side so the piece is more balanced out.

    • @sophiekatchick1415
      @sophiekatchick1415 Год назад +5

      I agree with Rcb... or get the artist to do an additional paw so that it looks like snow bears holding it up...
      It just looks abit side heavy with just one side with a character... like I said even a second paw would even it out somewhat xx

    • @shell2250
      @shell2250 Год назад +10

      I really don't think this needs another character or to be balanced out. I loved all of the individual characters, but it looked so very disjointed until the time concept that Marco Bucci came up with. I think his black and white time master and the direction that everyone is looking balances the large polar bear out. I would be afraid that anymore would just be more for the sake of more, and it would potentially look as disjointed as some of these were when first added. It finally looks like a complete and pretty cohesive piece. I was very worried about 50-75% of the way through, but I really like how it turned out.

    • @the_RCB_films
      @the_RCB_films Год назад +2

      @@shell2250 It's literally one character; I mean he had Bobby Duke Arts make a frame after last season's painting was "finished" so what's the big deal?
      Yeah it looks good, and is fine the way it is, but why are you against a final touch? Not to mention the other artwork in this season is going to take even longer to complete because of one of the artist adding more space to work with. I feel like you might be disagreeing with the idea, just to disagree with it.
      Anyways, ultimately it's up to TenHun to decide what happens to the piece.

    Wow - that was a beautiful video and art contribution, Jared! Really enjoyed the thought put into it. I think what impressed me most was the handling of the composition. Your part flows so well into Jess Karp's hands, and Greg Simkins' clouds/smoke. Really appealing light and shadow on the figure, too. Way to bring this project home!

      Thank you for watching, Winnie and I appreciate your words. It's like life- I think- everyone carries there history and emotional response to an image but in the end each step or percieved misstep was just that- a step in some direction just adding a little spin on the ball before landing. For better or worse- every step and misstep makes us who we are and that's beautiful. I think it's the same for the painting. I appreciate your time and comment, winnie. :)

    I think this sort of collab requires rules to make sure people get fair real estate, but also some rules and a general aim to unify the piece. Colour palettes? Theme? Not sure. While each contribution is great the completed piece to me feels like it needed more unity.

I love the work done by everyone so much and how it feels authentic to their story and style it trumps my desire for unity. It feels more like life to me- the choices and happenings along the way were just that but the end wouldn’t have been what it was without each spin on the ball.

    What a great art piece and I love that you used Renaissance and Botticelli as your inspiration. That is my favorite era and love using it to inspire my own work too. Those artists had amazing imaginations and I think even after several centuries, their pieces are still some of the greatest art pieces to have ever existed.

    I especially enjoy that you didn’t make the goddess static or regal - she’s fierce and elemental, crouching like something feral, or someone on a dangerous quest. It’s balanced out by the inherent softness of what looks like a very young face, and there’s such a lightness to the whole composition. Lovely, thoughtful work.

    Jared, I am so very glad to have watched the creation of this artistic collaboration from beginning to end. It certainly introduced me to some artists, yourself included, that I had no current awareness of. And for that, I am very grateful.
    I was, of course, holding my breath to find out who the final artist was going to be. When the baton was passed on to you, I must confess, I had never heard of you prior to this.
    Cudoes to both you and your wife for having a wonderful sense of humor when accepting the passing of the final torch. No doubt, the anxiety and pressure of being in the final position must have weighed heavily. Particularly when following some of the artists of greater renown.
    You obviously devoted a great deal of thought and energy as to how best you might make the final contribution and bring it around full circle. I love the fact that you did the good old fashioned research by visiting the library (still one of my favorite sanctuaries) and sketching in pen and pencil versus some fandangled app such as procreate.
    I admire your diligence and congratulate you on a very, very fine job!
    With very little space, your final addition becomes seamless integral part of the whole and brings it full circle.
    *I am still trying to integrate the bear.... visually, I am not quite sure if I am offended, or if it just doesn't belong, or if I just wanna to chuckle 🤭

      This process, albeit probably a little boring, is how I write and think up painting ideas in general. It's not the most dynamic approach but it is what propells me to get work done. :) Mind mapping helps a lot. I do that regularly- especially for draft outlines.
