I was chosen by Kat Leipens to be the next artist taking part in this side of RUclips's Biggest Art Collab, run by Ten Hundred, and I couldn't be more excited and nervous. I added a custom, hand-made art rug to the front of the now massive piece. I decided to send it off to Big Sams Paints

Thanks yeah, im just glad it was two days in the shop before he weather turned it into a sauna for 2 months! And thanks again for bringing us all together on this.
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from your channel with this but this was a pleasant surprise, really unique and painstaking process to perfect.
The final result reminds me of another art piece inspired by the game Pac-Man that represents all the characters as spacemen with the sole survivor being hunted by the others. All the ghosts in the game are represented as grim reaper type creatures in spacesuits, with only their skull peering through their helmets.
Yours however not quite as creepy as that with the really neat carpet texture 😆

This was what I was missing from season 1!!! This season so many DIFFERENT kinds of artists are putting their stamp on this and the diversity is absolutely amazing!!!!

You rocked this, my friend! I love how the piece is starting to develop a sci-fi story line. Between your space astronaut, my alien invasion, Ten Hun’s warrior, defending the other characters, and Bill’s robot that’s taken up residence on earth…we’re really getting something going now! SUPER AWESOME WORK! 🤘💜

I did think at one point the collabs where dead , but i do understand things take time , you done a awesome job at making another art medium style which breaks everything up , i think some kind of space sequins or more fabric style, paper mache would fit right in with your rug style

I think the front just became my favorite! Ive never seen such an amazing mixture of different artistic mediums, like the rug just makes the piece so much more unique!
A skull in a space suit is a great complement to Ten, due to many of his characters wearing some kind of suit.
Not going to lie, I had my reservations when Kat mentioned you might make a rug here. But watching you work, seeing it all come together and the placement of it, it’s honestly perfect. Nicely done.
I love how your art added a 3d element to the piece. It gave it so much dimension.

This was so cool and essential. Finally utilizing that skull in probably the coolest way anyone could think of. I'm glad its in keeping with hopefully the new outer-space vibes the piece will move into. I still need someone to encompass the first three characters in a creepy forest in the foreground though. I'm excited to follow your channel in the future.
My shop is not the most organized, neither is the inside of my brain.

Perfect use of them! And now i need to get a bag of assorted googly eyes to place in random places to bring some unexpected levity.
Super cool idea to add the rug, hope it stays on with that glue gun glue... regardless though love the idea and really enjoyed watching/hearing your process. Also I am SUPER CURIOUS about an artist being removed from the project... hoping there is a video on that. This project has gone on forever and it just ads to it's story. Hopefully, when it's finished... TenHun will do a vid on it and tell the full tale. Great work man... ended up looking DECENT. ;)
My guess would be BouneArt, his art was the one on the inner right door. He did the art before Kat. I checked his channel and couldn't find the collaboration video. But I might be wrong tho
@@damiettamataram3492 it seems he was removed from the TenHun playlist too. I am curious what happened.
@@lozantoninocreations I guess his piece was heavily influenced, if not completely copied from another artists work. Which someone brought to TenHundred's attention, and Bourne agreed he should have his piece removed. Probably would have been an issue when the piece was sold as prints after the collab is "someday" finished.
@@JohnAJohnsonThat scenario is very possible tho. Bummer.. The second Keith said about the removed artist, I paused the video and checked the artist line up. Kinda made me drafted away from his video. I watched the vid secondly to actually appreciate his cool artwork without being distracted by the news. So Keith is the one who gonna "erase" Buone's art then? Second bummer.. He has so many responsibilities. In my opinion, Ten Hun should be the one who announced it so Keith has his own "spotlight" moment.

this is awesome, every time i think they can’t possibly do something newer and cooler, they do - i never expected a rug would’ve been added to this but it works so well. you also just seem like a super chill dude, and i really enjoyed this video

When you first said rug I was imagining you making a hook rug like my grandmother used to make. This seems like a much faster way to get the yarn in place. Much less measuring and cutting of the yarn pre-trimming as well. Still very impressive.

This is great! A 5-panel painting/work is called a "pentatyptych," though anything beyond a triptych is usually just called a "polyptych."
I will now know this info forever and use it probably only once haha. Thanks.

In 2020, I worked with a theater company to rewrite Moliere's "Tartuffe" as a Zoom play about political events, and I did it in Dr. Seuss style, which I learned is called "anapestic tetrameter," so that sort of weird trivia now sticks in my brain. (Also, Art History degree holder, which has done me no good in the real world of money-making, but I like knowing things like that.)

This is gorgeous. If you ever need to cut something in half like this again, I would glue to one door then slice just the glue on the back. Then glue to the second door. Really brilliant addition.

Thanks! I ultimately chose to do the rug for this reason. I think the collab should open all of us up to as many new ideas, styles, and techniques as possible.
