When you removed the real tape I was like... And what is the big reveal? Then I looked again and I was: NO WAY. Damn! It looks so realistic that it deceived my eyes flawlessly. Incredible work, Alpay! I always love your style. By the way, the music choice was perfect.

Okay, so I know the tape was the optical illusion he spoke about, but the fact that it looks so real is giving me so much anxiety....want someone to peel it off so bad, and the fact that it's impossible is driving me crazy.

He is in Australia, from Germany to Australia. Jazza is also a huge RUclipsr who may get really busy. Covid makes all things travel slower.... Patience.
On the late update from the next artist, Jazza, he was definitely in the middle of a big move of his art studio during this time (you can even see the open space in his clip here where there normally is a huge desk and some furniture, so he was def moving out then). Tbh, I'm surprised he accepted this turn to paint rn because I was like, "aren't you in the middle of moving??" So in good time it will happen, but I'm not surprised he hasn't posted yet.

The tape could have been placed above the Raven so it isn't covering another artist's work. There's plenty of space for it there. I see this as rude and inconsiderate the most ironic thing about it is DOKE's piece says RESPECT and what Alpay did could be considered to be disrespectful but DOKE doesn't seem to mind so I guess no harm no foul.
i have to say that even if the tape is super realistic and well done, i really don't like it on this particular painting...choices

I figured since he was "Mr Tape" that the tape *is* his signature
I was totally fooled, it wasn't until the pen roll I realized what I was seeing.

I liked the information you put in the video, and the way you moved the final image around to showcase the way it would look in a different angle. It takes a lot of technical skill to do that well, so kudos to you! :D

Love the tape, it makes it tactile in the way that it grabs your attention and creates the feeling of "I want to remove the tape that they seem to have forgotten on there".

Its so beautiful! i just wish the tape placement was actually over your own work because It made me want to peel off the tape so I could see the graffiti but we couldn't! now the Graffiti looks uncomfortable to look at because of the tape.
And there's actually a negative space below the raven that you could've used. maybe if the tape was there it would look satisfying

The first few people showed how they signed the piece and added to the back. Is that not happening anymore? Love the raven. Nice how you added light border around it before the dark. And the Trompe d'oielle or however it goes in French was amazing. There's a book by that name, sort of a fiction thriller.

So, I have been watching Jazza for quite a while and watched his new video on his section of the collab first. So after finishing his video of course I had to go back to the very beginning and watch all of the other artists. During Jazza's final reveal I kept wondering why he had not removed that one final piece of tape. It wasn't something I had really noticed before on the painting but know it all makes sense. Well done my good sir. Your raven and realistic overlay painting have stunned me. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching all of the artists and their artistic interpretations and am very grateful for the introduction to these amazing artists. (Whom I have now all subscribed to.) Keep up the great work.

Love the raven and the tape, cannot stand the placement of the tape. It covers up one of the dopest parts of the painting and is a complete distraction. Why couldn't it go at the top corner of your raven? Why in the middle?
I hate the tagging part... And love the tape... To each their own I guess.

Even though the tape very well made, i just cant take my eyes off from it and want to take off... distracking x.x. Raven is cool too but the parts where u can see the background (near the feathers) annoys me xD

Raven is cool but the tape looks so real that it looks like someone left tape on the picture. It’s distracting and too much of a contrast where as the other art blends together cohesively.
Yeah I agree. It would honestly stop me from bidding to win this. The talent to do the tape is amazing, but he’s ruined the whole thing with it in my opinion, it’s out of place and quite ridiculous.
@69M views absolutely. Your skills are so amazing that it looks like real tape. Which is part of the issue. The tape is distracting. Imagine the people seeing the painting and asking why there is tape on the painting. It is hard to see the rest of the art without looking at the tape first.

Art is supposed to create emotion. He took the risk of playing with frustration, anger, hopelessness and loss. It's painful, and playful and I think he made his point. Remember when Banksy shredded his million dollar art at the auction house ?

If you want an honest unbiased openion then, I think that tape could have been used in a context like covering a would or tear. It would have looked so much cooler, because you have some serious talent. I don't think you had much planned or maybe the space was limited, but honestly you could have done so much better than a crow or raven. Your friends and fans are here to applaud at everything you do, but personally, I would like to see you grow, so don't think I am hating on your art. Treat situations like these like a challenge rather than a chore. So that one day you could look back and take a trip back to nostalgia lane. Artist like you should not put oil or acrylic on the canvas, draw something and call it a day, but rather imprint their souls on it.You may not recognise it but there are some who might look up to you to find the confidence and inspiration needed, and this did not do justice to them. It was an art, a good one but not great. Keep up and stay blessed. Subscribing to see more. 👍
