Would be nice to have a break from horror and movie filming locations. Hey we're all different. Learn to enjoy what you can out of these. I really enjoy his videos of being out on the road though.
I grew up in Boulder City in the 60s & 70s. It has changed a lot. It was a normal town then. Now it looks like a side show. A lot less people and traffic too back then. In high school I was in the marching band and we went down to the Dam to play for president Jimmy Carter...He never showed up. The bathrooms on the dam hang over the face of the dam with little louvered vents for windows. I took a full toilet paper roll, held one end and let the roll out the vent. The entire roll spilled out and blew across the face of the dam. I scuba dived on both sides of the dam in the park service. It was a wonderful place to grow up there back then.
hello again Adam and Dani 702 , the monster museum was really good , awww sweet story about the dog , was sad how he passed though , really well done and thank you guys 😊
Never been to the Hoover Dam.. I just hope when I do go.. I can take all the dam pictures I want & I can ask all the dam questions I have.. like, ‘Where can I get some Dam bait?’ 😂😂😂 I Had To!!!
I remember when there was no bridge and you had to drive crossed the dam all the time. It took forever. The bridge was so needed! Glad to see it isn’t like radiator springs though and people are not seeing the dam!
Going this summer and enjoyed the tour you provide and the details. 2014 drove over the bridge from Denver to Las Vegas. And yes 1984 drove over the Hoovet Dam family road trips and they had Nevada and Arizona painted the road. BOY!!!! Has it changed. When we were there the water was filled to the top were the water towers are on stilts. So beautiful!!!!! Thanks again, Adam!
Well this is a fabulous tour thank u Wooster n Dani .. poor puppy .. this is why u check your surroundings .. go and hug my dog now after seeing that... 💗🙏
That dam is amazing and terrifying at the same time! Such a sweet story about the dog. Thanks for letting me see things I probably won’t get to see in my lifetime!
Now there's a blast from the past. The creature from the black lagoon 1954. 69 years since that was made. Still a classic film. That's amazing. from 🇬🇧👍 an old cockney gal
Boulder City looks like an amazing place to visit. Our son would absolutely love the Monster museum. Going to Hoover Dam is something we'll have to visit sometime also. Thank you again for another great video. Be safe Steve and Sandee
Hi Adam, Happy to see that u made it to Vegas! Loved the Monster Museum, u went to, also great vlog on the Hoover Dam, it reminds me of the scene in Vegas Vacation, when Clark Griswold is swinging from side to side across the dam, hilarious! Love that movie, Classic Chevy Chase, stay well Adam.
God bless toilet paper! 😂 I will always cherish the stories of my mother growing up on a 1950s farm in South Dakota, using an outhouse with nothing but hard corn husks and Sears Roebuck catalogs to wipe her behind! ❤❤
AWESOME JOB, ADAM !! I've been across the Dam many times in the past. My last time to cross was in 2007. That HUGE Bridge was under construction back then. HOOVER DAM is one of the most Amazing pieces of Architecture in our History, I love it ! I Love that 1930's Art Deco Style, Beautiful ! Back in 2007 when I was there that Water Line around the sides was very THIN ! Our Drought is a bit more Serious then many think... THANK YOU, ADAM I really Enjoyed this one !! :) I never knew the history of a Dog there, Sad ending... :(
Dam good video. That bridge was dam high. Dam the water is low. Should have gone on the dam tour. The toilet paper guy had the best job, he didn't have to worry about falling off the dam cliff. Dam it sucks the dog got run over. Dam, I can't believe Dani was afraid of heights. And "where can I buy some dam bait?"
Hi Adam! Northern Nevada native here! Battle born and raised! I had family that worked on that dam, knew that dog and, cried the day he died. No his name isn't "pc" for our day and age but, I think it's shameful that it looks like they are just trying to erase it. The dog's name was "Nig" yes... It's what you are thinking. But at the time that this engineering wonder was being built language and ethnic opinions were different. That dog was loved beyond measure and cared for by everyone. He was important! He was the only thing out there that gave those working on the dam some hope and joy at the end of the day. He was loved enough to have a name.
🕷 Boulder City is an American treasure! So glad you got to explore some of it. Tom's Monster Museum and crew are fantastic, such a talented group. It gets better every year. Definitely check out TDMM's Haunt & HalloweenParade, it's next level og!! He was kind enough to let me join in the spook show a few times. I 100% highly recommend it.
Interesting places in Arizona, even though is hot, it got great places of interest to visit. The Long Wong's food joint would be the first place that I'll visit. Man, I so need the Laurel and Hardy's menu statues outside the food joint. Definitely a collectors item. 👍🏻✌
I took a tour years ago ( which still might be available- and well worth it) where we took an elevator down to different levels of the Dam to learn and see how it was constructed. It is an absolute marvel of engineering!! The concrete is still drying.
To get to Arizona from Vegas you had to drive over the dam before the bridge was built. After 9/11, the Dam police had to check every vehicle before it crossed over the dam. Traffic would be be backed up. Especially on holiday weekends. The bridge now saves a lot of time and was long overdue. Welcome to my hometown of Vegas.
Adam, I've been to Hoover Dam twice, in 1988 going home from visiting my Daddy's brother and his family in California and in 1996 when my oldest niece and I got to go on vacation with my Mom and stepdad. We drove across the dam. Really enjoyed your video and I subscribed to Dani's channel. Looking forward to your next vlog!
Back in 2000 we took a "hard hat" tour @ the dam. We walked through alot of the tunnels in the wall & actually looked out of grates in the wall. After 9/11 happened they discontinued those tours & also regulated the traffic on the dam. That is why the bridge was built - to divert traffic away from the top of the dam.
One time a few years ago I was stranded on the Arizona/Nevada state line and stayed in Laughlin. We rented a jet Sho and jetskied up the Colorado to Lake Havasu and it was one of the most memorable moments of my life. I highly suggest any fellow adventurers experience this once in their life and definitely get gas in Pirate Cove! 💙💀💙
I'm showing my age but I remember when the highway from Arizona to Vegas went over Hoover Dam.....terrible traffic jams...Also Desi Arnaz Jr. lived or maybe still does live in Boulder City...
Welcome to Boulder City one of my home towns. I graduated high school here . The Boulder Theatre opened in 1932 with 550 seats and the only air conditioning in Boulder City. Earl Brothers, who owned and operated the theater, ran movies 24 hours a day to accommodate all shifts of the hot and exhausted workers building Boulder Dam. The theater continued to show movies and host special community and school events until 1997, when it was purchased and then restored by Amy and Desi Arnaz Jr. The theatre then hosted live ballet produced by Amy Arnaz. The old restored homes right off NV Highway were homes that the managers building the Dam lived in. Most homes on the alphabet streets were homes that the builders lived in. Most of these homes have been restored and are national landmarks. The old Boulder City hotel on Arizona St. is also known to be haunted.
@Adam the woo as you are also a movie buff. My father in law worked on numerous movie sets. Cannon Ball Run was filmed right off highway 93 by the dry lake bed in Boulder City.

only thing I can say about the Hoover dam is wow. Adam seeing the dam as your seeing it. is amazing what wonderful piece of engineering achievement. shame you can't get a bit closer. I hope the dam is inspected often. all it needs is just 1 hair line crack in the dam I think nobody would stand a chance. I hope that it never happens. makes me wonder how many people lost there lives building the dam. from 🇬🇧👍 an old cockney gal
The road that crosses the Hoover Dam was once part of Route 466, which ran from Morro Bay, California to Kingman, Arizona . If 466 sounds familiar, it was the highway James Dean was on, in 1955.
Dani is so cool.
It's also so welcomed to see content away from any theme parks and back on the road!
100% real.
Ditto for seeing more content away from theme parks.
Would be nice to have a break from horror and movie filming locations. Hey we're all different. Learn to enjoy what you can out of these. I really enjoy his videos of being out on the road though.
I love them all!!! 😀
@@litaperna1128 She makes a much better ornament than Natalie, that's for sure.
I am glad you got too see Lake Mead while it is still in existence.
Great video. That looks amazing. To quote Vegas Vacation, “Welcome to the Dam tour”!
Breakfast at the Coffee Cup! I must during ANY visit of Boulder City, NV!
Love all the old school stuff! Neon signs and retro architecture, awesome!

Incredible visit to Hoover Dam! Wow. Nice to see Dani too!!
Adam you showed us another great video, Thank you for taking us along
I am beginning to believe Adam hired the lawn worker from celebration to follow him around with the leaf blower. LOL

Seeng the Hoover Dam was really nice. Enjoyed seeing Dani again!
Love this area! Can't wait to go back. Great video!
Danni your just adorable! “ long walks on the beach” takes on a new meaning lol
I remember seeing the dam full back in the late 70s thru the 80s when we were kids traveling to Vegas. Crazy how much the water level has fallen.
Thanks for the detail Hoover dam and area. I will. Probably never get there and with you I have
God bless toilet paper! 😂 I will always cherish the stories of my mother growing up on a 1950s farm in South Dakota, using an outhouse with nothing but hard corn husks and Sears Roebuck catalogs to wipe her behind! ❤❤

Bridge as a result of need and expedited after 9-11 to increase the surveillance to reduce a possible terror attack on the dam.
@@dalejensen5828 that's both ironic and interesting... The dam is a result of an urgent need during the great depression... 😅

I was @ the dam in '83 or so when it was overflowing - I think one of the only times it's happened - which was INCREDIBLE to see in person!
Hey I live here! Thanks for showing this lil town off!

Thanks Adam 👍🏻
Ohhhh baby....triggers my fear of heights. But incredible stuff. Thankyou 👍
Hoover Dam always makes me think of Chevy Chase in Vegas Vacation. Hope you brought some bubblegum Adam

Awesome shirt Woo-Man! I love Kingdom of the Spiders!
Watching this made me think of Chevy Chase when he visited there in the movie.
I finally made it to Hoover Dam last fall. Amazing to be there in person, pictures don't do it justice much like the Grand canyon
I am going to start taking a drink of a piping hot caffeinated beverage when you say whatnot. I love your content and appreciate everything you do
