Im a 100% Chevy fan, but am also a car enthusiast. So I appreciate many different makes n models, especially well built ones. Since there's been well built Fords w/Chevy motors, it's nice to see a well built Chevy w/a Ford motor. There's nothing about that truck that's junk. So coming from a Chevy guy, Nicely Done! I dont get it, but it happens. As I said im a Chevy guy, but Ford produced the 1st V8, and im pretty sure they were the go to hot rod motors until Chevy made V8s in 55. This being said, Chevy has made good stuff and so has Ford. So gotta appreciate well done, that truck my friend, was well done!

Back in 1980 I put a 427 SOHC Ford in a 72 El Camino, I took it to the Chevy Nationals and won my class in the drag races. I never opened the hood but when I was asked what engine was in it I just said 427. I could tell there was some suspicion from other racers but they never asked me to pop the hood. As I was leaving the drag strip that night some guy with a Ford hat on gave me a thumbs up and said, I know what you got under the hood , I just grinned and kept driving.I sold it to a Chevy guy in the late 80s and he couldn’t of been more happy with how it ran.I wish I would of kept that engine now.

Like the 5.0 but probably cost 5000$ more than a LS swap so not cost effective at all.

Chevy boys are quick to put a GM engine in anything, but are just as quick to get bent out of shape when you flip the script. Turnabout is fair play.
That's where your wrong Chevy guys don't buy Ford anything and stick ls motors in only Ford guys buy Ford's and stick ls motors in them. Chevy people don't even like seeing ls motors in Fords. I'd rather see the Ford guys stick a hemi in not the ls.

I think it's a pretty cool swap, it's something different, something that you wouldn't normally expect. Everybody likes an old classic pickup truck. So, imagine going to a car/truck cruise-in/car show and then seeing the reactions when you pop the hood open.
Man that's a good looking Chevy C10 Foxcast media and the Ford Coyote V8 in general is a pure beast.

i did a 351w and a c6 in a 73 c10 about 15 years ago, loved the build but the truck was rough. blew it apart to swap into a new body and life got in the way. would love to do another someday.

I swapped a coyote in a 73 for my dad last year, standard tranny too..... Theyre out there.
Human ingenuity at its finest it is the "american way".
Far as i know the coyote has the modular bellhousing. So a 4r70, zf5 4r100 m5r2 and others work.

I remember when I used to visit my cousins that lived in the country when I went to there high school I would see a rifle in the back window of a student's truck. No one thought twice about it. Even I carried a buck knife in a leather case on me in high school. Those days are long gone.

Even if you watch movie's from the 70s and 80's you might see a rifle in the back window of a truck.

I had a 5.0 5sp tremec in a 90 Mazda miata....

Ive had and still have plenty other cars, these ones stayed smoking Ls engines though.
Not that I hate ls engines, as I have on in my g8 and that's worked.
But I have other stuff that's better, and cheaper to maintain overall.
Chevy people take Ford vehicles and throw Chevy motors in them so why cant we throw a Ford in a chevy.

I'm a lifelong Ford guy ~ never owned a Chevy. However, the prettiest truck ever made is the 1968 Chevy C10. I will own one, one day and I will put the 5.0 in it because I want my Chevy to run....
A guy I work with has a Chevie II with a 351 Cleveland in it, I laugh every time I see chevy guys shake their heads after looking under the hood.

A Coyote in a Mustang II would be cool but damn that would be a tight fit!!. I've seen a few that had 385 series Big block Fords and a couple old FE big blocks swapped in. And they were a tight squeeze. I think that would take one big shoe horn to get it to fit!!
And a Coyote in any older F-series is a cool swap.

It's a good build , doesn't matter if it's a Nissan engine . This is a great truck . Great craftsmanship . I like certain Ford years , and certain Chevy years . I think it's a good combination of a Chevy truck year with a newer Coyote engine . Best of both worlds

Go to any car show and almost every 50s F100 has a Chevy small block. Turnabout is fair play.
Thats kinda cool. Around here, Midwest, everyone build the 6 or it gets a 390. Very few with 460s and almost no LS.

I love the fact that someone did the swap. Not really into chevys, so I'm kind of meh on the truck. It's cool for what it is and the engine is definitely cool. And I love the fact that the bowtie guys/gals will get upset about it. It will give them a little taste of what the Ford fans have been putting up with for years.

One thing I have always liked about the old square body Chevy trucks is how damn big the engine bay is..even a coyote looks small in there..and they are huge...
