    Thanks Good advice. I just got a set for my E92 Coupe. Getting a lot of misfires from older bosch coils. I had to replace my MSD80 injector 5 Mosfet. Easy test to locate the burnt Mosfet/s. My MSD80 has a flash tune. 6 X New upgraded Mosfets from U.K were $16,50 AUD. I had a big problem with a cheap Chinese HPFP put shit in all my new injectors. Learnt from that mistake

      On stage 1 98ron V9 map, will be going stage1+ after this Coronavirus is over hopefully.
      The Eldor coils should be able to handle Stage2+ which is well over 400+ bhp
      I'm not sure about 600bhp to be honest. Might be a good idea to see if you can speak to other n54 owners with hybrid turbos running big power to see if they are on Eldor Coils.

    • @LeeOnTheTrack
      @LeeOnTheTrack 4 года назад

      Kyle G you are correct but there is no extra current draw with a BL harness or PR coils... that’s the point of the upgrade . The coils are being powered directly from the battery. The dme is just being used as a trigger for them to fire . Back when I got my car in 2012 the first thing I did with Downpipes and catch can was build a harness to run Audi coils once shivs open flash tablet came out . I still had a mosfet burn out due to a misfire but it was not coil related . Mosfets blow because once a misfire occurs the dme shuts off the injector and coil on that cylinder and the drain current on turn off is more than what the oem mosfets are rated for . Which is why it isn’t an issue on msd81s or repaired mds80s.

    FCPeruo doesn't have Eldor coils for my kick ass F10 535i M-Sport BMW. I have no choice but to get them from eBay as it seems to be the same pricing to the OEM Delphi's which my car still have the original ones and in need of better coils! My car idles perfect on the needle but it does make a jerking/jolt that can be felt inside and it feels like some person leans on the side of the car pushing the car a bit. its annoying, hopefully its the old coils as they probably fire lately instantly in a fraction of a second making the car stutter while idling...

      @@ZeroTo60Tube The the first thing I changed first since it was giving me a Drive Train Malfunction which ended up being the old spark plugs that were never changed and looked messed up! No more misfires but the Delphi coils it has seem to be the original ones as they are the OEM for this model and when I took them out they look really worn but still fire. One did looked oxidized and another had the rubber tip really curved to one side somehow seem extreme heat caused it. One of them could probably have tiny puncture holes causing spark to exit and touch the piston walls maybe causing that sudden jerking at idle!
      Surely need to switch to better coils and get that doubt out of the way.

      If you are using automated fitment guides. The data large companies use to to blanket fitment data for websites, they probably wont list this as they are for the newer models. Until someone updates the data to show superseded part numbers, you may have fitment issues with bulk lists. All that said this car is in the vid is a 2008 335i with the same engine. They definitely fit. The part number of the exact ones i ordered is in the description, if you want to double check. Let us know if you have any questions.
