If its a newer mac all he can do is wipe and re-install as all the drives are soldered on and non replaceable, or they only work on that device and cant be replaced with another one of the same make or model. (i believe some people have been working towards upgrading/replacing the storage on macs but for the most part its not worth the trouble), best to just zero out the drive and fresh install of macOS

Good to know you’re still kicking ass! I remembered when I erased all my videos just because of the sideshows around my area. I figured since something like that happened to you, it’s only a matter of time before they do this in the state to get people to stop doing dumb things at car meets. But here is the downside to all that, petrol heads like you like to show the progress of the car, and well sideshows, there was a huge difference except having a vehicle. Give or take the police will have to try to get at the true corporate not the ones that can pay the fines just because it’s easier than getting at someone with a load ton of money. They might just be milking the case.

This is honestly the craziest thing I’ve ever heard especially if you didn’t even do anything, you sound like an awesome, really positive guy and I don’t think I could have been nearly as cool as you seemed and I’m Canadian! Not just becuase of the position it put me in, but as a business owner im aware of what it cost to invest so much man power and time in to the investigation. Utter waste of resources.

Glad your still kicking around. Sucks you had to go through that. I lost my license for 6 months once. Blew by a cop in my 1990 Volvo 740 turbo at around 140mph. Cop was cool, Didt arrest me. $1500 fine, $2k lawyer and 6 moths no license. I was looking at 18 months in jail and a dishonorable discharge from the Air Force so I got off easy.. Car licence and registration is not a Legal requirement under the Constitution re implemented in the Supreme court's in Australia 2013. Only required for doing commerce.

The correct way to turn the tables is to register all motor vehicles under a corporation / ABN. They then have to work on the assumption of innocence. If the vehicle is registered in a natural person‘s name, they play the guilty until proven otherwise card, every single time. I once had an encounter where I would have been sent to jail and/or dragged through the courts to the point life wasn’t worth living, had the vehicle been in my name due to the nature of the alleged offending. Due to it being registered to a corporation all they could do was send two officers to the registered business address where they could find no sign of the vehicle in question. The investigating officer wrote a nasty letter with some false threats, which we replied that “we don’t know what you are talking about” and the matter was dropped completely.. interestingly it did not even make the news.
I didnt realise what little we have here. Having the government walk in to your house and take all your things because they thing you accelerated too fast a few times, was mind blowing.

Lawyers like to be cautious, but in some cases make your case public can be the best thing for you. It can pressure them and the prosecution to drop the charges quicker.

Havent watched this channel for about 3 years now. Very surprised they even targeted you..... Like 90% of your videos are maintenance and repairs. Even your 0-100 videos how could they possibly take that as hooning.

I remembered when I erased all my videos just because of the sideshows around my area. I figured since something like that happened to you, it’s only a matter of time before they do this in the state to get people to stop doing dumb things at car meets. But here is the downside to all that, petrol heads like you like to show the progress of the car, and well sideshows, there was a huge difference except having a vehicle. Give or take the police will have to try to get at the true corporate not the ones that can pay the fines just because it’s easier than getting at someone with a load ton of money. They might just be milking the case.
Never seen your channel before, this is the first video I’ve seen. This is honestly the craziest thing I’ve ever heard especially if you didn’t even do anything, you sound like an awesome, really positive guy and I don’t think I could have been nearly as cool as you seemed and I’m Canadian!

I went through a similar thing with Derbyshire police in the UK back in 2018 and wouldn't want anyone going through the same thing, worst and most expensive phase of my life (although thankfully not quite what you had to fork out!) Cop was cool, Didt arrest me. $1500 fine, $2k lawyer and 6 moths no license. I was looking at 18 months in jail and a dishonorable discharge from the Air Force so I got off easy.. I'll be looking forward to new vids! Merry christmas🎉

The correct way to turn the tables is to register all motor vehicles under a corporation / ABN. They then have to work on the assumption of innocence. If the vehicle is registered in a natural person‘s name, they play the guilty until proven otherwise card, every single time. I once had an encounter where I would have been sent to jail and/or dragged through the courts to the point life wasn’t worth living, had the vehicle been in my name due to the nature of the alleged offending. Due to it being registered to a corporation all they could do was send two officers to the registered business address where they could find no sign of the vehicle in question. The investigating officer wrote a nasty letter with some false threats, which we replied that “we don’t know what you are talking about” and the matter was dropped completely.. interestingly it did not even make the news.
I always wondered why the content changed, none the less happy to see you return back to normalcy!

Wow, I am really sorry for you, I feel very sad about this, I went through a similar situation with divorce where I lost $100K in just legal fees for marrying the wrong person and I ended up (and still am) broke! And I don't have the money to fix my N54 in the last 8 months...

Havent watched this channel for about 3 years now. Very surprised they even targeted you..... Like 90% of your videos are maintenance and repairs. Even your 0-100 videos how could they possibly take that as hooning.
I know.... like i mentioned i think they were expecting to find footage that was much worse than was on the channel.... which they didnt. However didnt stop them doubling down as the investigation and court process progressed. At the start of december i was facing 11 charges.... absolute madness.

So , what was the probable cause for the raid in the first place? Results of trial? Are you able to get any restitution for your property being taken ?
Footage depicting a vehicle speeding was the cause. It never made it to the second trial. We did a deal. I wanted it to be over.
