  • The Countryman is the biggest MINI model ever. This 2nd generation Countryman may look like the previous model but MINI changed everything on the car except the wheel caps. The 2017 MINI Copper Countryman comes in 2 trims ranging in price from $26,100 to $37,800. The model seen here is the Countryman S with AWD which has a base price of $31,100. Under the hood is 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 189 horsepower and 207 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is 21 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway.

I was aiming for a bigger SUV at first but when I saw the 2nd gen countryman that changed my mind. I will get it hopefully in few months time

    I own 2016 S Countryman.
I can say the fuel is better than what they claim it is. (Of course colder weather it'd be worst)
However, having it as daily driver, using highway 45% of the week, fuel averages around 30 mpg on my last fillup.
The reason people would prefer the base model would be obviously for fuel consumption. Afterall the countryman isn't designed to be the sporty mini, it's designed to be the touring mini. If you prefer more sport with your ride you get the Clubman or the cooper.
Personally l love mine, simple car with good fuel and comfortable ride.

Ok great review of the mini. The mini brand is considered a premium car. I should know, because I have a 15 Mini Cooper S 4 door hardtop. My insurance company considered it a premium compact sedan. The big giveaway to that is the brand is owned by BMW!

Great detailed review! Please review the hybrid version, does it really saved a lot fuel? How much the bottom of the truck reduced for the battery? Can I get red color for the hybrid color?

The car in this video has a New Jersey State licence plate but you filmed the review in what looks like sunny southern California in the Los Angeles area can you please explain why that is in terms of logistics for getting the car all the way across the country from New york to LA for example?

Bentley, Hyundai Genesis & Mini Coopers all have a somewhat similar badge. They are all fancy cars too. Coincidence? 🤔

180 hp from 2.0L turbo? Some 2.0L turbo engines produce nearly 300 hp.

Sangmin Lee... The same engine makes 228 in the bmw x1 and jcw trim... It's marketing placement on bwm's part... A tune/chip will bump up the numbers

Have a 2007 MINI Cooper S and other than oil / fluid changes and an early issue fixed under warranty, I still am running with all original parts. No interior wear and tear. I will be buying a Countryman in 2019/2020.
