(December 2024) This elevator does not sound very great. It seems to run well but these are not known to hold up too well.

They need to discontinue the EOX because they’re a pain to operate smoothly. And TK Studio. A lot of KONEs are problematic as well because their fixtures and lanterns are cheap looking. Schindler’s later ones (FI GL 100 and FI GS) are problematic too. Otis’s most problematic ones are their Luxury ones; they wear out pretty slowly, but some Series 1s, 2s, 3s and 4s wear out very slowly. Do Gen2s and Gen3s act like this too? Mitsubishi and Fujitec make the best ones. Some generic fixtures aren’t cheap looking. How Menards maintains their elevators depends on their locations; they like to save big money no matter what.

You would be better off over-shooting the floor then returning to it from about 4 floors past it opposed to going straight to the next floor, with slowness like that. I think the Hampton Inn in Denver's Capitol Hill is like that. It has the button panel on the side and those long slits for vents both on the floor and above the door. I don't think it runs the way the one here, does.
