Same man. My dreams as a kid were getting good and hitting the tour circuit till we caught on or burnt out. That's not even am option for bands to succeed at this point. It's all about social media. Not one show ever needs to be played

@@cbeserra at least live music was still a thing in the 90s. That's the difference now. Promotion is all digital and you dont even need to do anything live. You dont even need a full band
It's catching up in India the live guitar performances wouldn't say metal but never lose hppe who knows there will be a new lot who would be i to djent riffs and shreds...
It sells in India...and I hope it ctaches up coz the population is huge...so it will be awesome with the reach

jayvids4u granted he did attempt to tank rings of saturns’ career by acussing them of not actually playing guitar love and just miming, he was proven wrong and now i think hes kind of a dick for trying to potentially ruin peoples lifes live that.

i had a music teacher back in the day who taught one great lesson: play less and mean it more.

He is a real musician. Just because he isn't in a major label band, doesn't mean he isn't a real musician. RUclipsrs get a lot of heat, due to being on RUclips. This interview was awesome.

A lot of people in this comment section seem jealous. I personally don’t like his content that much but he’s doing what he loves and is making a living off of it. And a majority of these comments are probably just boring bedroom “musicians” who work a dead end job.

It’s like everyone that is giving him shit act like they haven’t done one stupid thing in their life and it really gets on my nerves. Not really understanding how Jared isn’t a real musician. He’s in a pretty successful band and has done huge shows with huge bands. Breaking Benjamin doesn’t just pick some guy to play for them. Besides all of the fat nerds who are even saying that he’s “not a real musician” are probably the same people who have only ever played guitar in their bedroom and struggles to play a basic classic rock solo😂
People who aren’t musicians hate people who are cause they’re jealous they can’t do what musicians can do they don’t want some else to be cooler then then , I’d know I’m a drummer I’ve played for 7 years I also play bass and piano and I got tones of hate
Jared is a very good musician. He is very approachable and down to earth. I think his music is great and will continue to get better

Polyphia is more the past 8 years of guitar than its future. It's just your run of the mill "Ibanez band" - even has the whole "gay teen" look and everything.
I'm a little older and can remember when being a guitarist was more of an 'alpha male' type of thing. Now it has become an almost, 'hide in your livingroom, record until you create the perfect track and post on youtube' thing. Much easier today because guitarist don't have to put themselves out there and struggle. Things change though and that's cool I guess. I will say, because of youtube and modern technology, it's much easier for people to learn faster.
the "first song" he came up with is a direct play on "steal away the night" by ozzy/randy rhoads ,he revises it but i can see the same things happening in both.its awesome either way

@Andy Salter What, so my personal favourite guitar player should have to be someone who made a change to guitar playing and the instrument itself? Jared isn't dimebag, hetfeild, tim henson or jimmy page or steve vai or whoever but that doesn't mean that he can't be my favourite. I like him because of the way he writes and plays and the way that impacts me as a player. He's a brilliant player to me so don't bother writing judgey comments like this.
