  • I took my Cybertruck to it's Spa day to get the front windshield & side windows tinted! This was the first they had done a Cybertruck, so it was a good learning experience for them as they do many vehicles of all kinds and they expect to be asked to do more Cybertrucks in the future!
    I hope you find the process interesting and have a better understanding of what to expect should you get your Cybertruck windows and windshield tinted.
    Thanks to everyone at www.lonestarti... for allowing me to video the process and for adding great commentary along the way!

    They seem like miracle workers. I can't even unspool some Saran Wrap without messing it all up.

    Great install. I had that done to my Panamera years ago and it was so helpful blocking heat in the front.

    I just did one of these last week and it’s not as bad as it look, one you said in the video was that the ceramic film blocks 99% of the heat, that’s not true if your referring to the selective IR rejection. Most ceramic films are in the 90’s. But the way you measure the amount of heat blocked is TSER lever.

    If anyone ever does a windsheild, make sure to do nothing more than 70 and preferrably 90! But it does make a massive difference in heat reduction (if ceramic)

      and 90% you won't even notice and neither will anyone else. Done this to all vehicles I have, including my MYP

    I believe the reason they don't already come tinted is because some states do not allow you to put dark tint on windshield and driver side doors so as to allow officers to see what your doing.

    Joe, you are doing ok with night driving with that windshield tint level? I just got mine done, first time on any vehicle, drove on dark country road last night and was a little concerned about nighttime visibility. Seems similar tint level as yours. Will give it some time and probably get accustomed to it.

      Zero issues. I’ve had the same applied to three cars and have never had an issue or concern.

    just had front windshield tinted (xpel xr plus) on my cybertruck. the edges at the front lifted. i see about four vertical bubbles about 3-4 inches long. I have warranty. this happened within 24hrs of the tint being installed. can this be fixed? what did my installer do wrong or is this expected?😅

      Why are you asking me? When you took it back to them and asked them about their install, what did they say? Which installer did you use?

    How do you get the front sticker on and off

    • @JoeTegtmeyer
      @JoeTegtmeyer  4 месяца назад

      It’s on a static cling piece of clear plastic and it just sticks into the tint and holds well but is easy to remove and reuse.

      @@JoeTegtmeyer if I can't see your eyes, I don't know if you're going to kill me or not. Also the tint will make your vision worse at night and in the rain, so you're more likely to hit pedestrians. Just get sunglasses 😉
