You can make the grav hammer launch way more consistent by lining up with the 'hole' where there is a section of grate missing and the running at it then jump and swing.
@@BlargnCheese I have not it about 15-20 times from restarting checkpoint and he always has flare. I had the same issue at the end of Sierra 117. I've had to just restart the mission (MMC Xbox 1)
i dont like how the hammer launch is one of them skill luck launchs ha. good run bro. thanks for the tips, then i always get the flare even with reset ha
Louis Sosa Thank you! No time for long breaks in between releases...I still have about 200 more achievements to cover in the Master Chief Collection, plus all the older Halo games O.O. I definitely need to have the MCC completed by the time Halo 5 drops, though....and Spartan Strike, whenever they release that over the summer :D
Those cortana lines are actually chiefs flashbacks of when he just got kidnapped for Spartan program dr.Halsey said the lines that cortana says in halo 3 cortana moments
Using the top left chaingun I was able to easily kill every enemy as they come and the brutes just hang back letting you shoot them. This got me to under 15 minutes
You used the cowbell skull in this video, does that mean you can go back to the main menu and start up the mission with the cowbell and you don't have to keep the chain of levels going with the same settings?
I know its 3 months later but in case youre still wondering yes you can change and use whatever skulls you want for each level they dont all have to be the same the only exception are skulls that prevent scoring so if the multiplier is 0x00 it will not give you the achievement the only skulls that really do this are skulls like Infinite Ammo / Flying / Arbiters Invisibility / Scarab Gun stuff like that
Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I do the gravity hammer skip and then when I get to the top of the elevator, there is nothing there. The pelican isn't there, no enemies, no dialogue. Did I miss a required loading zone? I did exactly what you did in the video.
I got an invincibility the first time, then the buggers in the tunnel right after took special interest in me and killed me. When I reloaded the checkpoint, he had a flare. I have since restarted the checkpoint 25 times and have yet to get another invincibility.
I keep running into a problem where after the grave hammer jump the level breaks. I get up to where the Pelican and Jump Pack Brutes should be, but there's nothing.
Halo Completionist Lol sorry I just got a little triggered Bc I tried it about 20 times with no success, eventually I watch Naked Eli’s vid and it helped - sorry for getting triggered, I appreciate your channel
This is not a guide he is literally talking over gameplay. When i saw scurties guide of two betrayals it was 70 minutes and he showed how to do the entire level this is not a guide.
vendiblefish I would argue that all guides ever are talking over gameplay...unless the creator doesn't have a mic and just uses text on the screen. Also, this is a speed running guide so naturally it's not 70 minutes long or of similar length. Plus, most people don't want to sit through a 7 minute video, let alone 70. Not sure if you watched the whole thing, but I show and explain how to do all the major speed running tricks in here so I'm not sure what else you'd want. I don't always perform all the known tricks for every level because this series is intended for people to finish within 3 hours, not shoot for world record times. Even if you wanted to go for a world record, if you are new to the speed running scene these guides would be a great place to start. Also, keep in mind that most, if not all of the people attempting speed runs or LASO runs have already completed the game on Legendary. With this in mind it is assumed the viewer already has a general foundation of knowledge regarding the game/level in question. If you have a specific question I could certainly help and constructive criticism is always welcome. Your comment was more general and didn't seem to address anything in particular, though.
vendiblefish Bud I am not sitting through a 70 minute video to do a mission that takes another 25-30 minute mission. If you're trying to break the 3 hour mark you shouldn't just be picking up the game and if you finished the campaign a couple times and you can't follow these guides you might want to start playing brain games or something to strengthen your comprehension.
Man this one was so much easier than S117. Got 16:49 on 3 try where S117 took me 2 hours to even break within the 20 mins mark. Thanks for the guide.
halofornoobs93 You got it :) S117 is probably the toughest aside from The Ark and The Covenant. Those two are just hecka long.

Got 14:50 on sierra 117 though.

Great tip
It worked thanks!
It reaaaally pisses me off that the majority of this challenge is completed not with skill but luck and stupid glitchy level skips .........
be aware the chieftan dose not always have and invincibility he can spawn with a flare
Yeah but he has invincibility always on legendary
Not true. I just did it and got a flare, but just restart checkpoint and eventually he'll have invincibility

I hate that you HAVE to do it in order to get the best time on this.
You shouldn't have to glitch your way to a par time
