Same, since its days it was in a bush of overgrown grass. I check in every now and then when I see an update.

Truly chuffed for you Neil that the 86 after 7 years is near its completion and to have such a tight group of friends to trust and talk to these days with Barry, Jackie, Flip and Reuben it’s is hard to come by. And yes please have other projects ahead.
Im very lucky to have such a good group of mates, loads more misery and fun ahead! Ive got a few more builds Ive been keeping away from the channel until this is finished

I started watching when the AE86 first hit the scene in 1943, we've been through 6 recessions, 5 world wars and 35 popes but by jaysus here we are thriving!

Everyone talks about "OEM+", but this project is what it really means. I'm a "restore it to original" type of guy, but couldn't have more respect for this. Every bit was carefully crafted. I wish I could do this to my own car. Best regards, man, keep it up!

From one car enthusiast to another, even though im all the way in Australia... this hits home like nothing ever.... so proud of you bro..
Now after that nasty split from my ex, finally my life is back on track... my SW20 (original 1991 GT turbo) is sitting in my friends garage calling my name... the motor has finally been finished, assembled by a famous ex TRD group A mechanic... only every worked on 4A and 3S etc.... its time to absolutely smash out the dreams boys.... thank you Neil..... 2024 year of the resurrection of JDM legends!

Neil, I am damn proud to have been a part of your whole journey. I definitely feel the saying that the 86 being something to keep you out of trouble. I can relate to that as it is something that has influenced me for over 10 fucking years, all thanks to you and your build.
It's honestly been the most inspiring car to me, just as Ueo's 86 has been to you, so I couldn't be happier to see you so close to the end. Not to sound too fanboyish, but you and your 86 have really been the game changer for the last few years.

Neil, as someone who bought his AE86 in his very early 20s, owned it for 21yrs, dont worry about the other life things people are doing. just enjoy what you are doing, the other life stuff (houses, partners, kids etc) can come later when you are ready.
Honestly the amount of hard work and craftmanship gone into this little 86 is just so incredible. I feel proud to be so invested into this series and witness the transformation ♥️👊 Thank you Neil for letting us see this through your eyes.

No way it's been that long. INSANE to see how far this thing has come since you found it in the marsh. Every time I watch one of your vids, my interest in cars gets reinvigorated. Here in America, it's about who's got the biggest, fastest engine, and there's just no community like this out here any more. Not to mention the amount of shit people get for driving certain cars... To me, cars have always been about hanging with mates and enjoying what you're driving without it effecting your ego. Love you man, And I am very glad to have been here for the entirety of it.

Thats a shame, here we all get a kick out of any sort of car, it could be American, german or Japanese, I guess being a tiny country without its own car manufacturers, people are into all sorts, I really appreciate the kind words too, Id be lost without having good friends around me who have steered this build in the right direction, the results are better than anything I could have ever imagined

It took me almost 5 years to almost finish my car, so 7 years on this is right on sched. Wish I could do it all over again. Love the car, and all the lads and the enthusiasm you all put into this. Got me feeling now that it's almost over

You don't often think about this, but doing 1 off custom work is actually a thrill for a professional. I'm a landscaper and do mind numbingly repetitive stuff all day, but give me a custom job working from concept renderings and I love it! I'll do all the overtime I can!
My tattoo artist said the same thing when he did my sleeve that we agonised over for nearly 6 months in design. He said its so much better putting 20 hours in a huge custom peice than doing 20 flaming skulls over and over again.

Been watching this channel since first videos of restoration as an inspiring material for my own project car. Seven years passed, and I still don`t have a project car. But I`ve opened my own repair shop to earn some money and have place and tools for build. So my project is yet to come and Juicebox is still great inspiration for me. Cheers!
