well the opposite happened really, many stories from this year and last year where inspired by LoR because it was in the works, so they had the concept of the cards ready so they also expanded the universe before LoR was released. Examples, are the Trundle ,Lulu, Ledros stories and many others. Also Sylas as a champion was inspired by the mageseekers, who where made as Lux followers in LoR. But Riot didn't wait for LoR to be launched, they just made those stories along the production of LoR

Maybe Riven is thinking of the events surrounding the fight differently in her head, likely getting away from the Hunters and getting the upper hand on them.
This is nice how they are expanding the lore so much. The problem could be if the expand it on too many formats: short and long stories, a book, a serie (arcane), legends of runaterra, cinematics, song, etc. They need to update the runaterra Webpage to help mainly new people into the lore to have a sort of guide. A lot of people do not know about Necrit.

In regards to Riven's appearance with the clothes she has, the bit of armor and the black paint around her eyes, it could be her thinking of the different ways the fight could of gone, possibly even including time to get ready for the fight.

I'm pretty sure the Noxkraya Arena is the same as the Reckoner Arena. Reckoner basically meaning gladiator, so similar to how the Colloseum was likely also interchangeably called the Gladiator Arena.
Just to point out that there is a war strategy that is called scorched earth (in czech: strategie zpálené země, kdy země a její vojevůdci ničí své vlastní území namísto toho, aby je předali nepříteli.). Mostly used by Russians by napoleon's effort to conquest Russia. I think it's quite a clever way to combinate real world war strategy with an fantasy world one.

Named cards are reserved for epic(purple) rares, with very few exceptions like Senna(but i think that's her effect is directly related to a champion) . None of them are epic rarity. Maybe in the future. I mean Cithria has 4 cards and her epic unit card has her name.

We never heard of Rahvun or Uzgar before they showed up, and Arrika and Rumul aren't tied to champions except by maybe being acquainted with them.

The design of Lady Henrietta and all the drakehounds are amazing. LoR seems more like a storybook for me.
