Me and my 2 year old daughter loved the video. She learnt Bolski's name and 2 new words: axe and chainsaw 😁.

You so do need that horizontal frame for plank cutting, and a chain for ripping rather than cross cutting, but fair play, the boy done good.

Absolutely! I now have a frame, rip chain and actually a new saw just for milling. Progression 😊 Cheers

That's a good idea that actually works and ideal for where precise measurements are not required. This brought back memories of my grandads house, where he built something similar to store the firewood and the lawn mower out of the rain. Amazing opening shot, just like a pilots eye view from a cockpit.

Wouldn't be much good for making dimensional lumber of course but for quick and dirty it's ideal! Cheers 😊

Why not to make entire roof from wooden planks. It's been widely used older days. When tree is cut right time planks will last two or three decades at least.
Alternative option would be a wooden shingles.
    Hood work anyway.

Not a huge fan of nails to be honest. They've always felt less permanent
