HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 11 окт 2024
- I have been asked dozens of times "how hot does the 2020 Ducati Panigale V2 get when you're riding it? So I ordered a digital thermometer and got to testing the machine while it was idle and after a long ride in road and race mode. You will be surprised with the conclusions! In this video, I take a long ride and you will also get to hear its sweet exhaust sounds while I ride. Watch till the end for my final conclusion!

The bike is designed for racing and track days. My bike(see my user ID) "overheated" and stressed me out on the way home from the dealershop(21 years ago). I got used to it and tried to avoid that kind of riding which of course we all do any way. Not only the cooling but the gearing, flywheel lightness, clutch heaviness, and ergonomics are not really made for in town. All the better when you ride it in it's element. Whoo Hoo!
I test rode a V2 on track for three laps, outside temp 100F and I did not find it any hotter than my Monster 821. The Monster also runs engine temps consistent with the findings you where getting from the V2. I find on hot days, you just need to keep moving. I was totally impressed with the V2 and am considering purchasing in the near future. Thanks for the review.
anytime!
Probably the most important video i watched about Panigale V2....
can't agree more
I want a Ducati but I'm not sure if my hemorrhoids can handle it 🤣
Thank you for all the hard work you put in for this video
Thank you! Nice to be appreciated ☺️
I had to get rid of my 1199 s as my daily driver. It got way to hot for me, honestly. Even on the highway the bike would roast my inner thighs and buttocks. Beautiful bike but not worth it. I ride a 2021 BMW s1000rr and I am in love, with no heat issues at all.
How do the ergos compare? Loved the V2, checking out the S 1000RR this weekend.
Dang… good to know as I’ve been shopping the “RR” too. 😎👍🏼
@@butchhighwayranger4930 mine shows up in 7 weeks. The heat issue just killed me on Ducati. Just a heads up, the shortage is brutal. With Chinese lockdowns again and BMW CEO speaking to the shortage last week they expect this to last until 2024. It's probably going to get tighter than it is very soon. Best of luck!!
When I took delivery of my V2 it was 101 degrees outside. I rode it home from the dealership, and while my butt was nice and toasty I enjoyed all 30 miles and wouldn't change a thing! It adds to the character that is Panigale!! Love my friggin V2! Keep up the interesting content!
excuse me sir , V2 same like before , still very hot of the seat ???
I love my inline four for this. Keep the cylinders far away from me. I'm surprised the seat heat is not a deal breaker for more people.
My old Honda RC51 was a hot ride. Those side mounted radiators kept your knees and crotch area plenty warm.
Picked mine up right during the fall the heat has been fantastic for early mornings and even rides
Interesting to see the temps coming from the rear cyl/clutch/underseat exhaust header. I only seem to notice high temps radiating up from the engine at stops. It definitely heats up idling at lights. By the way Ducati NB is my local dealership...awesome group of people over there to help with all your Ducati needs! Looking forward to the next video.
100% agree with you. Top shelf service and exceptional communication all around. Good place to buy for sure. 🤘
I just bought my V2 and I have driven 10km in the city, it has reached 224.6 F, no heat problem, but you have to drive at low revolutions, not to go on show, Also stop the engine at long traffic lights
its a really bad idea, let the bike roar at the red light. its not gonna help u
Thx for the vid! I’m wanting a V2 but the “heat” comments and no fuel ⛽️ gauge has me researching etc. 🤷🏻♂️ 😎
I am exactly in same boat, also want heated grips 😅
Heated grips and cruise lol control, too! Final call was the purchase of my ‘22 BMW S1000RR and I am loving it. 🔥
In Aus the v2 gets up to 104 (celsius) usually on highway will stay around 80-90, mountains goes from 85-104, traffic is around 95-104, have 1700km on mine currenlty, they still run quiet warm in mountains but it isn't that bad in kevlar jeans. in the mountains you don't really notice it, traffic you do for sure at lights and what not. (i do have a CF exhaust cover). you mainly feel it around ur lower/middle legs and sometimes to the thighs (in traffic)
I’m enjoying the Heat at the moment. Makes Canberra bearable
are u live in sydney?
Thanks for confirming this is not the ideal bike for me in Playa del Carmen, but may be a match in SoCal.
Doesn’t get much hotter then my 2017 R6 on the seat. I can say there was a hot point on the frame bolt were my right leg grips the tank on my inner knee area, not a dealbreaker. I did have a issue with getting the kickstand down, unreachable....had to use my hand lol
The kickstand is the hardest thing to figure out on this bike.. the first time around, I got so frustrated LOL
I rode a v2 in heavy constant stop traffic and summer heat. Once. Never will I ever do that again. Pure torture.
A V2 is not designed for heavy traffic, anything you use it is not designed for will be torture for you.
@@forkom9348 Ive owned more than 50 sportbikes and ridden countless more. Are all bikes hot in traffic? Obviously yes but my 2021 v2 stands alone holding the trophy for hottest.
@@imsatanscott I am only a few days away from buying a Panigale V2 and I have a great concern about the heat, I can cancel the purchase, I will not use it in the city, do you advise me to go ahead with the purchase?
@@forkom9348 there was no aftermarket exhaust available for the bike when I got it so I put termignoni exhaust from my 1199 on it and used heat wrap on the rear pipe. that helped a lot lot lot.
@@imsatanscott thank you
Loved the video! I will buy her one day😍.
I would like to see you review other Ducati models like the supersport. They arent as fast but it would be nice to see.
No problem. Coming right up 👍
I'd have liked to see this too. No matter how bad I want one, the voice of reason says 'TOO FN HOT'. SuperSport is appealing and no doubt will be hot but unbearable?
Mmmm I love the Porsche. And Ducati, of course!
Thanks for the video. I’m heavily considering buying one but the heat has been a factor to consider. You mentioned you are wearing riding jeans. Are your riding jeans thicker or of different denim material than normal jeans? And do you think leathers will help more diffuse the heat. Thanks!
Lol the dog is like "bruh why do we go in this metal thing when you could walk me there"
LOL seriously! 😂
Excellent HEAT review
Thanx.
160 degrees near the shock! Ducati needs to sell special chaps
Will keep it up man!!
Thank you!
I prefer the Panigale V2 over the S1000rr, but in Texas heat this is going to leave my boys hard boiled. A damn shame, I have a few months before I make the buy so we’ll see.
V2 won’t be as much an issue as V4.. just keep moving.. and buy actual riding jeans and as long as your moving you’ll be fine.
What did you decide? Loved the V2 sitting on it (was sold) but the heat is a massive turn off. I'm Going to check the the S 1000RR this weekend.
So how’s the Panigale
I liked that sign in the window lol
Great content!
you're doing a great job. thanks
I like it. Please review 200 or 500 km plus ride video. Hope so video coming soon.. thank you. Ducati is damm beautiful bike.
Overall, the bike runs about the average for most bikes in regards to temperature. The problem with Ducati's is how the engine is part of the frame and basically throws it right under your thighs. For me, that is a deal breaker (as I live in Florida and, after a test ride on a warm day it was just way too much heat for me to comfortably deal with). Other than that, it's an amazing bike to ride; way better value than the V4
Hottest bike I’ve ever ridden as a daily driver
Have you tried riding it in street mode? I have heard that while its in that mode it isn’t that hot
I love my 1299 apart from getting third degree burns on the inside of my right thigh its an awsome bike and the beauty of it I only owe $2000 on it. You enjoy riding your bike more when its almost paid for.
Will, you're awesome!
Thanks Luke! 🙏
If you compare the heat of the V2 with the heat of your 959(with heat shield) which one is hotter?
Also, which one is more comfortable? A V2 standard or 959 with the comfort seat?
V2 is more comfortable and they both have the same engine. I don't think heat will be any different.
thanks for your video men, which camera de you use ? insane quality on that bike
GoPro Hero 8 Black + iPhone XS for everything I shoot on this channel. Once in a while, GoPro MAX 360.
Are used to have a 1098. Lately I’ve been looking at getting back onto a Ducati, I was thinking about an 899 or a 959. I just found out they are renaming and upgrading to the V2. Looks like I might be spending 16 K instead of 10 K
Will nice video. See if you can get a test ride on the new KTM Duke 890R Orange county KTM that would be great.
I didn’t know there was a KTM dealer in OC.. ok will try to do that.. there had been many requests for these.
I'm new KEEP THEM VIDS COMING👍
Awesome! 👍
I need your help so I can have a 2020 r6 and want exchange for a 2023 v2. Considering that I live in Las Vegas where the temperature could get really hot . Do think it is smart decision?
Also, is it reliable enough to do this?
if you had to answer yes or no. Is it possible to use this motorcycle for everyday life in cities like Mexico City? Do you consider that the heat is bearable in these conditions? Thanks and great video.
Definitely not a daily rider.
You guys run bikes on 91? Great videos on the bike, makes me miss living in SD though, it’s not quite as nice here in England!
Yep.. best we have is 91.
PetroHead I guess the bikes must be mapped differently to take account of it 👌🏼 keep up the good videos mate
@@JamiePav in aus we run it on 95 they seem to run better than on 98
Porsche is lit. Thank you :)
You're welcome!
Great video! Could you review Yamaha's sport bikes as well
Problem with testing Japanese bikes is that they are sought after by young kids and dealers are apprehensive to lend out bikes... I am trying but its tough man 😩
For example.. walk into any Porsche dealer and ask for a test ride.. no problem! Walk into a Chevy dealer and ask to ride a 60K Corvette and they'll tell you to get lost. Ducati is easier to get loaners than a cheap Yamaha... its crazy!
Great Bike!! 😀👍👍
do you prefer a ducati v2 over a R6?
Are you asking me? I prefer my R6.. Nothing like revving to 16K RPM and sounding like an F1 car.
I like your video editing. You influence me to open similar RUclips moto vlog channel. Thank you :)
Good luck!
184F while the thermometer says "> 165F is well done for meat...."
keep it up
Why cant they just run that pipe up a different way? Theyve had this issue for so many years. People go so far as to install heat shielding on an aftermarket seat.
Price to pay when owning a Pani
bro ur awesome...!!!!
how much the climate temperature there in celsius
Ran out of oil?
V2 such beautiful true , seat hot true , when u ready own that , need the Accept its temperature 。
Wondering to get the v2 or rs660
55 HP difference and just not the same kind of bikes. I’ll be reviewing the RS660 soon.
Its funny almost every video I’ve watched of this bike, the sole complaint is the heat, then someone does a video specifically about the heat and the consensus is its not that bad. 😂
Also depends on the state it’s being ridden. If I lived in FL or TX I would not ride one (just an example)
Hey buddy!
Not sure why others say different this thing is hot by experience high performance bike tend to do so extract too much hp on the motor.. Lucky your more highway. If you live in a country with most of time 32c above humid with narrow roads slow pace some traffic forget it this will be a nasty experience fried your eggs hurt your wrist worst you wont have a baby. .most people i know sell it asap. Or worst not use it much. Yes its a sexy bike. The only ducati bikes that are tolerable 939 some streetfighters and scramblers. Multi 950 the best
👍
217 degree f.....!!!
Why do some RUclips creators do videos where it's just long-winded rambling? Come up with a script and actually Implement a test for the video for the heat shield. you're just riding around rambling. It's painful to watch.
I did a real world test.. I rode it around and gave feedback as things happened. Stop swiping on IG and ticktock to regain your patience.
@@PetroHead I've never used tik tocks or Instagram. Not even one time.
Idk you’re the only one who complained about this video.. most people found it helpful.. no one else covered Ducati heat issues like I have on this channel.
How about a 95 degree day? Do better Ducati.
HI
I FEEL MY V2 ENGINE AND EXHAUST IS VERY VERY VERY HOT , THE TEMPERATURE ALL WAYS KEEP 102° ~ 125° , I'M AFRAID ONE DAY THE ENGINE AND OIL TANK WILL BE FIRE , SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE .
THANKS
KURURU
Welcome to Ducati ownership.. it’s a ‘hot’ bike 👌
This is so stupid Ducatis are hot and real Ducatistas don't care. I don't care
I don’t think it’s stupid at all. It’s pretty valid people wanna find out if Ducati has made improvements over things people had complaints about such as the heat. As you saw on the test though, it’s not a problem in my area but in places where Kangaroos roam free it might lol 🦘
Ran out of oil...???
I think the fact that someone would refer to themself as a Ducatista pretty much tells us what we need to know, lol.
