Epic Motorcycle Adventures I know right??? Was laughing so hard at how causal and serious he said it.
Also not a whole lot a British Super Bike legends that have highsided a Ducati ina pro race. I absolutely LOVE that 44Teeth have an actual legend on staff with Chris, it shows in his laps and how fast Chris is improving so massively in his trCk riding. Can't beat the. A get either lol

Al delivers the goods with easily the best review of the V2!!! Loved the battle with Neevesy who was clearly trying and great to hear of all the small tweeks that have really made a difference that get glossed over in other reviews. The points Al makes at the end about people being faster on one of these than most litre bikes is spot on and would love to see him do a whole video on the subject. SuperSports improved my riding no end, especially on track and owning a 90s Kwaka 600 was the best investment I ever made in my riding. Truth be told, even today I'd take the V2 over the V4... you can ride them harder for longer and the smaller bikes when well built reward good riding far more than simply relying on HP on the straights to make up for your crappy braking and corner speeds.

it astounds me that we can say someone can "step down" to this bike. I mean this is top liter bike power from only 4-5 years ago. The fact that we have 200bhp+ monsters now is insane (but then again, they can only be reigned in with Electronics nowadays...)

    • @brianbelcher7279
      @brianbelcher7279 11 месяцев назад

Yeah 155 is more than the r1 had in 98 and that was the best all around superbike... Annnddd it was four cylinders. This twin will have more brutal torque down low and still puts out more peak HP. It's fast enough... For ANYBODY on the streets. when I get one and someone asks me "how fast is it?" That's gonna be my answer... "Fast enough ..."

    Great review Al👍
To me, this V2 is now the pick of the bunch from Ducati, enough power, fantastic handling and drop dead good looks 😍! Most people probably wouldn’t go any faster on a V4, could possibly be slower?
I’d rather have this than the V4 , “now with added wings “ ....sounds like a Tena Lady advert!! 😂😂
Besides I’d feel a bit of a nob having a little bimble out for a scone with those black placky wings tacked on the fairing sides, detracts from the V4 rather than adds to it 🤔

44Teeth look forward to your Streetfighter review more than any Statham! 234 hp hypernaked???? 😳 My MT10 could get abbot Roundy at times with a few mass and 60 less hp lol they just took Supernaked to a new level. And we thought the Tuono at 175 was superbike with flat bar! 😉

Ive gone from 848 and upgraded to 1098. I bet when i get my next trackbike, it will be a V2. I just love the "smaller" bikes that ducati make. For people that cant afford the brand new largest horsepower bikes, they are the most fun for the price you can have.

The baby Ducs have always had a cult following, purely because they were more accessible - not just in terms of price, but also the performance. Very rewarding I should think.

I’d love to see you, Fagan, race a stock v4 vs a v2 with an Akra Provich and filter system. I think you could get within a half second maybe equal if given enough time.

A Ducati V2 Street fighter S, that is not over priced, more raw and animal than its new bigger brother, if ever made might just be a sales and riding winner in my books.Up against the Triumph Street 765,
KTM 790, MV Brutale, what a battle that would be👊✊

I have a question, this or the S1000RR as a road bike? I've had my GSX-R1000 K9 from new and wondering if it's time to upgrade to something with the safety net of ABS. I don't really go on track, so more interested in torque/mid range and ease of having fun on the road. Or should I be heading down a different route entirely (Tuono, for example)?

Former K9 1K guy here as well. See that MT-10 for my profile pic? It's there for a reason. Bike is an absolute riot and puts a huge smile on my face every time I ride it. Tourque/mid range for days and much cheaper than a Tuono. Comfort and fun factor will make you forget all abut sportsbikes, trust me.

Wish they did a V2S with the electronics package of the V4S, needs the electronic suspension and more shiny stuff, I would buy one.

Electronics and revised lump dropped in the supersport would be interesting, the SS is a sweet handler too

The ‘baby Panigale is all you’ll ever need.’ This baby won’t soil itself or throw a tantrum like the other kind, and is also a damn sight cheaper and faster.

I picked up a 3000 mile 2017 1299S with the full Corse exhaust system with upmap and the other goodies for 17, 500. New tires too. V2 is nice, but pay a bit more and get the 1299S used.

Is its sorely missing the shift lights from the 899. Very fun to upshift it just right with the peaky engine down a straight.

Take a look over at 650ib's chanel where he puts a V2 and his V4R on the dyno. The V2 has a bit more grunt down low, but anything over 10,000rpm and the V4R just keeps pulling to the stars with it's 16,500rpm limiter.

I thought you really liked the handling of the 959? That's what you said in your review 3 years ago. You mentioned the lean angle issue, but other than that I didnt get the impression that you thought it was "agricultural" back then. What changed?

That was freaking awesome man, i really loved every second of this video. That bike is amazing, it's also a beautiful bike, who needs the v4 for the sake of 3 seconds a lap......unless you are racing professionally, which 99.9 % of us mere mortals don't.
    Superb video. 🤠🏍👍👍👍
