Keep doing what you are doing!!! My kid and I are building his 97 TJ with the 2.5. The project led me to buy myself an 03 TJ with a 4.0. I use your videos all the time, so much that I am starting to get a southern accent!!!
Another job well done! DIYing saves money (usually 😆) and you get to add more tools to the arsenal at the same time. Also, the longer format is perfect for a weekend viewing.
Hey Jon, Just dig in. Yeah, the differential is not for everyone for sure. It is time consuming as well. I see why they cost so much to have them done. Thanks for watching!
Wait! did you actually crush the sleeve with the electric impact gun? Ha the last time I did mine under the vehicle like that, I had to use a huge breaker bar and a floor jack to get the crush sleeve started. I may be on my way to Lowes haha.
@ForceBuilt still got it. Paint flaking and water leaks. I will say thoughmy dealer and Chrysler have been great. Everything fixed under warranty, plus they reimbursed me for some payments.
@@leosky38912 Well that is good of them. Glad they are taking care of you. Leaks in the cabin I am guessing. I had a small issue with my 2016 4 door. I ran extra weather stripping and got it stopped. Jeeps are just that way sometimes is what I heard a lot. Good luck!
Is it bad to reuse the differential fluid for the breakin period if it has less than 100 miles on it? Mines been sitting literally for a full year . I changed the fluid and the fluid maybe has 50 miles use? And I literally just bought new gears a week ago cause I said the gears gotta be changed cause of my new bigger tire size. I don't see why I couldn't reuse it? But then again, this is a serious swap or surgery to my YJ.
I would want to know that it had no metal or contaminants in it. It is safer to use fresh but if you KNOW it is good fluid it will not hurt to use it. The question I would have is why do you have fluid that only has 100 miles on it. If it was from a failing rear end, why chance it. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Nah, i just haven't driven it. Just got my revolution gears today, 4.88s. I opened the box and the front set says it's for a TJ and after when I have a YJ? I just contacted them cause now I am at a stall on this project I had already planned out on a certain day???
And I just read more labels this morning and they sold me a Chrysler 8.25 R&P and matching master overhaul kit??? Now what the hell is going on with that company?

Now that's funny! Good job on getting 2 Jeeps. Thanks for taking the time to watch!

My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Great job! I wish I had the confidence to try something like this.

Yes I did. Just go super slow after it begins to crush. You can overload your pinion really quick. Been there and done that haha. Thanks for watching
Don't ask me about the 2021 Gladiator...😂
Uh oh, What happened?

what gear ratio did you go with
Sorry, I forgot to mention that. I stayed with what I had. 4.88 Gears. This is because I run 32x11/50R15 tires with a 4 banger. Thanks for watching!
