When i saw all those belts i was excited to see what setup you have to produce and consume all that science, then i looked at the minimap, the belts take up more space then the labs or assemblers. Its a pretty row of belts with a nice way of sending it to the labs but there is no way you are producing or comsuming THAT much science with such a small setup. Still kinda cool though.
Interesting... what would you suggest? this was at the end of a 500 gaming session, i had to give it a rest, im a Cracktorio addict, I have 4 train tracks on the other side of the wall, but i will happily move them, i didnt have a chance to test the throughput or maximize the potential, please share. thanx for the comment
playstyles are vastly different in factorio. I often find myself enjoying relaxed sunday rides on my train network or still handcrafting stuff I should have automated 100 hours ago. Or doing just stupid/fun stuff like building a huge fossil power plant to create as much pollution as possible. Also I play on a hard difficulty making the game more extended and even slower. >1000h only in vanilla. The journey is the reward! Nothing worse than _actually_ finishing a factory, lol
@@dukespipes Your labs would have to consume over 20k science per minute if they were to use a constant flow of those belts. I assume your science production doesn't meet anywhere near that though and you just added a bunch of belts for show
@@MCRuCr since its been so long i wonder if you did go back and make a bigger one,,,, this would be my kind of suggestion (not my base, found on reddit, dont remember the spm) steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1619598247032309541/E7AF66A596DAB1E0C6A154473D51F6D0026D3672/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false
There are a few things to improve, for example, prod 3 modules, add more beacons per lab, and also how a full belt is put onto a half belt, which reduces throughput significantly and also unbalances either side of the sciencebelts. Otherwise, cool design, good work!
No productivity modules in the labs??? D:
maybe he just dont care even tho its smater with
Good observation, im a cracktorio addict, i had to walk away from the game, after making this, didnt have a chance to maximize it.
@@rockerravn I care I care! Thanx for the comment.. take care ;)

The amount of joy this brings me is insane
Im happy to hear that.

true engineer speaking
those belts are *_s a t i s f a c t i o n_*
12-beaconed prod3 labs would be a good alternative
Or at least 8 beacons. Without speed and prod, this thing takes less than maybe even half a blue belt
this sensation... THE FACTORY MUST GROW!!!!
gonna steal this belt design my friend, very cool
No stealing allowed! j/k is all open source mon frier! enjoy! thanx for the comment
Small tip: you can use signals to control item throughput on belts. this way you can start the belts in the exact same moment
ups is still double digits, factory needs to grow
I like how some of the beacons only have 1 module or none at all.
no prod 3 in labs just hurts
Inserters can take items from labs to labs, no need to make convoyer that far, prod module in labs and speed module in beacons and its ok
Never heard the term "gigabase" before but this definitely earns it.
What is your blueprint ?
A beautiful sight
The most menacing part is either the width of the belts, or the research speed.
was wandering why it is so slow, then i saw the ups ...
awesome, would you be willing to give me the files of your save so I can explore your factory and get some inspiration for mine ?
500h on one map? Damn
I tried making a video but it was 16 minutes too long, can only post 15 minute videos.
rainbow
So this is why they call the game cracktorio
speed modules in labs instead of productivity? WRONG
psycho :D
