  • For medical professionals. In this video, I have described the main reasons for neonatal infections, risk factors, diagnosis and management and infection control. It is important to remember that strict hand hygiene is the most important measure to prevent infection, and all neonatal units should have clear infection control practices. Parents have a responsibility as well, by taking measures to strictly follow these rules, take extra care while expressing milk and storing (cleaning breast pump etc). Hope this is useful, do subscribe and share, encourage colleagues to subscribe too.

    Sir..... Could you please make some doctor centric videos like this for us practicing neonatology in NICUs.? I know that it would be difficult as I know you are taking much effort in what you do now but still if you could do , it would be highly helpful for us and our patients.Regards DrDileep

      Sridhar K Thanks sir for the reply.I watched a few other videos on topics like pediatric neurology , autism etc. But as I requested if you could make some videos on different topics in neonatology and pediatrics touching the practical aspects it could be useful for practice in NICUs and in peds wards.

    Sir, Is there any common protein or biomarker that can used for point of care based early diagnosis of Sepsis?

      @SridharKs  7 месяцев назад

      CRP and PCT are usually done in the lab. Not sure if any commercial point of care option is available

      Hi, if significant, surgery will be needed. Only your doctor can advise, not sure if steroid cream has been given because there is some irritation there now
