My son who is now 3 weeks old is not passing stool daily it’s alternate days or sometimes on 3 rd day and yesterday he cried while passing stool when I checked stool was big and dry and followed by that loose stool came . He is gaining weight, little irritable sometimes and earlier he is take feed after 1.5 hrs now it’s after 2.5 hrs . Passing lot of wind sometimes smelly. I am bit worried because their is history of megacolon with his elder . But drs are not concerned took him to hospital but since he is gaining weight. Is it always seen that kids who have megacolon will not gain weight .and this infrequent bowel movement is it a sign of that

And went to arrest now we hv done cpr and pt reviewed but during cpr again shock hppnd so how we ll manage post resusitatiion shock

When I consume some food my baby is getting colic, food items like pulses,nuts,black coffee etc.why like this doctor.because of this he is a little bit unsettled during breast feeding. When will it resolve?
It may be related to foods but could occur otherwise as well. Review the other videos on the playlist on colic
Doc, i have a 1month old baby and he gets nursing every hr (sometimes 1 1/2hr) and he spits milk (sometimes vomit) almost every after feeding (even after burping him). Any advice pls 😥

Straining and crying are due to colic, they pass stool along with straining. If stool is soft, it is not related. Review the other factors, avoid overfeeding
Started solids with ragi.but still he is having colic dr.what need to do?
Space feeds well, give water as well

New born baby not sleeping in day and night time.. once she passes urine and motion wakes up... again not continuing the sleep... baby sleeping min 8 hours per day... it will affect any brain development or else this is normal...
While sleeping also baby not feeling conformable always makes sound and shakes body....
Hi, sleep pattern is very varied, and it is possible your baby is having some colic (around 3 weeks old I guess). Try to avoid overfeeding, keep head end of the bed slightly elevated. The pattern gets better with time, baby's development won't suffer, don't be anxious. But avoid too frequent handling, consider using a car seat or bouncer chair to settle the baby during the day

Ultimately we refer pt to higher center
No one is teaching dis topic and noone is intrested although but it increse mortality
Unfortunately, viral encephalitis is still a scourge, and once this picture emerges, prognosis is poor. Focus on public health measures (prevention-anti mosquito measures, jap B encephalitis vaccination etc) are very important to educate and propagate message

@@paediatricspotcases5220 it’s more supportive care, as brain damage is severe already once they have seizures. Some lucky ones recover, while others die or have sequel. We used to see a lot of this while training in Pondicherry.
