Yes! Been using this for years on different stains. First tried it over 15 years ago when my youngest decided to draw circles on his room carpet with a crayon lol. Scrubbed it with a lil water and a few repeat scrubs then voila’!

Ive been using dawn for several years to do laundry. Cleans out dirt and grease. Be nice if sometime they make dawn laundry detergent that will also remove stains
They never will...it is owned by Procter & Gamble who makes Tide and about 50% of the laundry detergents on the market...they have the technology to make those laundry detergents actually effective but they won't....profits over all
Are you aware there is animal fat in fabric softener. People want their bath towels soft and will add just a little extra softener then wonder why the towels do not dry off the body. Fabric softener will also waterproof the fabric. Use plain vinegar for fabric softener.
I've been using dawn ...for years...I make my own cleaner....with my glass sprayer...and I occasionally bathe my precious dog in it on his underside....I buy the biggest one I can and it last me forever....thank you Pam for your videos and a shout out to dawn ...for being a phenomenal product.❤
I LOVE Blue Dawn! I use it for EVERYTHING! My shower, bath, sinks. I have three spray bottles with Dawn, vinegar, and water, in different rooms along with cleaning cloths so I’m always ready to go.
Also you can use it to unclog your toilet. Put about a 1/2 cup in, wait for about an hour than take a bucket of hot water and it should be good to go. ❤️
Oil painter here! Blue dawn dish soap is what I like to use to remove paint from my brushes, tools, floor, clothes, etc. It works WONDERS! (only with oil- i’m not sure about acrylic since it’s plastic) I never bother buying expensive brush cleaners or brush bars.
I once took in a stray cat and her kittens. The kittens had fleas but too young for normal flea treatment. So I called the vet and they told me that I could wash them in blue Dawn. Also blue Dawn mixed with hydrogen peroxide can get rid of stains in carpets, even old stains! It honestly is useful in so many ways, I always have some at home.
A squirt bottle filled with half Dawn and half vinegar makes a great sink and toilet scrub. One part Dawn to two parts warm water makes an excellent foaming soap refill. I love Dawn!
When I had my bathtub reglazed, the guy told me to wash the tub with Dawn and hot water, only, or I would risk ruining the new glaze. It takes a little extra elbow grease, but it looks pretty good when I’m finished!
Mix it with vinegar and spray it all over the tub and shower walls, let it sit 20 mins no elbow grease required. Stinks lol but smell goes away a bit after rinsing.
@@midniterose7193 I do this, but I have a fan vent that pulls away nasty odors. A regular fan helps to disperse them, too. Even without either, it is worth a brief vinegar smell, because it really does work!

That mixture is what I used to clean soap scum off of shower glass. I turned on the bathroom fan because the vinegar was so strong but after letting it sit for 10 minutes I was able to go in and scrub that glass perfectly clean. I also used it where sprinklers had left a white film on the outside basement windows.

I rescue and foster all kinds of animals and a bath is the first thing that has to be done with a new arrival. Dawn is the best thing to use because it not only cuts the dirt and grease in fur and feathers, it also kills fleas and mites and is still gentle on even a baby animal’s skin. Rescue workers use it on mammals and birds when there has been an oil spill or similar environmental disaster. I have also used it to wash my car, clean the lawn mower and gardening tools, my son’s toys, etc. Dawn is basically indispensable!
I have extremely severe asthma, and many cleaners aggrevate it. I use blue dawn for everything! Besides in the kitchen, I scrub my bathtub with it, i scrub down my cats litter boxes and guinea pig cage with it, ive cleaned my makeup brushes with it, and used it on laundry stains. And its great for bathing dogs and cats that have fleas. It suffocates the fleas. I use it to wash out my horses' water pails and to clean their brushes. My horse cut her leg one time, and I would use the green antibacterial dawn to clean the wound daily. Ive seen other vets also use the green dawn to scrub down an animal's surgical area. I saw it specifically on a cow with a displaced abomasum (twisted stomach). They used the green dawn to scrub the side of her belly before making the incision. I absolutely love all dawn soap! I also have a friend that literally bathes with blue dawn. He washes his hair and body with it.
RECIPE: 1 cup of baking soda 1/3 cup of dawn 1 tbsp of water >> It's wonderful cleaning the tub sinks and toilets when mixed with simply baking soda and water. It will create a paste and a little goes a LONNNGGGG WAY. I also use it to scrub the grime from the oven and stovetops too! When you are finished store the rest in a container and you're good to go! It gets stuff like coffee stains out the sink too!
I just tried Dawn with cleaning my makeup brushes! And it cleaned them so well they look like they did when I bought them. Dawn actually cleans them better than the brush cleaner that I bought!
If the lenses on your glasses are coated in anti-fog, anti-rain, or anti-oil coating, washing them with dish soap will smudge the coating and it will take several hundred washes to correct the problem. I learned this the hard way.
You can also use dawn to get rid of fleas on your pets to but you have to make sure you rinsed it completely off of the pet or otherwise your pet will get irritated skin and get sick..

I use Blue Dawn on shirts if I get grease on them. Put dawn on the spot, let it soak in and work on the grease, let dry, and see if it is out. If not out repeat. When with stain is out, Rinse the dawn out and wash as normal in the washing machine.
Add about 8 to 10 drops of peppermint essential oil and that will send bugs like ants and roaches packing....use it when you clean your kitchen or spray it where you see a bug problem

I wash floors, walls, and windows. It's my bathroom cleaner and laundry spot remover. My husband is a mechanic. He uses Dawn Powerwash in engine bays and for cleaning rims. He also uses Dawn in his powerwasher to wash down the siding, garage floor, and patio. It's a wonderful cleaning product.
Thank you!! it will also remove capsaicin from you. If you get burned by putting on too much caps, you can wash in that and it will take down the sting and burn by removing the oils.
I have another little known use for blue dawn. I am a metal jewelry artist and I use raw copper, brass, sterling silver and a bit of fine silver to make my pieces. Once the jewelry is finished I put it into a rock tumbler with a special stainless steel shot and put it through a two hour tumble. Dawn is used to clean, polish and harden the final product. I find it works very well as it has the right ph.

Also amazing to cut grease in the garbage disposal and sink pipe. Run the disposal with cold water to get rid of food particles. Turn off both, then generously squirt blue Dawn all around the opening. Begin running hot water and the garbage disposal You will see the soap bubbles go through the garbage disposal and then come up into the sink, cleaning out the pipes. Finish up by running the hot water for several seconds after turning off the disposal, then run the cold water for a minute or two to cool off the disposal.
It kills fleas INSTANTLY. Also, a mixture of Karo corn syrup, ammonia, blue dawn and a can of any beer sprayed on your lawn and you will have the greenest, prettiest lawn on the block.(also, add a gal. of water to that mixture)
I'm just guessing here, but I think it's because it's the original formula, whereas some of the other Dawn's are not formulated the same way, and won't have the same affect.
I'd love to know too. I thought the Platinum formula was the best? ( which it is blue too, but not the original formula). I hope Pam answers. Also, why is good for an ice pack?
I used to use Dawn on my eye glasses but it ruined the finish on one lens. When I asked why, the optometrist asked what I cleaned with. She said Dawn is too strong and it would be best not used on eye glasses. It did work so well, though.
I always have a spray bottle of dawn mixed with vinegar, but no water. Very handy. Even pet accidents on the carpet. Never has damaged the carpet for me. Dawn is the only dish soap I buy.
You can get away with using less vinegar and dawn and still have a great cleaner. I use 1 cup vinegar to 2 cups water (warm initially when mixing up a new bottle) and a squirt of Dawn. Still works great and removes even the yellowish stains from cat puke from my carpet! 😊
My family have been using original blue Dawn since I was 9 years old. We have tried other scents of the Dawn but always go back to the blue Dawn. It along with salt/ vinegar / ground egg shells and baking soda is all you need to clean your whole house garage floors and vehicles even camping gear. Dawn easily cuts through the dark soot on the outside of camp pots.

That's all I use, but the Dawn Powerwash spray is 3x as strong. That stuff is amazing

It can break up the hair and soap clogs in your tub drain too. My plumber told me to occasionally pour some down the tub drain with some hot water.

Unless you have a tree growing roots in your plumbing. But, yeah. It is great for that.

You missed wasp killer. Mixing with water , pour into a adjustable spray bottle. Spray wasps and nest .

It's also the best spot cleaner on almost any laundry! Idk about fancy stuff, I don't have fancy stuff lol I'm too messy and have pets.

I use dawn and 91% rubbing alcohol to clean my kitchen. It leaves no streaks on my granite or stove. Dawn is the good stuff lol.

I would try a bit of rubbing alcohol first and a microfiber cloth to gently wipe the fingerprints away. My kids are always leaving prints everywhere 😅

Thank you!! it will also remove capsaicin from you. If you get burned by putting on too much caps, you can wash in that and it will take down the sting and burn by removing the oils.
I knew a hairstyles that wash his clients hair with Dawn back in 80's
It can be mixed with your shampoo when you need to clarify your hair a little dab will do though
I have another little known use for blue dawn.
I am a metal jewelry artist and I use raw copper, brass, sterling silver and a bit of fine silver to make my pieces.
Once the jewelry is finished I put it into a rock tumbler with a special stainless steel shot and put it through a two hour tumble. Dawn is used to clean, polish and harden the final product.
I find it works very well as it has the right ph.

It's also good to remove oil stain from clothes or to pre-treat stains in your clothes.
Also amazing to cut grease in the garbage disposal and sink pipe. Run the disposal with cold water to get rid of food particles. Turn off both, then generously squirt blue Dawn all around the opening. Begin running hot water and the garbage disposal You will see the soap bubbles go through the garbage disposal and then come up into the sink, cleaning out the pipes. Finish up by running the hot water for several seconds after turning off the disposal, then run the cold water for a minute or two to cool off the disposal.

It kills fleas INSTANTLY. Also, a mixture of Karo corn syrup, ammonia, blue dawn and a can of any beer sprayed on your lawn and you will have the greenest, prettiest lawn on the block.(also, add a gal. of water to that mixture)

Ok but why specifically blue Dawn and no other color?
I'm just guessing here, but I think it's because it's the original formula, whereas some of the other Dawn's are not formulated the same way, and won't have the same affect.
I'd love to know too. I thought the Platinum formula was the best? ( which it is blue too, but not the original formula). I hope Pam answers. Also, why is good for an ice pack?

Blue Dawn is totally awesome.
I used to use Dawn on my eye glasses but it ruined the finish on one lens. When I asked why, the optometrist asked what I cleaned with. She said Dawn is too strong and it would be best not used on eye glasses. It did work so well, though.
@kl4888 I use liquid hand soap (not antibacterial) to wash my eyeglasses, making sure to rinse it off quickly and thoroughly. Works like a charm.
I always have a spray bottle of dawn mixed with vinegar, but no water. Very handy. Even pet accidents on the carpet. Never has damaged the carpet for me. Dawn is the only dish soap I buy.
You can get away with using less vinegar and dawn and still have a great cleaner.
I use 1 cup vinegar to 2 cups water (warm initially when mixing up a new bottle) and a squirt of Dawn. Still works great and removes even the yellowish stains from cat puke from my carpet! 😊

Blue Dawn is Life.
My family have been using original blue Dawn since I was 9 years old. We have tried other scents of the Dawn but always go back to the blue Dawn. It along with salt/ vinegar / ground egg shells and baking soda is all you need to clean your whole house garage floors and vehicles even camping gear. Dawn easily cuts through the dark soot on the outside of camp pots.
