Hybrid Training is already impressive, thing that brought me to your channel. Stack night shifts as a doc, keep killing it man!
Really awesome video. Super inspiring seeing you juggle and succeed at such meaningful activities. Loving your videos!
Great video. You inspire me so hard, I'm just lost for words, really. Honestly, I'd like to see more videos about your life, not including your training and also videos about nutrition and everything you can share with all of us about YOUR nutrition.
Thanks s lot ❤❤❤
solid channel, subbed
inspirational!!!!!!!
Another awesome video Andrew! I just completed my first marathon in Canberra, Australia yesterday.
Enjoy the internal mental battle, enjoy the runner's high but above all have fun when you do yours! :)
Congrats! Well done you, reading this message after having finished my marathon I really appreciate what a mental battle they truly are 😂 hope you’ve managed to recover ok and aren’t feeling too stiff, don’t think I’ll be walking right for another few days
Huge congrats on 3:27 time. I did it last year in 4:43, was a great day. Enjoy the post run nutrition!!!
Post run nutrition was a big highlight 😂
Great video! I graduate from nursing school in May and will enter the workforce afterwards. Still trying to wrap my mind around fitting in running and strength training between 12 hour shifts. Glad to see it can be done though!
Wow that’s brilliant! It took me a while of getting used to night shifts before I started trying to exercise between them. They’re not always the most productive sessions but at least getting some exercise in makes you feel a little more human. Good luck with your nursing I hope you love it!
A little tip for your starter, it does'nt seem very bubbly. I would suggest feeding it twice a day for a week or two and you'll see a lot more bubbles and more spring in your bread. There a plenty of sourdough discard recipes too, like pancakes, muffins, cookies, etc. Enjoy! :) Love you videos, very authentic.
Interesting I haven’t looked into the discard recipes but will do seems like such a waste each time I feed
think my ED has a clone of you here in cambridge, subbed 🍺
really wish you luck on your run. Missing running so much! GOT AVN in both hips at 32 which sucked!
Can confirm I’ve never worked in Cambridge (applied to the uni but got rejected haha) That’s tough man, hope you’ve been able to find a way to workout you enjoy despite that, and thanks for the support 👊🏼
In one of your videos you mentioned that you were a doctor, and I thought you were being facetious. Now I see that you are actually a doctor! Super inspiring!
Haha really? glad I made this video then 😂 - thanks for the support 👊🏼
Do you take any vitamins etc ? Curious to see your take on them.
Looking forward for your next upload!
I have to admire you working in a&e! How do you deal with that stress and pressure? Any time I have been to a&e I was stressed out from just watching the chaos haha.
Hahaha there certainly is an adjustment period 🤦🏻
Love to be able to make my own sourdough bread
Hi Andrew, just wondering if you can confirm for me, your lifting routine is all compound movements, no curls, lateral raises, etc? I am debating doing only compounds and want to be sure I’m hearing you right. Thanks!
Yeah dude that’s right - if I had more time I probably would do more isolation stuff like lateral raises and curls - but you can build decent shoulders and arms without them and they’re certainly not necessary if strength is your goal. Never going to be a bodybuilder training like me, but what you see in my videos is all I’m doing week to week in the gym and I find it just gives me the most in return for the hour I’m willing to spend in the gym a few times a week 👍🏼
Feed the starter with rye or whole wheat, not white flour! Better for a robust starter.
Interesting, do you still go on to make your loaf with predominantly white flour despite having a rye/whole wheat starter?
@@AndrewRussellFitness I like to work with whole wheat, but yes you can use it for the starter and then make a white loaf. Also, I am talking about the starter, not the levain. The levain I like to either use 100% whole grain or 50/50. I used to work in a wheat quality lab and we exclusively used rye for our starters.
