@@TurpTesta Thanks! It definitely doesn't get as much attention as amps like the Crate GX130C or Ampeg VH140C but it's right up there with them in my opinion.
I like to put the contour nearer to 10 and the presence pretty low. With the contour near 10 it sounds decent turning the tone on the SD-1 up a bit. I also use to put the contour on 6 and the gain on 6 live believe it or not. A also like to put a 6 band EQ in the effects loop with the classic Metallica scoop with the contour on about 6-7
@@jcalzada74 🥷🥷 Sorry bro, it's a pretty cool amp though. I would not be surprised to find out that Crate built these for Fender, haha. Not at all suggesting they did but it is VERY similar to the GX amps.
@low_e_music I think they are closer to the Ampeg I know they are similar to the crate 130c but I have both and the Ampeg win next on my list are this amps fender m80, El Diablo genz benz and the peavey special 212
@@jcalzada74 The GX130C is significantly darker than the M80 and has a different character. I tried them both back to back. The M80 is closer to the GX600 that I used to have, very close in fact. All good amps you mention too!
The carpet era was a beautiful thing.
@@tbirdpunk Haha, indeed!
Can't say I'm familiar with this amp, but it sounds awesome!

Here it is! Nice and crunchy
@@lovecraftmusic8717 Thanks! Yes, it can get quite chunky for sure.

@@zyxwfish I will have to give that a try. The top end can get out of hand pretty easily. Maybe the 10 band eq in the loop will fix that.
@low_e_music yeah i heard that a lot some say you need to put a bbe exciter on the effects loop
@@jcalzada74 I think the low end is pretty decent actually. It's tight and not overpowering.
@@jcalzada74I use a BBE sonic stomp but a 6 band EQ sounds less harsh.
I see that you got my amp 😂😂😂😂

THis is making wonder if I should try to dig out my Fender R.A.D from that era and throw the Boss Blues Driver in front of it.....🤔
@@jeffpettit3119 Go for it!
Well how bad is the fizzy sound? I mean there is this whole style of music called Grunge that is basically all fizz and chords.
@@DaveElectric It can get pretty crazy with extreme settings, almost like a hi-fi type fiz. I guess it might work well for a grunge tone.
