Thank you for this phenomenal review . I now know this is a worthy investment due to the lack of nonsense associated with the great playing in this video. I look forward to more gear reviews in the future.
I think maybe I went too extreme for the direct recording maybe? But I also run an out to a monitor so I can hear what I’m doing, and through that, I really really enjoyed this pedal tbh.
I think it would be legit fun to have on an otherwise very serious board lol. Or to record something either very heavy or very deep and meaningful. The contrast of sound and aesthetic is just fun! 😁. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed!
@claytonjones705 thank you, I did enjoy. I would agree. I would love to have this pedal on a worship guitar board just for fun! Really on any board. Could you imagine capturing board pics of your favorite artists’ rig and this pedal is on there? lol that would be golden.
No way this isn’t going to end up on a worship board, somewhere,I believe 😂 Also, I’d love to see this on a “vintage pedals” board in the future. Or watch a Mastodon rig rundown and get a glimpse of it there.
Thanks for the great demo. How does it handle rolling back the tone a bit on the higher end of the fuzz setting? Thinking if it just rolls off treble a bit or if it becomes a muddy mess.
It does get pretty thick with the tone rolled back. I’d probably stick to long drawn out single notes or very separated chords. Basically keeping the tempo slow would work better with the tone rolled back lol. Thanks for watching!!
How did you record this? It sounds like you just used the raw signal without a cab sim or an actual cab in it. It's missing the natural round off that a cab would provide, making it sound very rough and muddy. I think the best tonal comparision would be to play music at like 100dB on a speaker that is designed to only manage 20dB, blasting it away. Seeing how you like the pedal, I'm quite convinced that it didn't sound like this live. I think there must be an issue with your recording setup instead.
Hey thanks for watching and asking! I used a Helix with the 65 deluxe style model but with a 2x12 IR rather than the standard 1x12. It was a setup I’d used previously with pretty good success but I could see where this might have been a little too big or boomy for this pedal in retrospect. This is my first go around at a pedal demo so we are definitely still working out the kinks. There’s an overdrive video dropping Friday that works way better with this same configuration. Please do check it out and let me know what you think! I welcome the feedback!
It's called the Super Fuzz. Bought it and don't like it. Then bought a Boss FZ-5. I like it better, one of the settings sounds just like the Super Fuzz but a tad better. The boost in the Behringer is fine, idk if it's my pedal or they all sound that way but the boost sux.
It was always just going to be a reskinned existing fuzz. It is very lame of them to charge an extra 20 bucks though despite it having less versatility than the original.
Hammertone uses 2 silicone transistors. Hello kitty is op amp. They aren’t even remotely similar and you can hear the difference in person. Hello kitty sounds closer to the op amp version of the big muff
I agree that this does give off op amp big muff vibes, tonally speaking. I think between how gnarly it sounds contrasted with the aesthetic, it’s just fun to throw on a board tbh lol
Nothing hits harder that a pink nightmare machine love this pedal . I must own it lol
It is Japanese. I live in Hiroshima and know the language. It says from top to bottom "sound coloring" "fuzz" and "sound volume"
Love this comment! Thank you!!
pedal demo @4:00
Thank you for that! I forgot to throw a time stamp in the description but I’ll add that right away.
Also thanks for watching!

This was my first pedal review, so I’ve got some work to do, still. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
I have everything Hello kitty and love it 🥰
Great review 🎉
With all the EQs @ 5 it sounded pretty good to me.
I love fuzzes like this
I’ve got this fuzz and it’s actually really good! I’ve got it beside my Tone Bender by Soldano and It can hold its own! I was shocked!
I think maybe I went too extreme for the direct recording maybe? But I also run an out to a monitor so I can hear what I’m doing, and through that, I really really enjoyed this pedal tbh.
It’s adorable.

@claytonjones705 That would be so sick!

Use headphones, because there's not a phone in existence with a speaker that will make a fuzz sound like it should.
i ordered mine.
Just a Hammertone fuzz without the octave switch. We really judge sounds with our eyes :p
Great playing 👍
Thank you and thanks for watching!!
As a middle aged god loving Christian , I love Sanrio and I love creeping people out. Amen
Good humour!😂
Middle-aged, God loving Christian? What?! Really?! Yeah...... me too. 😎
Nobody bought this pedal until they put a pink graphic on it😂😂
So its a gated fuzz....i feel like there are alot of velcro fuzz options that arent stupid looking...lol
I scored one of the white ones before they sold out. SUCK IT!!!!!
The white one is like the black hello kitty guitar… it isn’t pink! 😛😀😛
the pedal looks soooo goood but the sound aint for me...
Swollen Pickle is much better
Not surprising, and people knock Demonfx...lol
Sounds atrocious to me!! I'm not a big fuzz fan generally, but this one definitely sounds worst than most for my tastes.
First im wondering why "fuzz on 5"... then he turned it up...OMG what a disasterous mess. Hello Kitty took a crap on the couch!
Does it Doom?
Plays blues pentatonic scales.
Seems legit. 😅
In my defense I wanted to run it through its paces first lol BUT…. Valid point regardless 😂. Appreciate you watching!!
$30 Orange Behringer Fuzz pedal is waayyyy better..just saying..😂

I meant to say the boost on the FZ-5 sux for the record.
Please just make it stop...
It's obviously just the Hammertone fuzz without the octave switch - sounds exactly the same - very lame "new product release" to be honest
It was always just going to be a reskinned existing fuzz.

This is a joke right? Please tell me it is just a joke...
Wait the video or the pedal? This is my first pedal demo, so I’m certainly open to suggestions for improvement. Appreciate you watching!
Overpriced gimmicky money grab for those in the Hello Kitty and Fender lifestyle LOL. 😄
yup sounds like a crappy fuzz pedal nice try fender
