I think this is my favorite of the new album so far. Ian Gillan is pushing 80 and he sounds like he did 50 years ago. Nothing like watching a bunch of pros do their thing. Thanks guys.
The Morse years with Deep Purple were an awesome journey. Many experimental sounds n styles leaning more towards the progressive side often. But with their last original album with Morse called Whoosh! I thought they were already returning to the classic style sound we are hearing now. The New album should be fun!
Yup, gotta listen to DP with Steve Morse. He brought his own uniqueness to DP’s sound. I especially enjoyed the “Whoosh” and “What Now” albums with him.
The song does have a great distinct DP sound to it but that also includes sounding like something one of their former singers David Coverdale has done before, i.e. part of the chorus + guitar riff is basically Whitesnake's "Fool for Your Loving". Also, it seems like Paice has some modern editing techniques to thank for creating the illusion he's actually doing any proper drum work at all. But - for a band of nearly octogenarians - it's still rather impressive and I enjoy it!
Classic, vintage sounding Purple! First three singles are excellent! Their best album in years. Here's an Avenged Sevenfold Track with more of a slower classic rock feel for Dave to try, Dear God. ruclips.net/video/mzX0rhF8buo/видео.html

Are you hearing Fool For Your lovin?
Dave doesn't know many Whitesnake songs but that being said we listened to both and he definitely hears similarities!
I’d wish the Gallaghers would reach to that age together 😢
