True but the early fist lineup was not the best or most famous. The mark 2 lineup with most of their best songs are with 3 members here.

As a number one Purple fan i'll say you'll have a lot to cover.
I would day, Child in Time is a must and probably the best song they've ever written in my personal opinion.
You should also check 'Concerto for Group and Orchestra', a classical/rock piece written by their original Hammond player Jon Lord (who sadly passed away back in 2012).
Other interesting Deep cuts in my opinion are:
    - April.
    - Solitaire.
    - Hell to Pay.
    - Sometimes i Feel Like Screaming.
    - Rat Bat Blue.
    - Gettin' Tigther.
    - A Gypsy's Kiss.
    - Mandrake Root.
Covers they did from other artists(that are interesting):
    - Hey Joe.
    - Kentucky Woman.
    - River Deep, Mountain High.
    - Help.
    - Prelude: Happiness.

Don Airey has been playing keyboards since 2004? I think. Simon McBride is the new guitar player - he played on some of the singer's solo stuff and came in after Steve Morse (there since 1996) left the band due to his wife's illness

Listen to "Made in Japan" 1972. They sold 100 million copies.
