The sweetest, purest bluesman ever. Instantly recognisable from just one note. His music has saved lives - literally - mine included. A beautiful human being.
The horn player was Calvin Owens a very talented and kind man who was BB King's musical directior for many years and a band leader in Houston. I met him at a Big Band college clinic where he gave me some good advice.
Ooh my God just so beautiful this intro. Man it's like how can it get any better than this. Makes you give yourself a talking to and reflect on your life. And that's what we all need to do often. If you got play this so you can do it yhen turn B.B. on once a day. Get you a dose.
One of my favourite YT moments. Partially because I get to relive the privilege of having seen these legends twice in 1982. I say 'these' porposely - so many people forget the contibution of the band when they accompany a true legend. What a show they all put on for us. Life is to be lived, but sometimes you really appreciate the fact that someone has captured a 'moment' forever.
This man is such a huge part of my soul in music. My father introduced me to BB King at an early age.. he is a major part of my dad and I relationship. The blues would not be as big if it weren’t for BB
BB king was the real example of OF A HUMAN BEING HIMSELF I LOVE HIM SO MUCH AND METALLICA AND EDDY VAN HALEN ❤️ AND LES CLAYPOOL AND FLEE WEN I GET TO HEAVEN THATS ALL I WANT TO DO IS JAM TILL OUR SPIRITS BLEED OUT OUR FINGERS
one of the last shows BB was sceduled to do was here in fort wayne the day of the show they cancelled and said he was ill, and as everyone knows he never made it back out on the road..he will be missed so much here but i'm sure hes up there playing with SRV and Albert King just to name a few.
Estoy seguro que tus grandes melodias, llenas de emocion y pasion, seguiran sonando en algun lugar del Universo y en nuestros corazones... Gracias B.B. King...
He had to touch people everywhere he performed maybe change some of there life by just being in his presence... He would give himself completely 100% and you can tell by his playing
Ain’t nobody that can play the blues like the King!
What happened to the music industry nothing today can compare.
The sweetest, purest bluesman ever. Instantly recognisable from just one note. His music has saved lives - literally - mine included. A beautiful human being.
That horn to B.B. King has got to be one of the best trade-off soloing exchanges in music history. OMG.

He is absolutely on fire here. Rest in peace with the angels, BB.
Yes sir!!!!
He might have been at his peak here. He does not get enough credit for his vocal talents. These are equally as good as his guitar chops.

I cannot explain in words how much this song makes me truly feel. Such a blessing of musical genius.
This makes me just want to climb inside the music and be part of it. There aren't enough superlatives to describe it. Thank you.
I love B.B. covering this Willie Nelson song.
great trumpet solo as well!

If I didn’t know better, I could believe Willie Nelson wrote this song specifically for B.B. King.
