I lived in Poole for 30 years, Shore Road, and the beaches were my playground. I had a 30-foot yacht moored in the harbor off Evening Hill until one day a storm dragged it off its mooring and damaged it. I was a resident DJ at both the Sandbanks Hotel and Haven Hotel I was buddies with the owner Paul Butterworth. My friend owned the Scandinavian-designed house Pieces Of Eight complete with an indoor swimming pool, those were the days in the mid-60s Sandbanks was not so developed. We had a beach hut next to the Pavilion there was no problem with parking. John Lennon was a visitor to Sandbanks as his aunt Mimi owned a bungalow not far from the Ferry. I used to sail my yacht to Old Harry Rocks bay drop anchor go ashore with the tender and go horse riding on top of the cliffs at Old Harry. Just watching your videos brought back all the memories, especially Shore Road beach where we would hang out. Times they are a Changin. Thanks for the memories.
Harry rednap moved up the road to Canford cliffs in 2018.The house with the piano gates was owned by jamiroquai. The house with the nameplate IMAGINE was originally a bungalow that John Lennon bought for his aunt Mimi.Great to see a vid of sandbanks.
That’s super helpful and interesting. Thanks so much! 👍
@@explorizmtv Thankyou for the reply👍

I had an old school friend who lived on hat road you turn into first, and we used ro have a sailing boat moored up at the marina.
I think having the narration works definitely it’s finding a balance in my opinion to not over talking for the sake of it and points of interest which you did really well
love the appreciation for the little GR yaris, love those things 😍
Great Video 😊
Hello my friend we hope all is well thank you for sharing the wonderful houses in Sandbanks we can all dream my friend and one day we will own a house there haha in the mean time we just want to take this opportunity to say welcome to the Family you have gained a new friend. Stay safe Love and Light Sarah and Glenn
Thank you very much… I’ll be sure to come over and take a look! Stay Safe 🙂
Yes. I live in Poole. Sandbanks is beautiful but very expensive.
Panorama Road is where John Lennon had a room there in his Aunt Mimi's bungalow and would stay from time to time, going out with a neighbour on his boat, including boating up the River Frome to the Quay, Wareham and eat at The Old Granary.
It is said he started writing part of the 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' song (later finished by Paul McCartney) when returning downstream from Wareham and being chased by Beatles fans running along the riverbank!
Very interesting 👍🙂
The house with the wooden gates sold for 15 million actually is 2 houses as it has a 4 bed lodge at the entrance was once owned by Harry Rednap but sold it for a smaller house just a bit further up then sold that and lives in Canford Cliffs where he has a lot of problems with neighbours and the council. Jamie also moved on his divorce at the same time.
You forgot about gazza. My mate who was a taxi driver use to have to carry him in when he was legless. He use to buy his rizal off Boscombe market to smoke his weed. Good luck to him as he seems to be a bit better now I think
Impressed you knew about the GR Yaris. A fellow petrolhead :P
Yeah it’s cool little motor! Real shame engines are to be a thing of the past. Thanks for watching 👍
5:11 Walked past my house, on your right
❤
Amazing to think those very expensive houses will all be under water in 100 years, just don't tell the Redknapps😀😀
Yeah, I often wonder that!
Thanks for the vid. I occasionally stay on panarama road. It’s where u spend my summers.
Hope you didn’t have the experimental jab mate
A flat 1.7 million 2 bed starting point and those at the end of your video further in (ferry) can be 3 million +
I cared for Celia Sawyers father when he was in a home. She was lovely when she came in!
Hey, thats really cool! I saw her getting fish and chips at Rick Steins!
Which was your favourite house?
The Rednaps of course 😃
@@explorizmtv 😂
I Live near here, the video is a nice idea, but you could definitely have show more of the houses on both sides of the road, nice try!
I do plan on making an updated video here in the future. 👍
Nice houses but if I had that kind of wealth, I'd want to be as far away from the peasants as possible.
Thanks for watching
@@explorizmtv Thx for uploading. I find these walk arounds interesting. Once you have built up a base of subs (making it worth the effort), you could do a UK road trip exploring the high streets. Bald did it recently but he only visited a few places
I think max Bygrave used to live in sandbanks a few years ago obviously he's dead now
John Lennon bought his Aunt Mimi somewhere around there
Would be cool to know which one 😀
@@explorizmtv It was a bungalow. Its been knocked down now and something else built on the plot.
10 minutes in and still waiting to see what is worth £1M😑
It was Harry Rednaps house that sold for £10m
@@explorizmtv I am aware his home was sold for £10M. But you said house prizes can range from £1M - £10M. I just don't see why anyone would pay £1M for what I am viewing. Compared to those prizes in other countries in the developed world, you can get a mansion with lawn space. Perhaps proximity to the beach is why it's the top 5 most expensive in the world.
@@kaxar6954 What you are not seeing from the road at the front of the houses is their location. Many are facing the harbour with boat docks or facing the sea and it is that location that pushes the price up. If you live away from that specific place, property prices drop to an average for a detached house of £629,000.
