I'd make the bathroom/shower window a one way window so you can see out but nobody can see in that way you can have the view of the water while in the shower ❤️

Yea buy it, close to beach but far enough away without the wall and when not useing it, you can rent out, the months your not there. If you want to. I use to live in a beach state loved it, still miss it.

Sandbanks is literally a 20 min drive from where I live. Be careful as Bournemouth and Poole Council likes to place speed cameras in stupid places lol. Beautiful place you will defiantly enjoy it round those parts!

What an absolutely amazing looking house. It's a pity that they want to build the flood walls. Yes I get it's for safety and stopping the house from getting flooded but it would completely ruin the views
I don’t think that you guys should buy it yet. Maybe try an LOA? Delayed payment because of that possibility of the sea wall construction. Imo, there are other options to attempt at managing sea waves other than building a sea wall. And those other options might keep the property value as high and as worth the pricing that it is currently at. So imo no 👎 From a figures/formulas and not feelings standpoint, I would not purchase the property for fear of negative equity. From a humanistic standpoint, if you guys like the area enough to potentially tank a hit from potential property devaluation then by all means do what you love and what makes you guys happy as a family. Why do you think it's not a flood risk? It's still on an artifical (largely) island and is probably lower than those on the beach 😂 Assume you know how bad the traffic is during the summer months? Get a boat!
Sandbanks is lovely, but you’d be mad to live there. It’s the most expensive property in the world per square metre. In the summer it’s over run with tourists and the peninsula is over run with traffic blocking driveways and the roads trying to get across the ferry to Studland. Your paying for the name. There are far better places to live along the sea and beach in Dorset. Purbeck across the ferry for example, would be a far better buy. Plus Sandbanks is far too close to Poole town which is a dump. It’s a no from me. But it would be great to see you guys move down here to Dorset, just pick somewhere better.
