А где сальник хвостовика? Выставление зазора главной пары это шедевр.
вот потому то, когда пришёл в грузоперевозки, первым делом уволил всех узбеков, таджиков и прочих южан.

Bolts are torqued to 1 Abdullah with a 5 foot pipe. Then reuse the old bearings, and beat them with a hammer.
Torque specs for ALL bolts in the Middle East:
1 Abdullah for trucks
1 Hamid for 4 door sedans
1 Muhammad for farm equipment

I must have missed the part where they used a torque wrench, feeler gauges, and a dial indicator. But oh well, I'll bet this repair will goes a million miles. lol

I 've built an engine or two in my day and the way I was taught was to pay attention to OEM spec tolerances, torque values, cleanliness and lubrication none of which I witnessed in this video. But I will say they must provide a valuable service in their country to get a vehicle back on the road and earning someone a living.

Looks like they torque everything to 500 foot pounds or maybe it was 600.
А я то неделю зазор выставлял. пятно контакта мазал синькой, подставлял концевые меры длины! чтобы выставить монтажный размер!
И так претрётся.🤣

У парней моменты затяжки четкие, двухметровая труба дугой.
Молотком затягивать болты это зачёт надо их ещё заварить чтобы на верняка.
у нас все так же делают на сервисах

How I wish my 8.8 rear end was this easy to rebuild. No pinion depth, backlash or even a mesh pattern to worry about.... Just BANG the hell out of it! AHAHAHA
the most frustrating of them all; when you manage to get all those three right but your pre-load was way off in the end.

因為正常差速齒的箱同前軸的輸入位;
應該有油封圈;
但視頻好像未安裝就收緊連接前傳動軸的軸的螺絲;
這樣如果安裝好;
差速箱的 差速油;
就不能留在箱內;
差速齒很快又會燒了;

Тут не в ремонте дело. А в менталитете и культурном укладе жизни. Твоя оценка тут значения не имеет. А им этого ремонта хватает, раз они не спешат ничего меня. Ты пытаешься сравнивать различные вещи между собой.

В принципе, как и в наших авто сервисах, там тоже "за кулисами" такой пиZдец твориться. Только эти пакистанцы без образования и искренне верят в свою работу, а автосервисные кичаться дипломами, но на выходе тоже самое. И беруться за работы, которые оплачиваются дорого, но с меньшими трудозатратами и без какой-либо гарантии на выходе. Очень жаль, что при столь современных технологиях везде пиZдец. А ребятам на видео как минимум уважение за то, что не опускают руки и трудятся.

title should be how not to repair diff gear, I mean nothing was done correctly, even setting the ring on the carrier - use a couple of studs so you don't have to hammer on the casting webs to align it. ever heard of heat rather than using a chisel - but that's probably the least of the worries, the sand is probably the worst even if everything else was right.
OMG just came across this video after watching a US car build ... Tremendous difference in tools and work environment. In Pakistan mean stream repair shop torqueing and measurement are done by the mechanics eyes.

The way they where torqueing those bolts down I was hoping they didn't snap a bolt head.
Honestly I was a bit disappointed they didn't try to weld the teeth back on the gear. Must have been running low on 7018s. Good work for what they have to work with though.

even the sond is bad it wount stand a weak of wear before it will break again.
No regard for quality work as long as it looks right. Some things you can do in a bodged way and it's fine but not a heavy wear and use part like this.

@@drlegendre well yes. never had one myself. never had a need for one either. did use my dti guage made for setting timing on the FIP to check for lash in the front diff when i changed it out for an LSD. but rear is just set up by feel, and its running smoth 3 years later, even had it out to check on it. also changed out beariongs in the bottom end as a 250.000km service. didnt use a tourqe wrench then, same for piston change and headgasket. 2 years and the 30 year old diesel runs silky smooth. dont need fancy tools for anything. a little calibrated fingers gets you most of the way

That's crazy bolt the axle on backwards and hang the center section on it to tighten the bolts. I use a old axle to do that but not a good one all the leverage hanging off the end of the axel and then cranking on it to tighten the bolts you may bend the axle that way but I guess whatever works I guess

When you the rotate pinion gear it will have contact on the ring gear.
They will on only rotate back and forth to determine its backlash. Its easy and it comes with experience

Not the way I was taught on how to setup a Ring and Pinion, maybe the hammer technique is "new" Or at 12:06 you can hear the bearings as the carrier goes around, perhaps thats new way? also they did not put in the pinion seal, so in about 20 miles that carrier and pinion bearing will be full of dirt, Nice job you Scrubs...
Big question: what will they make from the old ring and pinion?
Probably a scrap dealer will melt it down and recycle the metal. You just gotta love their ingenuity .

The torque sequencing of those bolts seems wrong (should be the opposing bolt of the first one and so on) and hitting a new bearing with a hammer is very questionable.

What about leaving the pinion seal out or bearings sitting in the sand?
Surely a minor point compared with not checking the mesh of the cw&p - or the bearing preload.
I admire the skills these men have but a differential gear is a complex piece of machinery that requires very exacting skills and the prodigious use of a true wrench and other specialist tools. I just shook my head when he used a hammer to rue up the bearings etc. The only torque setting I observed was the good old fashioned F. T. setting. Whats the betting that diff will be whining again within a month.
