- In this video, I will briefly explain which components your starter kit should contain, what's important to watch out for with each component, and how the cost stacks up.

I updated the full guide to include the newer version of the kit (using the newer Raspberry Pi 3B+): howchoo.com/g/zdg4zmy4yze/how-to-choose-a-raspberry-pi-starter-kit -- the video is still accurate though :)
pro trick: you can watch series on kaldrostream. I've been using them for watching all kinds of movies lately.
A tip: you can watch series on Flixzone. Been using them for watching loads of movies these days.
@Kylan Evan yup, I have been watching on Flixzone} for since december myself :D
After returning two raspberry pi I finally got a working device. This information is valuable.
Thanks for your tips. Great to hear even the glue could be an issue. Thanks again
This was helpful. I plan on building a retro gaming rig. I will defiantly be subscribing ur channel.
Awesome!
Planning to put up a local but mobile source repository, plus a small rasp-cluster with k8s to do some tests and see actualy how it works
I am looking to make my pi link with home security, home automation and a music server in the garage. Work in progress as I am just learning openhab2
8:26 not necessarily, some kits come with SD cards pre-installed with software like noobs. However, if you want your own custom boot loader I guess it is useful to have one.
Good, simple sensible, nice.
Great video!
Thanks!
can someone could help me to use these to make a box for my gran board wich would run the App. and make the scoreboard screen in same time (online dart electronic board)

Great video, also where did you get your cool pacman Ghost light?
Glad you liked the video! Right here: www.amazon.com/PacMan-Ghost-Light-Table-Lamp/dp/B00U1Y8S40?tag=howchoo-20
great video, thank you. could you do a video on how to connect a printer to the pi, please. idealy the same detail/simpilicty as your pi power button episode. i dont understand cups and i really need to print.
Hey Andy!
Thanks for the suggestion -- I have a huge backlog of videos I want to make, but this one probably isn't a high priority. I'll try to get a normal non-video Howchoo guide posted on our site soon.
Didnt know Thanos was doing RUclips videos now. Wonder how this guy convinced him to be his hand model.
There’s a 50% chance you’re correct
i am making my own cloud using raspberry pi i3
I wanna be able to play rampage world tour and moetal kombat trilogy ps1on my arcade 1up.. which would run this best ?
The Raspberry Pi 3 B+ is the only one that runs RetroPie currently-but when it comes out for the Pi 4 (the latest Raspberry Pi), I'd recommend using that model.
I'm really not pc knowledgeable. Do the kits come with easy to understand instructions
They do not, but there are tons of resources for learning about the Pi. Check out the Pi interest on howchoo for more info: howchoo.com/h/pi
I would get the raspberry abox
I always go with CanaKit. Also second
CanaKit is always a great choice as well! I should add that to the guide :)
Kitane ka h sir ji
How much was this kit you have?
The price fluctuates but it's usually $65-70
I look for Class 10 SD cards
Heat Sink??
it sinks heat
i would like to have is a new Raspberry Pi DVD Player called the Pi Movie Top that's the machine that i would like to have before building it and i am the one that who is going to keep it.
I am going to make computer
I've seen this video too late( I payed 130 bucks for a bunch of crap
My mom wanted to get me a programming kit for $130, so I looked into it and found out I could get 5 times the amount of stuff for $85, and with a pi 4 instead of a 3. So it's ok, there is no way of actually knowing what to research unless you know a little bit before hand.
"think of a project before purchase" uhhhhhhhhhhh does fun count
Risky Wiskyy you could get a simple psu and case kit
I simply DESPISE that exact card reader. I had 2 that were my first ones when I started in Pi-land. It took over 7.5 hours to flash 400g's. Either I got 2 bad ones, or that is how they work. However, I purchased a USB3.0 reader.......same file flashed in 1.5 hours.
I want to make a mini pc
me to
Seven
You don’t need to buy SD adapter, its already built in pi 3
You’ll need one to put the SD card in your computer - either a USB adapter or, if your computer has a full-size SD card slot, a micro to full SD adapter. I’ve never seen a computer with a built-in *MINI* SD card slot.
@@Howchoo both of my hp laptops do, and they're not even top of the line new stuff... they were low end when I bought them 4 years ago....
