In addition to what you said the Raspberry Pi also makes a great Pi-hole / VPN machine. PiVPN is one way to go but I only have experience using Wireguard on the Pi which has worked GREAT. The touchscreen that you have for the Pi is awesome I'll definitely be looking into it for my next Pi. My current Pi is headless as a GUI is not needed and it lowers memory usage.

Hoping to find where I can start, thanks y’all
These things are addicting. I now own two 4B's. I use one for pi-hole, like others have mentioned is great especially WiFi devices that don't have the greatest ad blocking, and for a mumble server. The second one I installed Jupyter with the Python3 and R IRkernel, installed letsencrypt with dynamic DNS. Kinda cool to practice on your own 'cloud server'.

@James Aaron Erang loads, practices learning and fun. Also 100s of projects online you can follow if your less confident on own at start.
I use mine to remotely control my telescope, ccd camera & equatorial mount,,through vcn viewer on my tablet. It's fantastic.
Hello NetworkChuck, I started following your channel about 2 months ago and I have learned more from your tutorials than courses I have taken out of my local college. Thank you for your great work. Can you do a tutorial on how to setup that little LCD screen with your raspberry pi, I even bought one because I want to try your methods, but when I tried setting up the screen, it did not work. Please help me with that.
i feel you man hearing about people not even been born when the SNES came out makes me feel realy old as well.
BTW thank you for your videos. helps me alot to learn about tech just orderd me a pi as well to play around with linux aswell as hacking and learning something in the process
Thank you for showing how much fun the tech world can be.
SNES??? If it makes you feel any better, Shockley invented the transistor 4 years before I was born, and won the Nobel prize for it the year after I was born. That was a big deal, that paved the way for computers without vacuum tubes. Thanks for the video. I haven’t played with Kali Linux yet and watching this video I remembered I have a spare Pi in my desk drawer, I’ll install Kali tomorrow.
Hey man. I’m a bit of a newbie so I would like to see you do a setup video on how to put this all together. It would really help a lot! Thanks for the vids 🤙🏻
Its in the decription
You are real and inspirational. I just bought Raspberry Pi 4 right now
I wasn't alive when the SNES was made. I was born just after the PS2 came out.
Shit.... Now THAT makes me feel suuuuper old....
@@trashymctrash5175 😂🤣
i was still playing ps1 and n64, when ps2 came out
I usually have anywhere from 100 to 500 tabs opened on chromium. It is from 2-3 to even 20 windows at time. I have 2 2560x1600 and 2 1920x1200 monitors, so having multiple windows is not problem. I have "task bar" on every monitor, it is very thick (around 200 pixels) and it is auto hide, auto popup
Bro. Love this channel. You were the first link to my Google search of Raspberry Pi. I came for classic emu gaming and learned so much more! I will be watching more of your excellent videos. Great work my man!
Thanks Frank!! Excited and grateful to have you join me!
Crazy how much the quality of his videos have changed since 4-5 years ago
I was alive when my mom bought an NES. Then got us kids an snes a couple years later. Didnt get the 64 until 2 years after its release.
Dude, my first computer was an Atari ST with the motherboard and disk drive built into the keyboard. I had a Commodore 64 with a tape drive and a Nimrod. I feel old, but grateful I got to use computers that took 10 minutes just to boot up.
You've convinced me. I'm getting into Pi!!!
you gotta try retropie it's awesome
i am new to Raspberry and thinking of learning. This is cool way to start. Thank you so much
Thanks for sharing your passion. That's what makes the channel great!
Thanks Todd!
Hi! What i did with some pi's 4 years ago was a wifi sniffer using some big alpha antennas connected and detecting mobile phones distance and moving speed.
I had mine as an openvpn server as well! So dope what you can do with these things. Congrats on the baby as well! Take care my friend!
Beard and Scotch. We do have some nice craft beer locally too. For me the brew is a summer thing. Thank you for the Rasp Pie layout. It gives me another device to play or work with and the Mrs, will not complain about another with the desktops and laptops I have around the house. Is 7 too many? Only 3 adults in the house. If you guessed me to be a grey haired kid, you might be right! Cheers!
Congratulations on the new family member!!
Thank you!
Who?
8:54 If you hate losing all your tabs (as I do), I recommend this chrome extension called session buddy, it basically records all your tabs in sessions and when it reaches like 12 pm, it saves all the tabs you currently have and starts a new session, you can also manually save sessions. Not affiliated or anything, just a fan.
i wasn't alive when the SNES came out but to this day i play the handmedown console from my older sister.
great videos!
I should have been watching your videos 4 years ago.
Ooooo, Spyro was a great game on PS1. I remember playing it a lot.
Takes me back!
I wannna come over and play!!!!! SO MANY SHINY THINGS and soo many shiny toys! What a set up you have!!! ! I dont have a beard though....yet...I'm only in my 50's!!
*Turns phone on vibrate*
*Looks at watch when he gets a text*
love my NES had it as a child and i still have it and it still works
Great beard. I’m way older (maybe not way, but enough to have kids in college) than you and quite envious of your beard. Keep it growing!
@Darth Sidious Who, You? :D
I was going to use it because I moved into these new apts by the lake in the colony/lewisville TX and they tried to charge me an obscene amount for a additional key(rfid proxy) and on top of that they charge if you happen to forget to give your wife her keys back! Sooo, I was mainly going to do it to show them how dumb their smart keys really are!!
MotionEyeOS is a really cool OS for the Pi. It turns your Pi into a camera server that has auto recording etc. Just plug in a cheap USB web cam and you're good.
I've been subscribed about 1yr I sure would like one of those, been playing around with the pi and this is perfect addition
3:35 "thankfully I have some time"
3:36 low subs hit, looks at text, unknown number, "your time is up"
cut to black
I love my Pi3 and Pi4! I should probably use them for more than just RetroPie though!
Hey love your chan I've been watching for couple months now
"If ya got a beer, let me know, if ya got a beard... Let me know." 😂
Bro..... dead serious he said this as I was reading it like on point lmaooo
Been in a CEH bootcamp for almost a year now, have learned more then I ever imagined. Do have a dumb ? Which seems so easy but have been fighting this for a couple days. I cannot seem to get kali loaded. Anyone ever run into the same please let me know the fix.
Pi hole & DNS, open vpn and 3d printer control.
Sadly, I was not alive when the NES or SNES were released, I also like the word disconcerting, you sir, have earned a comment and a like.
I wasn't alive when teh SNES came out! But I've played on my dad's one, I think it's still in the loft!
Another great use is video surveillance. Kerberos video surveillance system, with Escam QH002 and QD300 IP cameras, makes for a cheap and versatile system. Still in the process of building one myself.
I've got a beer and a beard, I must be in the right spot
Yes agreed, fifteen tabs on this box and my windbox has several browsers open with multiple tabs.
Why did you feel the need to buy a wifi dongle, when the Pi3 has a wifi antenna pre installed on the board?
I think for Monitor Mode.?
@@BenjaminHeruth Yeah bang on fella!! you need your WiFi adapter to be able to have a promiscuous mode
My first computer was a Commodore 64 with tape drive and do remember playing Giana Sisters on it. I also had all gaming consoles, Nintendo NES, Sega, Gameboy,… How old I feel now :D
I've never gotten my hands on a raspberry pi. Would really love to have one to use in my hacking tutorials.
Wonderful vid Chuck
Thank you! And yes get one!
